Chapter 1

“It’s a beautiful morning today,” said Susan as she walked into Lily’s room. She opens up the curtain and a ray of sunlight fills the room “ Rise and shine Lily.” Lily sits up in her bed blocking her eye from the sun and asks what time it was. Susan replied, “ the time is seven o'clock, your dad is off to work, your mother went shopping with her friends, and Breakfast is served downstairs.”

“Sounds like a Monday to me,” said Lily as she gets off her bed and goes into the bathroom. With a toothbrush in her mouth, she said “ isn’t tonight the rich man's party.”

“ Yes it is, and also you have a meeting today by ten o'clock today at work,” said Susan as she dresses Lily’s Bed.

A few minutes later Lily comes out from the bathroom tying her towel, she sits at her dressing table as another maid comes in. The maid picks up a hairbrush from the dressing table and begins to brush Lily’s black hair. Lily tells the maid “ thank you but I can do it myself.” She takes the brush from the maid and starts to brush her hair.

Susan walks into Lily’s closet and comes out with two options of clothes, “ this or this” Susan said as she lifts the clothes for Lily to see. Lily said, “ I will wear that one.” she points to one of the clothes Susan was holding.

{ a few more minutes later}

Lily went downstairs to the dining table where her breakfast had been served, she took one scone and headed for the front door.

{at the company}

As Lily entered the company a lady, average-sized, blond curly hair and glasses stood in front of her and with her sweet voice said “hi miss blues I am your new assistant...” Lily cleared her throat and said “ listen…” lily looks at the lady's tag “ listen, Wendy don’t you call me ms. Blues again. It makes it sound like I married my father. Think about it, if my father is Called Mr. blues in his other company and I am called Ms.blues here, it would give out the wrong idea, like Mr. and Ms. blues. Do you get where I am going with this?”

“ Yes, Ms. blu… I mean Ms. lily” said Wendy.

“ I could tell you are going to be a problem,” said Lily to Wendy.

{at the meeting room}

Lily walks into the meeting room where employees had been seated. “ any status report for the month.”

One of the employees passes the file to Lily. “ Here are all the status reports from the other branches.” the employee said, looking so nervous. Lily goes through the file. “ What, how can we be losing money at this rate, and this has been going on for what?” Lily looks at the file again. “ years, this has been going on for years. I asked for a status report on all the branches every month. And all results came back good.” Lily rubs her forehead slowly and asks calmly, “how does this affect our revenue.” one of the employees speaks up and says. “it affects it by 10%.” “ and you guys kept this away from me for months.” Lily said. “ Actually when we ask for the status report from some of the branches around the world, they just ignore us…” said one of the employees as the rest nodded their heads in agreement. “ If it was my father, would you tell him that nonsense?” “ Listen, Tanya, I want you to tell the managers of those branches that I am giving them until the end of the month to send me their status reports, or else they will all lose their jobs.” Tanya in the agreement says “ yes Ms.Lily, I will do it as soon as the meeting is over.”. “ and don’t forget to schedule a meeting with the manager of the branch that is losing money, Wendy, the branch is in Manchester, London right.” Wendy and Tanya nodded in agreement. Lily writes it down on a sticky note and sticks it on top of the file. She gives the file to Wendy and says “ so you won’t forget.”

“Anything else.” everybody in the meeting room said “no”

“ Well, in that case, yesterday was my birthday, and there is no way I would have forgotten about you guys, there is a huge cake in the car for you guys, and when sharing the cake don’t forget the janitor again. Please.”

All the employees then walk out of the meeting room.

“ at the lunchroom in the company.”

One of the employees, named Elizabeth, says, “ I mean she is trying her best, she is just 20 years old and she started at sixteen.” Wendy joins the conversation and says “ who are we talking about.” Elizabeth says “ Lily.”

Wendy gasps in disbelief “ she is that young, I feel bad for her that other managers are ignoring her orders because she is young and a female, so sexist of them.”

{in lily’s office}

Lily crossed her legs on top of the table, groaning from tiredness. The phone rings. “Oh, who could that be.” Lily picks up the phone.

Lily: “ hello who is this.

James: “ It's me, James.”

Lily: “You mean, my high school ex-boyfriend James.” Lily said in surprise

James: “ technically, we did not break up, you just went away and never called back.”

