"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" Three gunshot sounds echoed in the shooting range.
"Boss, you are amazing. You hit the target three times right in the chest." A guy wearing a black suit said to a lady in a white fit outfit.
She swung her brown hair from her front to her back, then her pink lip curved into a deep smile as her black eyes widened.
All the guys in the shooting range had their eyes off their shooting target and focused on her. She could see the lust in their eyes and their yearning for her, and she loved every bit of attention.
"Excuse me, pretty. May I know your name?" A husky guy asked.
She slyly giggled as she drew near him. When their bodies were close enough, her fingers pressed against his chest before she tiptoed towards his ear.
"It's Xena." She whispered, then let out a soft breeze into his ears.
"Well, mine is Derrie." He said with a seductive voice.
"Boss, your phone is ringing." The man in the black suit announced.
"Carlez, how many times did I tell you not to disturb me when I am talking to a handsome dude?" Xena told her bodyguard.
"Countless times, boss. I am sorry, but this person keeps calling." Carlez said.
Xena reluctantly showed her palm, and Cralez rested the phone in it. She frowned when she saw the name on the screen.
"Why is this lousy human being calling me?" Xena mumbled before answering the call.
"Xenn... What's up, boo? Are you still nerdy like when you were in high school? Gosh, it's been so many years since graduation. Plus, you have disappeared from the surface of the earth like you never existed. It's not like anyone noticed you in high school anyway. Did you find a rock to crawl in and hide your face from the outside world?"
Xena rolled her eyes at every word the caller had said. She was amazed at how years had passed, and still, some people continue to remain the same.
"Who am I speaking with?" Xena asked before softly giggling since she knew who was speaking.
"Wow! How dare you forget about me? It's Sophie. The former leader of the cheerleading team from your former high school." Sophie's angry voice flowed into Xena's ears.
"Oh, that Sophie. What do you want?" Xena asked.
The line became silent for a while, and Xena knew that Sophie was enraged by her reply.
"Haha. Who knew that a few years out of high school would make you arrogant? Anyway, I am hosting a one-month class reunion on my daddy's island, and the others thought that it wouldn't feel the same if everyone didn't show up, including you. So, you got invited too."
Xena could hear the arrogance in Sophie's voice, but she was not the same Xena from her high school days, so it did not bother her.
"When and where?" Xena asked with a cunning smile on her face.
"Uh, you are willing to show your face?" Sophie's shocked voice echoed from the phone.
"Why not? You and everyone is going to be there, so why can't I show up?"
"Well, your attitude has changed a bit, but I am sure your hideous face is still the same."
"Sophie, please keep those insults for yourself and send me the address to your father island."
"Whatever, I will message it to you. Just know that all your high school crushes will be there, and since they were all not interested in you before. I am sure that they won't be since I guess that you are still poor and nerdy as before, but good luck, honey."
Xena ended the call with a pleasing smile on her face, then handed the phone over to Cralez.
"Oh, I am looking forward to that." Xena mumbled out of excitement.
"Sweetheart, where were we before that call disturbed our conversation?" Derrie asked.
Xena's mood had changed, and she did not look gentle anymore, but her expression has become aloof.
"I don't have time to continue our discussion. Cralez, let's go. We have some shopping to do." Xena coldly replied.
Derrie grabbed Xena's hand as she was about to walk away. He then pulled her towards him, causing her to slam into his body.
"Come on, baby. I am sure you can make time for me." Derrie rudely said with his hand tightly around Xena's waist.
Xena frowned at him before forcefully hitting her knee between his leg, which caused him to drop to his knee. She then punched him hard against his nose.
Everyone at the shooting range stared in shock and amusement at Xena and Derrie.
"You bitch!" Derrie screamed as blood rolled from his nose.
"That's what you get for messing with a badass boss." Xena stated with a faint smile before walking away with her bodyguard beside her.
As she and Cralez entered the hallway, Xena stopped walking and turned to stare at her bodyguard.
"Boss, what's wrong?" Cralez worriedly inquired when he saw the anger in Xena's eyes.
"Why did I hire you?" Xena asked.
"To protect you, boss."
"Did you protect me in there?"
Cralez bent his head in shame, knowing that he had disappointed Xena again.
"No, boss." Cralez whispered.
"Why?" Xena asked.
"I am sorry, boss. You are such a skillful fighter, and that makes me sometimes forget that I have to defend you. I know that you don't need me to protect you because you are a better fighter than me, so that causes me to forget my job most of the time."
"Don't let it happen again. I hired you because I don't want to get my hands bloody all the time."
"Yes, boss. I promise from today that I will never allow anyone to take advantage of you."
Xena's phone buzzed, and she stared at the screen and saw that she had a message from Sophie.
"I may not need your promise now." Xena said with a pleasing smile after reading the text.
"Why is that, boss." Cralez worriedly asked, thinking that he was about to get fired.
"Because where I am going for the next month, no one can know my status, that's why I can't take you or the other guys with me." Xena explained.
"Why is that, boss?"
"I am traveling back home, and I don't want to ruin the fun."
Cralez looked confused, but he knew that Xena was a smart woman, and if she said that she did not need him for one month, then who was him to argue.
