My heart stopped and I felt the deadliest cold around me. The alarm began to hit my mind with the warning that “I'm late”. I rushed off to get myself ready for the day but I hope will be a good day than the other worst days in my school.

 I looked at myself in the mirror hoping to finish the school successfully though I knew that the worst is coming in the upcoming days. I took my bag and arranged my books and ensured that I am wearing my protective bracelet in my left hand. The bracelet was my only protection which my mom left for me at her death time.

 While I was locking the door, I could hear the sounds off my neighbors whispering within them about the new neighbor next to my door this describing that “He was so handsome, young boy”.

But they suddenly stopped talking then they saw me and I couldn't hear more about it. I began to walk passing the next door and plugging the earphones in my ear trying to get off my mind from the thoughts of the next door.

 I took off my bicycle and began to ride it in the direction of my school where I should be arrived in five minutes. I set my stop watch timing at five minutes and began my ride with a hectic speed and reached my destination at the actual time. I found myself relieved and happy by reaching before I get too late to my class. When I entered into the class, I could able to hear the voices fading and the stare of the girls and boys looking with hatred in their eyes.

I walked to the front and sat in my desk and the teacher came in to the class by announcing the arrival of the new student. The new boy walked in to the class and everyone smiled, cheered and whispered by saying “He is so handsome”. The teacher told him to introduce himself and he said his name as, “David”.

He was told to sit at the available places and there were two seats available one was at the back and the other seat was next to mine. He walked in front of me and sat next to me and said my name “Hi, Anamica. I’m David..."  the first person to address my name after a long time, was he, which I never expected. but still I was scared to face the new handsome stranger.

 Then he approached me and asked me “You are an Anamika right?”. And I looked at him with a confused glare. I answered him in a stammering way, “Y...e....s” “How do you know me?”. He smiled at me, further he slowly approached me and whispered in my ear, “secret” and then he sat next to me. After a long boring class, I saw him and tried to observe him but I was clear and was damn sure that I haven't ever seen him. but the question in my mind was kept on ringing with a confusion that how does he know my name?

 After the class ended the other boys and the girls went near him and tried to befriend him. And feeling uneasy with the surrounding, I stood up from my seat and tried to get out of my class but suddenly I felt as if someone was pulling me back. When I turned back, I saw him approaching me. I was shocked to see him holding my hand and soon I took off my hand and I asked him “What?”.

 He smiled at me and asked me to show him a tour of the new school, as he was new student to the school. Before I tried to answered him, I saw the bracelets glowing which never glowed before and I was puzzled by this situation. I didn't even know what to do so I tried to hide the glowing bracelet and ran off from the class. I was scared that he might have noticed the glowing bracelet still I was not sure. And realized that I ended up myself inside the girl's restroom.

After the hectic day in the school, I reached my home with no energy. As I had a lot of confusions running in my mind, I didn’t realize the time and let my body to have a little sleep. I tried to sleep by putting off my confusions in a side and suddenly I felt myself standing in front of a mirror in a dark room. I tried to see the mirror intensely and slowly I started to hear a voice of a woman singing “Mmm... Where are you?... My....”. I was so scared inside and I slowly observed the place and found a door in the darkest room.

I tried to open the door slowly without creating any noise and when I opened it, I saw a series of rooms with numbers hooked up like Room 1, Room 2, Room 3, etc... Soon, I heard a sound of someone walking in the upstairs and I tried to find the staircase but there were none. I walked passing the rooms and tried to open it but when I reached the door the voices began to disappear and I saw a woman dressed in black attire standing in the end of the block.

“Who are you?” “What is this place?” “Where am I?”. No answer came from her. She kept on staring me from the place where she was standing. When I tried to walk towards her, the door next to me opened and I saw her standing inside the room. I was shocked to see her there and when I turned back to see her at the end of the block. She was not there. Then I turned towards the door next to me, I saw her next to me holding a knife in my neck.

Shouting with a scared voice I woke up from my strange scary dream and was puzzled more. I realized the time and looked at my cellphone to switch off the alarm for my part time job. And I dressed myself to work as a part-timer. I took my bag and came out of my home. While I was locking my door, I heard the same voice of the strange handsome boy of my class, “Hi, Anamika. What a surprise?” “Are you living here?”. Yes, the strangest thing, it was the new boy David.

I looked at him and wondered “How did he ended up as my neighbor?”. Though it was strange I didn’t care about it. As I had many things in head to bear. So, I tried to ignore him and plugged in my headphones in to my ear. I began to walk front and he hopped in front of me by inserting a piece of paper into my hands. And he asked me “Where are you going?” I didn’t answer him and looked at him with a surprise.

In a flash of moment, I saw a delivery man approaching him fast and I pulled him at a side to prevent him from falling into the ground. And he ended up getting close to me and his eyes glared at mine. I saw his smiling face and my heart started to beat fast and to ignore this I tried to move back and tripped over the wall. Suddenly his hands captured me and he pulled me back near him.