“ If you don’t call that a breakup, what would you call it if your father grabs your arm tight and says,” ‘I don't want you to see you with that boy again.’ and then makes you homeschooled for the rest of your life and rushes your education.”

James: “ I call that forbidden love. But wait, you said he rushed your education, that means you're done with college, I am just getting started.”

Lily: “ I miss you, James.”

James: “I miss you too”

The timer in Lily’s office rings.

Lily: “ Talk to you later, bye James” she then hangs up the phone and smiles.

{ outside the Blues company}

Lily comes out of the company waiting for the driver when all of a sudden she gets this huge rush of headache. She holds her forehead in pain and closes her eyes, she could see a vivid vision of a firefighter engulfed by flames, then she could see an address 1433 lake street. The headache then stops, her eyes flickered blue for a moment. She could hear somebody say get her some water, she might be having a migraine. Lily stood there so confused about why she had that vision then the driver came and she entered the car.

{ at the blues manor.}

Lily walks in through the front door, Susan stops the vacuum and rushes to Lily “ hey, Lily how was your day. I saw on the news what happened at work. The headline says ‘the young daughter of Wilson blues having a breakdown from all the stress, is it because she is too young.’ Tell me the truth, are you okay?” Lily walks to the kitchen fridge and grabs a bottle of water. “ I am fine, all I needed was water,'' Lily said.

“ Well, something tragic happened today,” said Susan. “ What happened.” said Lily as she sat down on the island in the kitchen, interested in what Susan had to say. “ a firefighter died today while saving a house from burning on Lake street.” Lily sat there frozen. She asked, “what is the exact address?”

“Umm, I think it was 1433 Lake street.” Lily's eyes widened in shock.

Susan asked, “ why what happened, you know someone there ?” Lily said “ oh, it's nothing I just wanted to know. I will be going upstairs to my room now.” “ don’t forget today is the rich man's party, get your speech and song ready, it's in five hours,” said Susan. “ I wouldn't,” said Lily as she went upstairs.

Susan said to herself. “ I wish I could multitask like she does.” looking at the vacuum cleaner, and the decorations she has to place for the party and then sighs.

A few minutes later Susan knocks at Lily’s room there, Lily “asks her to come in. Susan walks into the room and sees Lily lying on the bed and reading a book “ so how are your speech and song turning out” Susan asks

“ I am already done.” says Lily as she points at the table across from her bed

“Wow, that was quick. Well I will leave you for now to enjoy your book.” Susan said. As Susan left the headache came back again, Lily’s eyes glowed blue and she had another vivid vision. They were masked men robbing a bank, she could hear the alarm sound so clear as if she was there. Everything finally stops, lily then mutters to herself, “ what’s happening to me.”

{ a few hours later}

Lily was downstairs greeting the guests as they came in, “ oh it’s you you came.” Lily said in a sarcastic way to one of the guests.

“ Now Lily, there is no way to greet your future husband.” Josh said “ you must be crazy then, now move out of the way i have other guests to greet.”

A few minutes later Lily started the speech. “ today we gather here to celebrate the rich man's party, which helps us remember how we survived the difficult time where rich people like us where, kidnapped, murder and stolen from after all the hardwork we had gone through to be as rich as we are…” the speech went on for a few more minutes and when she ended everybody cheered and they was a toast.

Lily’s father walked up to her and said “you did a good job with the speech.”

Lily smiled and said “ did you have any doubts. Now if you would excuse me, I have a song to perform.”

Lily took a deep breath and then said, “This is for anybody out there who got rewarded for their hard work, and lazy people are trying to take it from them.”

She starts singing and closes her eyes as she is into the moment, the headache came back again but the pain was stronger. She had a vision of a woman that said ‘ come Lily, come to me and I shall help you.” She then passed out, her mother rushed to her side and yelled for someone to call 911.

Lily slowly opened her eyes only to realize she was at the hospital. The nurse said, “ Doctor, she is awake.”

The doctor said “ hi there Lily, i am doctor mark and I know you are probably wondering what happened, you faint from all the results i have gotten you are perfectly fine. And also if you're looking for your parents your mother is downstairs right now and your father had to go back to work.” “So what's wrong with me?” Lily asked.

