“Shit!” Jeff got annoyed and hit the steering wheel.

“Bro, I’ve told you before, this time traffic would be worse. Now see what’s happening. Don’t blame me if you are getting late”, said Ben.

‘‘I won’t blame you’’, said Jeff and pressed the horn again.

Jeff and Ben are siblings. Ben is younger than Jeff for 4 years. Jeff obviously knew that the traffic would be worse, but he was worried that the model Ben prepared for the science competition would get damaged. Though his brother can go by cab, getting the chance to act like an older brother rarely comes.

Cars start to move slowly.

‘‘Don’t get stressed, I’m sure, your screen test will be good”, Ben tried to cheer his brother.

"Thanks", Jeff said and speed up the car.

Jeff Lee and his family are in New York for last 15 years. Before they were residents of Canada. He is a student of drama school in New York, last year he participated as a side role of a documentary and several dramas conducted by their school. His younger brother is in grade 8 and very studious, and a full supporter of his acting. Actually, Jeff's whole family is very much supportive that sometimes it makes him worried about his success in this field, he doesn't want to disappoint his family anyway.

After 45 minutes Jeff came to the Independent art studio. He went into the elevator and came to the 5th floor. With a sound elevator door open and he saw Ms. Lacy Smith. He greeted her with a smile.

She is the casting director of the film. Her associate, Sam was there too.

"It's good that you have the time sense, someone else has been already 1hour late. ", she said in an agitated voice.

Jeff looked at Sam and asked in gesture.

Sam put a plain face but his try to tighten his jaw was a proof that he was enjoying to see his boss having a hard time.

After some moment the elevator made another sound and the door opened. A handsome face came into the sight of Jeff. The guy must be of the same age as Jeff, tall and slender figure was covered with a casual outfit. Jeff himself is quite handsome and tall, at least his family and friends think so.

"Hi Lacy, how are you?", that guy came to lacy's side and asked.

" You are 1 hour late. Don't you have a watch? ", Lacy replied in a rage.

"It's 1 hour and 20 mins and last day because of you I was late for my magazine shoot", he replied casually.

Sam hardly managed his laughter. Jeff found it funny cause his cool attitude was making Lacy more irritated.

"Okay, don't waste time here, let's go inside. Everyone is waiting for both of you ", she said then was about to go to the other side she stopped.

"I forgot to introduce you to each other, this is Jeff who got selected for the role Frank and this is Eric,selected for the role Ren ".

"Hi", Jeff moved to shake hands.

"You can call me Z , nice to see you ", he shook Jeff's hand.

Mr. David Brown is the director of the film. This is his first time directing a movie, before he was a screenwriter of a well known production house. Producer of the film, John Perry and Sophia Brook were talking with David. Screenwriter John Riff was talking with the other cast members. After a while, the meeting got started.

'' Hello everyone. Nice to see you all again. My team already gave you an overview of your characters, but I want you, especially the actors, to read the novel. This novel has a backstory and I want to share it with you guys. This novel was published in a web portal and it started to get popular some of the production house try to seize the opportunity to make a film adapted from it. But when they try to contact the author, they got rejections. They got just mails from the author side that it should not be released as a movie. And the interesting fact is, no one knows about the author's identity. Even many people try to fetch some information, but all in vain. We only know the pen name Mitsuha. You must be thinking how on earth I get through this and get the chance to make it a movie? Actually, I also don't know what is the reason, but one day I got a call from the author out of the blue. First I thought it must be a prank, but then I got the original manuscript from her. I was totally shocked. So anyway Mitsuha somehow convinced with my screenwriting skills that she wants me to direct this.

So now it's our responsibility to justice her novel and make it our best movie."

After exchanging some few words with the cast and the producer the meeting ended for that day.

Before screen test, all the actors got their scripts.

The Workshop will be started from the next week. An acting coach will join them to give some advice on body language of the characters and to improve a comfort zone between the male leads. Because it's a love novel about two boys and their sexual orientation and acceptance so the bonding between the male leads is one of the ingredients that makes the movie successful.

"Nervous?" Z asked.

''A little bit", Jeff gave an awkward smile.

Jenny and her assistant came to give some outfit to try on. She already worked with Z in a fashion magazine photo shoot and she was the stylist there too.

Z picked one of the outfit and put it in front of Jeff.

''It looks good on you. Come on, try it" Z said with a charming smile.

Jeff took the outfit and went into the change room.

"Hmmm, not bad. Actually, I'm looking handsome in this", Jeff said, looking at the mirror.

When Z changed into suggested clothes the screen test started.

The scene is 2 male leads had a fight with a group of senior in high school and when the seniors left, they were lying down on the and started laughing, then Frank (Jeff) will touch the corner of the lips of Ren (Z) and will say," You are bleeding". There is nothing to memories of this scene only they have to connect with the emotions of the characters. Frank and Ren, these two characters were friends from the beginning of the novel and in this particular scene they will feel a sexual tension between them.

David explained the scene to Jeff and Z.

"Okay? So can you start? ", David asked with enthusiasm.

Both of them nodded their heads and David went to sit beside the camera guy Justin and looked at the screen.