The moment Xena walked out the door, her fifty bodyguards assembled in a protective position around her.
"Welcome back, boss!" They unitedly announced.
Xena gave them a brief smile before entering into the driver's seat of her Bugatti Divo. She then speedily drove ahead of her bodyguards' cars.
"Welcome to K airline. Thank you for flying with us. Please make sure to follow the airport procedure and have a nice day." The monitor in The lobby said.
Xena rolled her two suitcases along with her as she left the building. The blazing sunlight hit against her face the moment she walked out.
"Ha. It's good to be back in a country where all my nightmares are from." Xena mumbled.
"Madam, do you need a ride! I can take you anywhere you want to go!" A young taxi driver shouted out.
Xena turned her head and gazed directly at the driver. Then she smiled, and in that instant, the young man froze.
"How can such an exquisite woman walk among mere mortals like us." He mumbled out loud, even though those words were meant to get said in his head.
Xena slyly giggled as she watched the number of men that had their eyes focused only on her while they drool because of her beauty.
"He's cute. So it's not a lost ride with him." Xena mumbled.
She then held tightly to her suitcase handle as she got ready to roll them.
"Stop!" The young man yelled with his eyes focused on Xena.
She looked a bit confused about his sudden change of behavior. But. Xena was a woman that mastered masks, so she hid her confusion behind her calm expression.
"An angel like you shouldn't be carrying such heavy luggage. Let me do it." The driver said.
Xena giggled, and then she was about to answer when she felt a tap on her shoulder. So she turned around to take a look.
"If you don't mind, I have a Range Rover, and I will love to take you home in it." A handsome fellow proudly said.
Xena gazed at how self-absorbed he seemed, and all she wanted to do was crush his manly ego.
"No!" Xena said.
"Why?" The fellow asked.
"Because a man like yourself is not something I find interesting."
"What!"
He could hear people softly giggling, and it made him a bit embarrassed and burning with rage. But he kept his anger well hidden behind his stiff smile.
"If you come with me, I can guarantee that you will never lack a thing in your life because I will give you everything." The fellow arrogantly said.
"You! Why are you trying to steal my customer?" The driver screamed.
"Shut your trash! No one asked you to speak!"
"Hey! You can't talk to me like that!"
"If you don't want your *** beat up and sent to prison, then you better shut your filthy hole."
The noise began to rise among the crowd that was watching from a close distance.
"Isn't that the commissioner's son? I heard that his father is quite wealthy." A lady whispered to the next lady standing beside her.
"Now we know while he is so arrogant!" The other lady mumbled.
People had a lot of words to say about the situation, and none of their statements was in favor of the commissioner's son.
"Rude much." Xena reluctantly mumbled.
She then pulled her suitcases along with her as she started walking towards the taxi. But a few steps away, Xena's luggage stopped moving.
With a cunning smile plastered on her lips, Xena turned around and faced the commissioner's son.
"Don't be shy. You can tell me what you want and I will give it to you. Now let me drop you to your destination." He rudely said.
"I do want something from you." Xena shyly replied.
The commissioner's son proudly smiled. Then he licked his bottom lip as he stared at Xena with lust in his eyes.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I need those filthy things you call fingers off my bag, and I want you to crawl back to wherever you came from because your face is not something pleasant to look at, and your attitude is disgusting," Xena shouted.
The front of the airport building grew noisy with laughter coming from every angle. Everyone seemed to be laughing except the commissioner's son. He didn't appear excited about Xena's remark.
"You have guts. Do you believe that because you are a beautiful woman that I will go easy on you?" The commissioner's son screamed.
"So disrespectful. Even a dog knows how to act well behaved. It's a shame you can't even do that." Xena calmly said.
She then turned around to leave, but the commissioner's son roughly grabbed her wrist.
"Where the hell do you think you are going! I am not don't with you yet!" He shouted.
The men in the crowd frowned, and some of them were about to come to Xena recused when she screamed, "You guys don't need to get yourself in such a petite matter. I am not a damsel in distress."
The guys hesitated for a minute. Then they took a step back.
"You are an extremely arrogant man. But I will give you a second to get your dirty hand off me." Xena calmly said.
"And what if I don't?" The commissioner's son aggressively asked.
Xena smiled at him, and before he had the chance to react, she twisted her wrist and forcefully yanked it out of his grip. Then she grabbed him by his hand and swung him.
Everyone's eyes remained focused on the commissioner's son as he spun in the air, then forcefully dropped to the rough floor.
He felt extremely embarrassed, and in a rush, he struggled to get up from the ground, but a piercing pain in his wrist caused him to fall back to the floor.
"Ahhh! My hand. What did you do to my wrist." The commissioner's son screamed in pain.
"I popped the bones from joining. Right now you wouldn't be able to use that hand for anything, so I advised you to go to the hospital before it starts to swell." Xena replied.
She then turned around and started walking away.
"You! Where are you going? Get back here! I will not spare you. Do you know who my father is?" The commissioner's son shouted.
Xena turned her head and smiled at him, then winked before getting into the taxi.
"Miss, you are so cool." The driver said as he started the car engine.
"That's nothing," Xena mumbled while staring out the window at the commissioner's son's anger expression with a pleasing smile on her face.
