The Final Stage Of Love

The Final Stage of Love[Prologue]

Hello everyone.

Happy reading!

____________

Today is the day when all the gods and angels gather to discuss what has been and is happening on earth. From the birth of new humans to the death of humans, the increase in the number of plants and animals to the decrease in the number of their habitats. The destruction wrought by irresponsible human hands makes the inhabitants of the heavens have to go the extra mile to deal with all the problems on earth.

The god of birth, the god of death, the god of destruction, the goddess of wisdom, the goddess of prosperity, and other gods gathered in a large room that could accommodate thousands of people in it. In the center of the room was a large table that they used to discuss many things that they had to report to the creator to get the right decision from him.

"Where is the god of love?" Asked the creator whose voice could only be heard.

"He has not come." Answer the goddess of wisdom.

"Should I set a time of death for him now?" Asked the god of death with his grim reaper.

"Not yet. Hold yourself back." Answer the god of birth disagree.

"The God of love hasn't reached the final task of being able to reincarnate." Said another god.

"When will he be reincarnated? He is the oldest of all the gods here."

"Soon he will face the final stage which will be borne by all the Gods of love," replied the invisible creator.

"Can we know what it is?" Asked the goddess of prosperity politely.

"You'll find out later." Answer the creator.

"I've been thinking about something a lot lately. Why were we created to be gods?"

Suddenly the door of the room opened to a tall and handsome man who walked casually. The man simply ignored all the annoyed gazes from the other gods and goddesses. He just kept walking and sat on the empty chair that was located between the seat of the God of death and the God of birth. The look on his sour and completely unfriendly face made everyone lose their mood. And to make matters worse, the man was even relaxed and ignorant as if his presence did not disturb the other Gods.

"Soon it will be time for you to face the final stage of your duty as the God of love. Tonight on earth is the time of the last human birth which will help you through the final stages as the God of love but you will have to wait twenty-five years to be able to do your final task."

"Understood, my lord." Answer the God of love politely.

"Hopefully you can take this last step well since your chance of reincarnation is only one time."

"Understood, my lord." Answer the God of love.

At that moment deep under the sky. Right in the western hemisphere of the earth. On the American continent, in Brooklyn, New York. Has been born a beautiful daughter of the Watson couple. The baby girl with red cheeks is the first child of Watson couple who lives a prosperous life in this metropolitan city. The birth of this little girl brought blessings and happiness to the couple who had been married for five years.

Tears of emotion filled the room which had become a silent witness to how they struggled as parents to have a child. They hope that this child entrusted by God to them can bring blessings to many people even though perhaps an unusual destiny will come to her one day. However, they still hope that their children will always be protected from dangerous things because they cannot ensure that they will always be there for their little daughter.

Bright rays emitted from the tiny baby's body and only an invisible being could feel and see the immense energy emanating from it. Creatures with terrifying forms gathered around the room to see the birth of a girl who had the ability to see creatures like them. The creatures hoped that the little girl would help them one day.

"She is very beautiful." Said the little baby's mother.

"She looks a lot like you." Said the girl's father with a big smile.

"We love you very much, dear." Said the girl's mother as she kissed her daughter's soft and smooth cheek.

"I've found the right name for our child." Said the girl's father very excitedly.

"What is her name?" Asked his wife curiously.

"Jessamy Neona Watson. A woman who is beautiful like a jasmine and grows as bright as a full moon." The man replied with a proud smile.

"That's a pretty name. Jess. We'll call you that." Said the mother of the baby girl with a happy smile.

But the tiny baby suddenly burst into tears when the negative energy from the terrifying creature standing outside the room tried to enter the room. Both parents immediately panicked because their child suddenly cried out loud very tight. The mother rocked the tiny baby in such a gentle motion that the little girl stopped crying while her husband tried to help by singing a lullaby.

"She's no ordinary human." Said one of the creatures there.

"She can see us!" Said another creature.

"But we can't bother her because she's protected by something." Said the big-eyed creature with a short body.

"She is destined to make one of the reincarnated gods." Said another creature who has a very long nose.

"How do you know?" Asked all creatures curiously.

"I eavesdropped in the sky." The creature replied with a laugh.

"This child will get the gods into trouble later." Replied the long nosed creature.

"Ah .. you are talking nonsense again." They said in unison.

"Hey ... I'm really serious." Answered the creature with long hides.

The creatures disappeared one by one and in a short time the surroundings of the room became deserted. Slowly the little baby started to stop crying and both parents could breathe with relief because the little baby named Jess was finally able to stop crying. Maybe the little baby wants to tell her parents that there are strange creatures around them. But all she could do was only cry because she couldn't speak yet.

