You were on your way back home from school. The street was quiet.

The wind breeze blew calmly making you feel relaxed after long exhausting school hours.

"It had to be like this?!" said Chaemin stomping her feet against the ground, emphasizing the last word.

You secretly chuckled at her.

"I heard that. Seriously!? I'm in sPPAAINN!" she continued gazing at you in disbelief.

The fact that she had been wailing for about half an hour straight, irritated you but entertained you as well.

"I thought you weren't serious about your feelings for him. You know like fun or something like that. " you said mockingly while Chaemin stepped closer to choke you.

Well, OFC she did not.

"JOKE?! There's me being whipped over PARK SUNGHOON 24/7 and he's gonna graduate and leave this damn school in two freaking months. And you dare to say that I'm playing around? Waah!" Chaemin ended with her plain expressionless face.

You couldn't help it.

You could swear that she wasn't happy but it felt funny at the same time.

" Mhm... You won't be able to see him every day as usual but you know what? You can find a new boy to fangirl over." you said earning a glare from Chaemin.

"Wonbi... Never mind you won't understand." she sighed and looked down watching her footsteps.

You patted her back

" by the way, I'm heading to a convenience store. " Chaemin broke the silence. "Would you mind coming with me?" she smiled.

"Why not. Imma grab some spicy ramyeon. I haven't seen their faces lately." you replied grinning at the thought of it.

You both headed towards the store nearby.

At Home

You got freshened up and walked to the couch. You threw yourself on the comfy blue couch and stared at the ceiling thinking nothing.

Your phone buzzed making you flinch a bit.

Varbi, Chaemin and you had been playing tic-tac-toe for more than half an hour. Varbi kept rolling her eyes throughout the whole game and Chaemin looks dead thinking about HER crush.

Well... Y'all were zoned out.

"Shall I invite someone to have some chit chat? I'm getting bored." Varbi suggested while standing up.

Chaemin and you exchanged a look.

"Who? Who else do you know? A zombie?" Chaemin questioned still looking at the blank space with a plane emotionless voice.

You started playing with your fingers.

"I bet. Y'all need me?"

"oh, shit! The event." Varbi almost shouted.

Chaemin scoffed while you watched them and smirk.

"and you'll be needing me too." a voice heard from the back.

"But you're in 9th. The teachers announced 10th graders to do it. " Ni-ki protested making a poker face.

You sighed. Meeting new people every day sounds exciting but sometimes it's no how we expect. You did not want to be a part of the event. In other words, you were lazy.

" oh really? You're refusing my offer?" said the 9th grader placing himself on one of the seats beside yours.

"DANIEL. that's not what I meant but-" Ni-ki got cut off.

" Just let him in" you finally spoke and Ni-ki frowned while Daniel is wriggling his eyebrows taunting Ni-ki.

"What?" Ni-ki questioned.

" What 'what'?". Daniel replied without hesitation. Kids nowadays.

Ni-ki gestured 'my eyes are on you' plastering a forced smile on his face making Daniel scoff.

" WTH is wrong with em?" Varbi asked eyeing the boys. "God knows"

You were getting ready to leave school. You packed up and was heading to the exit. A voice from the back made you stop. It's a boy.

"Noona!" you turned back and saw Daniel catching his breath. Wow, he's tall as hell.

"Sunoo hyung wanted you to accompany him and the others" he said still panting. "and? " you asked.

" and Chaemin Noona and Varbi noona's already there" he said. " at XXXX cafe" you nodded and he left with that.

"wow I'm left alone?" you mumbled to yourself.

At the cafe

Your legs hurt so bad. The cafe was quite far than you guessed. You finally arrived after sighing for the 100th time.

You looked around and saw no one except a standing figure. The figure was now getting closer to you. Is the person coming towards you?

" Me?" you thought.

The person stood in front and said.

"Kim Wonbi?"

the person next to you asked with a soft yet mesmerising voice making you feel well.... left out. His bangs were parted, dressed in a blue denim jacket and white shirt, has the most beautiful eyes.

"yeah..." you nodded.

"ah... Sunoo and some of his girlfriends discussed an event i guess. They tried calling you" you remembered that your phone died when you were on your way.

" but it said switched off" he said and you just stared.

" and they waited for you but had to leave early for some reason" the guy next to you continued. Now you were all alone again. The feeling of drowsiness was unexplainable besides that your friends weren't even there.

"Oh! Ok" you managed to utter these words not knowing what to say.

" By the way, I'm Yang Jungwon. Sunoo asked me to stay here to accompany you to way back home' he sounded calm but a lil bored.

And all you did was just a nod.

Wait. Yang Jungwon? The person from yesterday's GC whom I texted? I thought he was a girl...
