"Number 478", the guild master had called me up to become an adventurer.I was very excited to become an adventurer with Conner. "Name?". "Mathew Nermon" "specialty?" "Magic". "Welcome to Javic adventures guild. Have fun." It was over and I was an official Adventurer. "Number 479". It was Conner's turn. Only thing left after he becomes an adventurer. Getting our equipment.

30 seconds past and it was over. Conner had become an adventurer. "let's go Conner." I said in a hurry as I grabbed his arm. "Alright, alright. I'm coming." I remember a time when we were younger. He had always been like this. Just agreeing to everything I had said. That big dummy. I wish he would just act on his own account not mine. "Where are we going?" I hadn't thought about that yet. "I guess the equipment shop a town over." "Sounds great." That town was 15 miles away from here but at least I could transform and allow Conner to ride me. It would be better than walking the entire distance.

About 30 minutes had passed and we were there. It was draining to try to go all that distance without stopping for a drink. "How are ya doing? I mean you did run 15 miles without stopping."Conner said out of concern. "I'm fine Conner" I thought he would possibly went to find the nearest healer if I had slept any longer in this form. I don't look all that great in this form so I can see why. I transformed back to my mage body.

" Anyway let's go to the shop." " yeah, let's". Conner grabbed my hand and I blushed out of excitement. As we walked there humans had shown up. They were speaking a language I couldn't understand, but Conner spoke it fluently. "What are they saying?" I said panicky.

"Do you know where the guild here is? I think."

"Tell them to take a right a left and another left

then down the street and it should be at the end." We, soon after that, headed to get the equipment. I decided to get a magic weapon that transforms into quite a few other weapons along with a wand and 100 small magic stones to aid me in my practice. Conner got 1 regular sword and ordered a special weapon.

We then headed to the guild. I told Conner to choose the mission. He skimmed through them and grabbed a rather big rewarded one.

"We have to kill 5 roaming shapeshifters." I was fine with this of course except the part about shapeshifters. We don't know what form they'll take. We just walked for hours in those woods. "This will take foreveeeeeer" Thinking about this is hard enough. Why do we need to put so much of an effort into something that wont last long. Well we have to continue. I mean at least it pays well. Forever. Forever. It was the estimate of how long it would take us.

What a bummer. Wow.

CRACK! A branch about fifty feet away had been broken. It was running tword Conner. "Conner!" I said in a panic while I quickly transformed and pushed him out of the way. I was grabbed by what I assumed was one of those shapeshifters. This was the moment I found out what Conner was. A vampire. My dad's biggest enemy. "I WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE MY FRIEND AWAY" Somehow the fact that he called me a friend made my heart ache. What is this feeling.

I don't know when it happened but Conner had taken that creature's life. Why is he doing this for me. I am not worthy of his kindness.

"Why, why, why do this for me." "Because you're my best friend, I wouldn't let anything take you away." It's that ache in my heart again. What is it? Why is it here? What did I do to deserve him. Conner picked me up and found a small clearing to set up camp. I was unable to move my body from the neck down. "Use a magic stone. That dark red and blue one should make a shelter." " How do I use it?" " Place it in the spot you want to build a shelter on than focus really hard on what it looks like" I had fallen asleep before the magic had taken affect.

"Morning Mathew. How are you" At this point in time I was able to move my body. "Good, but how long did I sleep?" " Just about 14 hours." Did I really sleep that long. We have to get going though I would like to stay curled up to Conner longer. Why do I feel like this. We're both men.

Conner's pov: Why does Mathew looks so cute like this. His big fluffy ears. Ocean Eyes. White hair and white tail though in human form. "Can we stay like this a little longer. Mathew?" "Sure".

Back to Mathew: I blushed as I figured out what this feeling was. It was love. I was in love with my best friend. My first love was a boy.

"Hey Conner?" "Ya" "How do you feel about me?" Conner blushed as he answered with " I don't know what this feeling is. It's just I feel something when I'm with you." "I have the same feeling. It's love or at least that's what I think" He paused for a moment. "Love? That's unusual. The only feeling of love I've ever gotten was for girls." As Conner said this my heart ached as a tear fell down my face. Why must he be like this. I slapped him right upside his beautiful face.

I grabbed my things and ran out in a fit of rage. Idiot. Why would he do that? We are so close. Yet he still turned me down. A rumble in the brush made me transform, but as soon as I saw Conner, I was back. What was he thinking. Moments later, he kissed me.

Why would he do that to me. He might know what I think about him. Why would someone of his status sleep with me then turn me down.

I looked at him and slapped him right upside his beautiful face and ran off. Whatever I do I'm not going back to him. The only thing I have is my bag of needs and a photo of Conner. Why did I keep it. My heart ached again as to tell me to go back.

I'm in a war between my mind and heart. I dont know which side to choose. before I could make up my mind, Conner showed his stupid self right back to me. I wish this feeling would just go away!

"Why did you run out of the shelter. It's dangerous without me at you're side." "I can handle myself Conner. I'm not a child." "I'm not either." Conner pulled my face into his and kissed me. "Conner, I thought you didn't like boy and that it wasn't possib... " Conner stopped me and kissed me again. This time it silenced me. "I've realized my mistake. I'm sorry." "No need to be. I won't forgive you." I looked away from him. CRACK! Conner picked me up and used my teleport crystal. "Where are you taking me?" "sh it's back and it's angry"

We were there in an instant but draining. using magic really takes a toll on your body.

"You okay Mathew?" I looked toward him angrily and said,"I'm fine, you can leave me alone now" " Like hell I'd do that. You can't transform quick enough to save your own ass." I thought for a second. He's right. I answer him with,"This is why I love you." Conner blushed as I kissed him. He always looks like he doesn't like it when he kisses me. "What's wrong? You look like you don't want this. I'm throwing myself at you." Conner looked at me and told me" I wouldn't let you kiss me If I didn't want it" That made me smile. He smiled back. That is the first time he's given me a genuine smile.

"Anyway" I said as I got up. "Let's find an inn." Conner shook his head and we walked off. We decided to stay at an inn that cost 57 cintes a night. The problem was it only had one bed. I sleep in my wolf form not my WolfMage body. I thought this would be a problem, but Conner didn't mind it at all. "I love you Conner" "I love you too Mathew". We sat in silence as wel awaited a long needed rest. We slept for hours not moving an inch from our position. I love Conner and he loves me back, but it is forbidden for 2 males to love each other. Or maybe not.

Time had passed and soon it was morning. I had woke up with only boxers on. What happened last night? What did we do?