The doctor sighs, “ It is probably stress or tiredness.” The doctor took off his glasses and said, “ Lily, you're famous around this city for starting from a young age to run a company,and also because your company builds most of the best houses here in crystal city. All I am saying is that I thinkl you should take a break” the doctor said and then left. Three nurses, a boy and two girls with scrub caps came in and were whispering to each other. “ The boy said I think she is the one that Anna sent us to get.” One of the girls then said, “ Walt,are you sure she is the right person? We wouldn't want to get the wrong girl again.” Walt rolls his eyes and says “ I am sure, I think, she matches the description.” “Umm, excuse me nurses, is there a problem.” Lily said, confused. One of the female nurses, who was about 20-25 years old with hair sticking out of her scrub cap, walked up to Lily and said “ there is nothing to worry about.” She then chanted a spell and Lily soon fell asleep. Walt then said “ did you have to do that Gina ? ” “ Well I did, now open the portal Brina.” Brina’s eyes glowed purple and a portal opened. Walt carried her inside and Gina and Brina followed after.

A few minutes later the doctor came to discharge lily when he found out she was missing. He called the security to search around the building, and Lily's mother asked “ what’s going on.” The doctor replied “ we have reason to believe that your daughter is missing.

{at Blues architecture}

Lily walks into the company building, and everybody yells “ happy birthday”

Lily looks surprised “ is today my birthday. Wendy”

Wendy pushes herself through the crowd of people that gathered to say happy birthday. “ Yes Mrs. Blues” Lily gave her a stern look and Wendy said “ I meant Miss Lily.”

“You know Wendy, I have a feeling you want to be demoted from assistant to a janitor.” said Lily

“ I am sorry ms.bl..Lily, ms. Lily”

“ So what date is it today Wendy.” asked Lily

“Um..” Wendy checks the phone “ it is october 9th”

“Okay,I didn't even know today was my birthday, I will be heading to my office now and tell the workers down the hall to be quiet, they are too loud.”

{ 2 hours later}

Wendy knocks at Lily’s office door.

“ Come in.”

Wendy comes in with a flower and a gift bag. “ Someone dropped this for you at the front office.”

“ blue lilies, there is only one person i know in the world that would get this for me.”

Wendy then said “ is it from a boyfriend, or a secret admirer.”

“ wendy, you are still here, get out of my office.” said Lily

“ Yes, maam.” said Wendy as she left the office.

Lily smiles and says “what am I going to do with that girl.”

She then Looks at the tag on the flower that says “ to my beautiful Lily from james.” She looked into the gift bag and saw a carton of orange juice. She picks up her phone and dials a number.

“ Hello, James, I saw your Little present and I love it. I didn’t know you had still remembered me it’s been a year since we last texted in secrete”

[james] “ i wish i could have gotten something more better than that”

[Lily] “ don’t say that you know how orange is important to me, i haven’t had one in years, my parents banned me from taking one because of my addiction to it.”

[James] “ Well, do you like the flower, I got you.”

[Lily] “ it is just like when we were in high school.”

[james] “ i still can't believe you have my number, after all the years”

[Lily] “ I saved it as a yoga lady, because my father is snoopy and he doesn't like us together.

[James] “ Seriously, Yoga Lady.”

Wendy knocks at the door.

[Lily] “ I have to go bye.”

“ come in wendy”

“Ms.Lily, remember when you scheduled a meeting with the manager of the branch office in the Uk.” said wendy

“Yes wendy i remember that was just yesterday.”

“Well, he refused the meeting date, he said he would rather come today and get it over with.” said wendy

“ Okay fine by me, but what time is he going to be here?”

“Ms.Lily, he is already here, he is waiting for you in the meeting room. With the board of directors”

Lily sighs

“ Okay, tell them I will be there”.

{The meeting room}

Lily enters the Meeting room, where the board of directors and the manager of the Branch in the Uk were.

“ so, I hope you enjoyed your flight from the Uk.” said lily

“ I enjoyed it, thank you.”

“ Oh and what’s your name?” Lily asked

“ My name is George.”

“ so, George, we received a report about our Branch in the UK.”

“ What reports? we have been doing amazing work since the branch opened.” said george

Lily passes a file to George.

“ In the past 2 years a total of 15 buildings have been reported to be unstable and have weak foundations.” said lily

“ I have never heard such reports before, it must have been a mistake.” george says

“ No it's not a mistake, reports come to us first, because they don’t want you guys covering it up, and I checked the reviews from your branch’s app, and it’s all about you workers not being nice.”

