What emerged from the jacket was a cute cat, who stared silently at Kazumi. He stared back at it with a glare.

"What are you doing, carrying around that thing? Don't tell me that's the stray cat you mentioned? Is that why you were late? You are supposed to be going through trials today, and that would surely be a hindrance. Do you actually not want to join the organization?"

She pulled the cat closer to her chest.

Nami stared at him, shocked, then at her hand that was intertwined with his, and back at him again. Nami then pulled away abruptly, but Kazumi held onto her tight.

Kazumi looked at him with a bored expression on his face.

His face suddenly looked sullen as he stared at the ground.
Nami seemed shocked and began to panic at his unusual behaviour. She looked flustered.

"N—No! I don't dislike it—no! You just... surprised me."
She stared at the ground in pure embarassment. What in the world was happening?!