"Don't cry anymore, honey. You must grow up to be a strong and brave girl because we will always be with you in your heart."

The Final Stage of Love[1]

Hello everyone

Happy reading!

____________

25 years later.

"Jess, wake up. Jess!"

The woman named Jess immediately got up and looked at the woman who called her with a surprised look while the woman she was staring at just stood there with a wide grin. It was as if she had done nothing wrong before. Jess growled in annoyance that her dream had to stop halfway through. Last night she thought of her parents who had died twenty-four years ago in an accident. Why did she survive alone?

According to the head of the orphanage who was at the accident site, she told her that at that time she was found in the arms of her dead mother. Thanks to the protection that her mother gave her at that time, she was able to survive and stay alive today in a healthy manner. The story broke Jess's heart because indirectly she was the main reason her mother died, but she believes that her mother did all this so that she could experience life in the world even though she had to live alone without parents.

Jess believes that the life she is living now is a gift that she must live. No matter how hard and how hard she struggles to stay alive, Jess will still try to live this life as best she can. She did not want his parents' hopes and efforts to be in vain.

She really missed her parents. In fact, every day she always dreams of the two of them. Even though they don't have any memories that Jess can remember until now, Jess still misses her parents. There is only one photo taken when she was just born in the hospital and that photo is the only memory she and her parents have that she has.

"Why did you wake me up when lessons weren't over? I told you to wake me up after class!" Jess said with an annoyed face.

"Sleeping while class is going on isn't great, Jess." Said the girl named Tara at the end of her laughter.

"You know that I have a hard time sleeping at night." Jess said, rubbing her face roughly.

"Are those creatures still bothering you?" Tara asked curiously.

"They come to me all the time." Jess answered with a tired looking face.

"Until now?" Tara asked.

"Right behind you." Jess replied as she looked at the long-haired creature that was standing right behind tara.

"Don't scare me!" Said Tara who was getting scared.

"That's not all. There's one ahead of us, one next to the professor and one hovering above." Jess said, pointing to all the places she said.

"Oh my God, that's so bad." Tara said as she followed where her friend was looking.

"But if you see them often, things like this will become something very common for people like you right?" Tara said again.

"Anything that isn't normal can't become something common, Tara. Do you think seeing something creepy is normal and common?" Jess said, looking at Tara.

"Oh my God, you're right." Said Tara agreed.

Jess stared at the creepy creature standing behind Tara. Their eyes met for a moment before the creature tried to attack Tara and herself. Jess grabbed Tara's hand so that Tara's body moved forward until the creature hit the man in front of them. The man's belongings immediately fell under the table and it immediately attracted all the attention of the students and professors in this room.

"Shit! What happened ?!" Tara said in surprise.

"The creature that was standing behind you was trying to annoy you." Jess said, looking at Tara.

"Shit." Tara said in fear.

Their life as students at this college is going very well. Their grades are still good even though things like this happen a lot. Tara looked behind her repeatedly warily and in the end Jess took the initiative to swap their seats so that Tara would stop looking back. Jess repeatedly told Tara that the creepy creature had left but her best friend still didn't believe her and told Jess to keep a watchful eye on their surroundings.

Jess could only laugh when she saw the funny behavior of her friend. Their friendship started when she was first taken to the orphanage after the accident. There she met her new family after her parents left her forever. After she grew up, Jess had a hard time getting along with the other children at the orphanage until a little girl named Tara came up to her and asked her to play together even though Jess always refused the offer.

But Tara, who is stubborn and never gives up, always tries to get close and befriend Jess and in the end they become close friends until now. The head of the orphanage and the caregivers at the orphanage were also relieved that Jess was finally overcoming her nightmare. Although sometimes Jess still cries at night because of fear, at least during the day she can smile and laugh with Tara.

"Are you still working after this?" Asked Tara who was still busy putting books and several sheets of paper into her bag.

"Yes as usual." Jess replied.

"Mom always told you to stop working part time but you never listened to her." Tara said when she was closing her bag tightly.

"I can't depend on her forever. I'm an adult now and have to start earning a living on my own." Said Jess.

"I can understand it too but tomorrow is your 25th birthday and today you are still working like a slave." Tara said as she followed Jess.

"My birthday tomorrow has nothing to do with my job today, Tara." Jess said as she rolled her eyes.

"Even though we've prepared a surprise party for you!" Tara said casually.

"You guys did it again." Jess said as she looked at Tara with a tired look.

"I'm sorry but I have to go now. See you at home, Jess." Tara said very hurriedly.

"Okay then be careful on the road. Watch your footsteps!" Jess said as she looked at Tara who almost fell.

