wildlife refers to all plants and animals sash as birds,and mammals which live in their particular habitats far away from harm people may cause.Wildlife is considered one of the country's natural resources,along with water,soil,minerals,and the other resources of the forests and the seas.

Any animal or plant that is gone forever is said to be instinct.Many species of wildlife that lived long ago have become extinct because of changes in our world .Some of these changes are brought about by nature,but others are caused be people and their activities.

An example of extinction is the case of the dinosaurs.About sixty-five million years ago,dinosaurs were the main life form.Then,a sudden change in climate happened due to the collision between Earth and an asteroid.This change in climate killed many species,including the dinosaurs.In this case,extinction was due to natural causes.In other cases,humans have been the couse of extinction.Some animals like the dodo bird and the thylacine or Tasmanian tiger become extinct when they were ohunted by people until none were left.

Example of animals that are now close to extinction because of people are the Philippine tamaraw and Philippine eagle.Many years ago,these animals were many in our country.As the human population increased,people needed more food,shelter,and amenities down to provide materials for houses,play grounds,school,office,roads,and other structures needed in a civilized society.As the natural habitat of the tamaraw and the eagle lessened,so did the population of these animals.

Perhaps the greatest danger to wildlife.
