Its been 3 weeks since I have not been involved in any fights.

Valter is my childhood friend. He knows how to read my mood and everything about me. By the way, he sure is intimidated by my aura right now.

By the way my name is Hinari Castell. In short, Rin. And now is my first day in class. I'm supposed to be home studying since I was a kid because of being involved in endless fighting. And today is my first day unleashed and sent into a highschool near our house. My father is a Taekwondo master and I learned Taekwondo by watching him and training by myself. I didn't know the day came that I finally beat the crap out of that old man since he always speaks for me to act like a decent lady and like a proper girl.

" Hey Val, do you think I'm a proper girl?"

"As long as you don't have the thing we men have down there, then you're a proper girl hahaha"

"I'm being serious now! You want to be seriously injured?!"

Scaring him is useless. This man is always provoking me since he know I wont hurt him. He's always a weakling. And didn't really know how to fight. He was really a weakling since we were a kid.

"Rin, why did you practice martial arts?"

"Because there's someone I really need to protect"

"Hah. It must be that guy again! How dare he dump you I'm gonna beat the s*it out of him!"

"I told you it's not him. Hahaha what are you so mad for?"

He's so cute. Getting all mad like that. I really like to watch his ugly face while I pat his head. I can't explain it from him. Val is so weak since we were a kid to the point that he's always the target of the bullies from our school.

HINARI (POV)

"Look! There's that loser Val again! Let's pick on him!'

"Yeah right! I'm really bored right now!"

"Hey what's this Val?"

He said while grabbing Val's lunch. Val is eating alone because we had a fight and he has no other friends than me. Val is frowning. This time I want him to fight for himself so I'm not gonna meddle and watch how he handles things.

"Ah you want that? Then you can have it."

Val is smiling. I sensed nothing in his smile but pain.

"Jerk what are you talking about we don't want this thing were gonna break this!"

"Guys! Break his toy!"

"Hahaha how pitiful. Even Deyari got sick of you and left you alone. What a weakling! Hahaha"

I don't wanna interfere. I don't wanna go against his resolve. But I got dragged here so I'm gonna do my part...

"Stop that! Do boys really like to pick on handsome guys? How Shameless."

"Handsome? Hey Deyari, get your a*s out of here. You're mine and this guy is in the way."

"What a childish reason. That must be why no one likes you. Hahaha"

"You're getting on my nerves. Hey guys don't touch Rin. Beat up that Val guy"

Val got beaten up because of me. In the end he's still the one who protected me. Rain started to pour and adding more sadness in the mood. But Val just smiled.

"Val, I'm sorry. I should've not interfered."

"It's okay. Men should protect girls. I'm sorry you got dragged in the fight and I'm sorry for getting angry of you yesterday."

Val looked really helpless.Tears started to roll from his eyes and his face looked worse because of the rain. But those gentle smile together with those lying eyes. I don't want to see them again. I don't wanna see Val be hurt again. I'm weak and I can't do anything for him. I clenched my hand wanting to get revenge at everyone who hurt Val. I won't let them get away with this.

"Hey Val. Don't worry, I'll protect you."

Those words just suddenly came out of my mouth without even thinking. He got his feet back on the ground again and offered me his hand.

"Nope. Didn't I say Men should protect girls?"

He rubbed his tears off his cheek and smile at me again. I nodded and smiled back at him.

"Then let's protect each other. Hahaha Let's go home and soak into water. I just felt some chills on my spine."

" Rin... Thank you."

"By the way Rin, we're on the same class. Let's sit beside each other!"

"Hey do you think we can decide that ourselves? The teacher is gonna decide for that ."

"Then let's pay the teacher"

"uhm Val, I think that girl is heading this way."

I'm pointing put the girl heading on our way. Val is quite popular with the girls since he got a charming and a really soft look. I bet this is another confession again.

" I'm gonna look for our room by myself, go for it Val!"

I just turned in a corner and watched him. He always had that soft look and a smile on his face. That idiot. He always smiled ever since that day. He never showed any tears since that day. I felt sad knowing there's another love rival coming towards Val again. I just can't come up what words to say and I don't have any courage to say those words to him. I'm just a friend to him and I should know my place. I don't know why but Val has never liked anyone before and maybe never and in the future too. Lol. He turned down almost 1/4 of girls here in our school. Thank b*stard really...

Val found his way on our classroom and sat at the desk next to my back since both desk on my sides are taken.

"Okay class, get back to you seats. Let me introduce you our transferees."

The teacher stared at both Val and me and at the guy in the back.

"Please stand and introduce yourselves."

"Hello everyone, I'm Hinari Castell, 17 and I like Martial Arts."

"Pleased to be with you everyone, my name is Valter Krouge, 17, and I like—"

"Vàle Gjoice, 18, none"

He didn't even bothered to greet us. He looks bored. He glared at Val before he covered himself with his hood. I didn't even have a chance to properly look at his face. I just saw how scary his eyes were.

"Val do you know him?"

"No..."

"But I saw him glar—"

"It doesn't matter. It's none of your business."

Val looked scary. He doesn't look like the soft boy that I have always been together with. His reaction affected my thoughts. He's right. It's none of my business. I shouldn't stick my nose into it.

"Well, I guess it really is none of my concern." while giving him a concerned look.

"I'm sorry... By the way let's eat lunch together!"

Here he is, the old Val the one with the most shiniest smile to the point that it even makes me proud whenever anyone confesses on him. I can't explain but I really am concerned everytime someone is confessing on him.

"Hey Val, is something wrong? Looks like you're worried about something."

"Rin, let me walk you home okay?"

"Huh? What are you talking about? Your house is on the other way hahaha"

"But I need to protect you, so just do as I say please? ⊙︿⊙"

The guys at the back didn't listen in the lessons at all! He just slept all day and yawn What a jerk! He doesn't value how free they are to study he just fools around yawning like that.

"Hello! My name is Shisha Pedez, you're Hinari right?"

A girl just sat in front of my desk and act all clingy.

"Yes, so what about it? You one of Valter's ants again? Sorry I can't disclose any information to you!" *sarcastically*

"Hahahahaha lol as if. It's my second year here, still got no friends."

"Hahahaha I just felt confident with you guys here. Maybe because I'm dumb? Having smart friends is pretty handy yah know?"

I never thought she was this kind. The first friend I ever had this highschool. Hays, schools sure are interesting huh. I can't let them know that jerk is my brother he just yawned all day! I'm gonna give him a beating later.

"Uhm so Rin, where did you go in Middle School? "

"Me? Uhm let's say I'm like an unleashed tiger for now. I study at home. Tutors just go to our home to teach me. And since I want to experience a normal highschool life like you guys do, I challenged my father to a fight lol."

"What?? Seriously??"

"I'm always involved at endless fightings since I was a kid and just beat everyone up. So my father kept me in the house and never got out again. I challenged him in exchange fof freedom!"

"That's really brave of you."

"You think so?"

"Yeah, I'm just a normal schoolgirl with strict parents and a hella brother. But I understand him though. I know he's not just throwing tantrums. My parents did something really bad and traitorous to him when we were young and he can't move on. Since then he never followed everything my parents say and lead his life. I hope someday I could do that to. I want to lead my life freely to. Right?"

"That's a sad thing. But there's more on bravery not just fighting! Telling your parents what you really feel and admitting that you feel suffocated with them is counted as bravery! So you don't have to worry about that at all!"

I noticed my brother following us all the way from the campus.