"I'm fine! Don't worry!"

Jess just shook her head with a smile. She decided to keep working at a convenience store not far from their campus. Jess has been doing her job there for two years and she is very grateful to be able to work there and get extra money for her school fees. At least she can reduce the expense of the orphanage that has been home to her for 24 years.

"Good afternoon."

"Good afternoon, Jess."

Jess immediately changed her clothes where the employees put their belongings and replaced other people's shifts who had been working from the morning. She chose this job because only this job could give her more time to study because when she was at home, she would be busy taking care of the orphanage children who had not found a new family that could love them wholeheartedly.

"Welcome to the Star Market." Jess said friendly when a grandmother walked into the minimarket.

"Do you sell cinnamon?" Asked the grandmother to Jess.

"Cinnamon?." Jess asked with a confused face.

"Yes, cinnamon." The old grandmother answered seriously.

"Looks like we don't sell stuff like that." Jess said honestly.

"Then I want to buy salt." Said the grandmother suddenly.

"Okay, wait a minute." Jess said as she stepped her feet onto the grocery shelf.

"After this your life may be very difficult to live." Said the old grandmother suddenly as Jess was busy looking for salt which had somehow disappeared from the shelf.

"Sorry, I don't understand what you mean." Jess answered confusedly.

"I feel sorry because you had to be born with such a sad fate. I hope God will always protect you." Said the grandmother again mysteriously.

"Sorry but I-." Jess said as she looked at the grandmother who had suddenly disappeared from her sight.

Jess stood up in panic and ran to the cashier with a confused look. He looked around in panic. If it's true that grandmother is a ghost but why doesn't she notice the weirdness in that grandmother? All this time she had always been able to distinguish between ghosts and real humans but why this time she couldn't tell the difference between humans and ghosts at all?

"But what was the meaning of what grandmother said earlier?" Jess asked herself with a confused face.

Jess shook her head and then resumed her work until it was finished. After that incident she had no more ghost customers and the ghosts that had been bugging her did not appear around her today either. She felt strange because that creature usually always appeared and bothered her like a normal day. Jess breathed a sigh of relief because it was the first time she was able to work normally without being annoyed again. But behind all this, Jess doesn't know that the fate that will change her life will soon come.

"Thanks for today. Good job." The minimarket manager said proudly.

"Thank you." Jess replied politely.

"This is your salary this month and I have given you a bonus in it because tomorrow is your birthday." The convenience store owner said while tucking the envelope in Jess's hand.

"I hope you can buy food and nice clothes for your birthday tomorrow." Said the man again with a friendly smile.

"Thank you very much." Jess said politely.

"I hope that as you get older, you can have a better life."

The Final Stage of Love[2]

Hello everyone.

______________

Jess had returned to the orphanage after all the work had been done. Tonight, as usual. Jess will always do some homework that she can do. This was despite the fact that the caregivers and the head of the orphanage had repeatedly forbidden Jess from doing housework or caring for the children at the orphanage. But Jess did it anyway.

No one can stop her. She will always do whatever her heart tells her. Jess is an independent and strong woman so she used to do a lot of things on her own without help from other people. Maybe that's what made her unable to get a mate at a relatively mature age even though Tara had introduced her to many men but until now she hasn't found the right man for her.

"Finally my task for today is finished too." Said Jess while lying on the bed.

"You did your best, Jess." Said Tara, who was reading a book on her bed.

"I still haven't done my best for you guys." Jess said, staring at the ceiling in their room.

"Hey ... Come on, don't lower yourself like that. What you have done is very precious to all of us. We are very grateful to have you in our family. You are very valuable more than anything." Tara said, looking at Jess and closing the book she was holding.

"Do you think I can be successful one day?" Jess asked, looking upside down at Tara.

"I'm sure you will be successful someday. You are hardworking and persistent. You are also smart and talented. Besides that your face is also beautiful and your body is also good. Do you have flaws? " Tara answered seriously.

"I have a lot of flaws." Jess replied, closing her eyes.

"At least you are more special than others." Tara said as she rolled to the side.

"Do you mean about my ability to see creatures others can't see?" Jess asked with a laugh.

"Yeah. I mean that's one of them! Isn't that amazing? Not everyone can see things like that, can they?" Tara replied, staring at the ceiling of their room.

"Other people do think this is a gift but for me it is a curse that I want to get rid of." Jess said as she opened her eyes again.

"Why do you take that as a curse?" Tara asked, frowning.

"Just imagine you can see things you shouldn't. Wherever you go, those terrifying creatures will always be seen by you. Doesn't that feel more like a curse than a gift?" Jess answered with a sad look.

