Chapter 1 : Beginning

Selene's Point of View

I am currently standing infront of a huge, ravishing and colorful palace. I feel anxious just by staring at it.

Blame my merciless Mom for sending me here!

Shocks! I really don't know what to do right now. Maybe I should just go with the flow. Right. I'll just go with the flow.

-FLASHBACK-

" What? No! I don't want to! " I refused as I shook my head several times.

" Listen, Selene. You have to enter that palace to blah blah blah " said Mom.

I just ignored her. I don't want to go to that freakin' palace whatever the reason is. It's surrounded by a thousands of people from different Kingdoms, especially Mizus. And it freakin' sucks.

There are six Kingdoms-- the Mizu; Water element, the Kaen; Fire element, the Kaze; Wind element, the Chikyū; Earth element, the Hikari; Light element, and the Yami; Dark element.

That palace she's talking about is the Elemental Palace. It was builded by the most powerfull Kingdom above the five-- the Mizu. It's located at the center and it consists the Light Alliance, the alliance between the five Kingdoms that is created by King Wade. Yes, just five. We aren't one of them; ofcourse. The Royalties of the five Kingdoms lives there, too.

And yes, they're allies. They're all teaming up against us. So cruel, right?

The rest of the Kingdoms considered us evils because of our element and they also think we are. In fact, we are all the same despite of our different elements, we are just like them. And we aren't that bad. It's just that our Kingdoms have different beliefs. They thinks of us as a villain. What do they think of themselves then? A protagonist? Tsk. They're really captious.

Well, I can't blame them. It seems to be a stereotype that Dark is bad and Light is good.

But who knows, whom they think are good are maybe.. the real enemy.

" SELENE ! "

I was taken back to reality when I heard Mom screamed my name. Is my name that nice?

" What is it again, Mom? " I asked.

Seems like I spaced out. Did I even reach Mars? Sounds corny. Nevermind.

She took a deep breath, " What I am saying is that you're gonna enter that palace. You will serve as our eye. " she said calmly.

" I wont go there to do those freakin' things you've said earlier Mom. I'm just sixteen years young for pete's sake! You're overestimating me. " I complained.

" You are the only one who is capable to do this mission, Selene. As the Crowned Princess, the future of our Kingdom depends on you. Prove yourself to us, prove it that you are worthy to be the next Queen. " Mom said while looking directly through my eyes, through my soul. And I can sensed her seriousness on her voice.

Shocks! Am I really going there? I don't think so if I can even survive there in a minute without killing anyone. Somebody, please tell me it's just a prank! I wont be mad, I promise.

" Here. " she said and handed me tons of papers.

I guess this papers are the documents I needed to enter that damn palace. Shit. She's really serious on the idea of sending me there.

" But... " I was about to complain but she suddenly cut me off.

" End of discussion. "

By that, I can't do anything anymore. Hah! How about my freedom of choice? As an individual, I have the right to choose my own course of action. Hmph!

Going to that freakin' palace is one of my freakin' nightmares yet Mom ordered that to me not even giving me a chance to complain.

" Seems like I don't really have a choice. " I whispered to myself and sighed.

What should I do? I don't want to disappoint Mom and Dad, my comrades, my Kingdom. So I must succeed.