"I think there is something special behind that ability you have. I feel that God gave that ability to you because he believes that you can use it well." Tara said.

"Maybe." Jess answered in a low voice.

"Wait a minute. Are there any creepy creatures in our room now?" Tara asked while looking around their room with a careful gaze.

Jess looked seriously at every side and corner of their room and then looked at Tara, who was staring at Jess with a serious gaze. Tara always did this whenever they were going to sleep because she had been bothered by a big black creature that made her unable to sleep peacefully for a week. That's why she always asked Jess to always check their room before going to bed.

"There is no." Jess answered casually and then lay back down on the bed.

"Thankfully." Tara said with relief.

Jess closed her eyes and began to fall asleep. Tara who initially didn't stop talking also slowly began to fall asleep soundly. They both slept soundly and quietly. Looks like today's activity really made their bodies feel very tired. The state of the room was very quiet and all you could hear was the sound of a clock ticking and moving to follow the movements of the sun and earth.

But when the long and short hands of the hour meet and align into a line. The wall clock suddenly stopped moving and ticked exactly 12. That night the wind outside the orphanage blew loudly until their window was wide open. Not only that, the lights in their room also went out and suddenly their room became dark and it felt very creepy.

Jess, who was annoyed, immediately woke up. She was shocked when she saw their room which was completely dark and felt very cold. Jess rubbed her eyes for a moment then lowered her feet to the floor. She stared at their bedroom window which was already wide open. Jess frowned in surprise because she was so sure that she had closed and locked the window this afternoon.

But why are the windows suddenly open now?

"Tara." Called Jess softly.

"Did you open the window?" Jess asked on Tara.

But Tara was silent and did not answer her question. Jess narrowed her eyes to see Tara's bed. She wanted to make sure if Tara was on top of her bed or not but because the lighting was so minimal it made her difficult to see clearly. Jess stood up and walked over to Tara's bed while scratching her head which felt a little itchy.

"Is she still sleeping?"

But when she got there, Tara's bed was empty. There is no Tara on it. There are only messy pillows and blankets on it. Jess immediately widened her eyes in surprise and then looked around her with a wary gaze. If it was because of the creepy creatures she saw often, why couldn't she feel their presence at all?

"Are you looking for your friend?" Asked someone who suddenly appeared in the dark but Jess still couldn't see him because the room was too dark.

"Who are you?." Jess asked, looking at the man with a wary gaze.

"You don't need to know who I am." The man answered in a deep, deep voice.

"Why are you here?" Jess asked warily.

"I can be anywhere I want." The man replied arrogantly.

Jess tried to see the man clearly. Even though the room was dark, Jess could still see the man's body and half of his pale white face. The man was wearing a formal dress that didn't seem to be sold anywhere. The man's suit is black with several gold trimmings on it. The man's body was tall and manly. Her legs were also long and nice but Jess couldn't see the man's hands as he was wearing gloves that matched with his suit and pants.

When viewed from the appearance and shape of the man's body. Jess was sure that this guy must have a very handsome face. But Jess still feels confused about that creature because until now she has not been able to feel whether the man is from a ghost or another class of other creatures that she has never met before. Judging from the man's appearance, Jess was sure that this man was not from the ordinary class.

"Jessamy Neona Watson." The man said firmly.

"How do you know my name?!" Jess said in surprise.

"So it really is you. I finally found you." Said the man as he folded his hands in front of his chest.

"You haven't answered my question! How do you know my name?!" Jess said, pointing at the man with her index finger.

"It's past midnight now and that means you're twenty-five years old now." Said the man as he looked at the numbers printed on the wall clock.

"How do you know my age?! How do you know?!" Asked Jess who was starting to feel scared.

"All right, Jessammy. We'll see each other later and I hope you don't bother me like the other humans. See you." The man said then disappeared into the darkness.

"Wait! You can't go yet! You haven't answered my question at all!" Jess said as she stepped forward.

The sound of the door opening and closing was heard by Jess and suddenly the lights came back on and the wind coming into their room stopped. Jess gave Tara a surprised look. She didn't know what creature the man was and what the man's face was like. Her sense of ignorance made her feel very curious about that man earlier. It was the first time she had seen and spoken to such a man-like creature and for the first time also she didn't feel afraid to stare at a ghost or anything.

"Jess? Why are you panicking?" Said Tara who was confused by Jess's behavior.

Jess ran and nervously opened the door of their room. She looked right and left, hoping that she would meet that creature again. Tara who felt confused kept calling and following Jess in panic but Jess just ignored Tara and went back into the room to check if the man was outside through the window but what Jess had hoped was immediately lost when she did not find what she expected.

Because that man has disappeared.