“ I am sorry I never knew this happened, i will correct it and find out which building group is responsible for this and I will fire them.” said george

“ I was thinking we should shut down that branch until we fix all the damages caused, which is going to cost a lot of money, once we are done we rehire some better skilled architects to run that area.”

The board all talk among each other one of them said, “ that is a very good idea”

“ But people would lose their jobs, people with families who need the job.”

“ I am sorry but I had to make this choice, if you want you could come work with me here, but other than that, there is nothing I can do.”

George then stands up and says “ i would like to work with you, i will meet you tomorrow by 8:00” then he walks out of the meeting room.

One of the board members then said, “ have you dealt with the problem about the breached contract.”

“ i think the breach in the contract, is a fake i asked mr william yesterday, he said there was no breach in the contract and he doesn’t know anything about a merger, but the only person who knew about it was that human-pig of his son Josh.” said Lily

A board of directors member said, “ but if he faked the breach in the contract, isn’t that a crime because it kind of is like forgery. And he gets sued and pays a fine.”

“ I am counting on it. But we have to find evidence to prove it ” said Lily

{ at the manor}

Lily walks into the manor, the lights are off, she then turns it on and everybody jumps out of their hiding places and says surprise. Lily startled and said “ wow you guys gave me a heart attack.”

Lily’s father then said “ happy birthday my lovely daughter. Your mother and I know you haven't had your favourite drink in a long time. So we got you a jug of orange juice, and we bought you your own car.”

“Oh my God, thank you so much, and for the orange juice umm, i love it.” said Lily.

Susan came close to Lily and said softly “ I know you've had some orange juice already, if not you would have chugged down this jug of orange juice at first sight.”

Lily replies “ this secret is between me and you.”

Then the front door flung open and a woman came in and yelled “ where is my birthday girl.”

“ Aunt Agnes, oh my god.”

Agnes goes and gives Lily a hug “ oh my baby girl has grown so big, i hardly recognise you.”

“ Come on Jane, don’t be shy. It’s your cousin Lily” said Agnes.

Jane comes in through the door carrying a bunch of luggage.

“Susan go help the poor girl carry her luggage.” said Lily

Susan carries the luggage. Lily and Jane both look at each other seriously

[jane] “lily”

[Lily] “Jane”

They soon burst into laughter and hugged each other.

“ Happy birthday Lily. So where is the party at.” said jane

“There is no party, i didn’t want a party this year.” said lily

“ So then where is the cake?” said jane

“ Mom, where is the cake?” said Lily

Lily’s mother said “ I thought your father got it.”

Lily turned to her father. “ Dad, I suppose you have the cake.”

“Sorry Lily, I thought your mother got them. But hey you turned 20 today, be excited your mother and i will get you the perfect cake tomorrow ” Lily’s father said.

“ Come on Jane, let me show you to your room.”

{2 hours later, in Lily’s room}

As Lily was sleeping she kept on tossing and turning, she then opened her eyes and sat up on her bed. Her eyes glowed blue and the lights in her room flickered and soon all the power in the crystal city went out.

{the manor. 8:00 am}

At the dining table after the maids had set the food on the table Lily said“ dad, the power is out in the entire city and it is not good for business”

Jane said “ how about we go out just the both of us and you can show me around until the power is back on.”

“ That would be a good idea.” Agnes said.

Lily said “ I will be glad to show you around but....”

“Lily, how about that restaurant downtown, that is a good place to start.” said Lily’s father

“ Just so you know, you owe me cake dad. Come on Jane, we have places to go” Lily said.

{ in the car, in front of the restaurant}

“This place is crowded” said jane

“ I know, I think it’s because it’s the only restaurant that is open around this area since the power went out.”

{half and hour later

Lily and Jane entered the restaurant, it was full of people.

“ Oh my God, how many people are here and look at that line.”

Said Jane looking around the area.

“Let’s go, we will come back tomorrow.” said Lily.

“No!, I mean no.”

And old lady comes out of the restaurant kitchen “jane”

“ Do you know her?” lily asked

“She is friends with my mother.” Jane said.

“ What can I get for you?” the old lady asked

“ umm…” said Lily as she was thinking”

“ We would have specially spiced food,” said jane.

The old lady and Lily looked at each other confused.

Jane clears her throat and says softly “ for the SW’s.”

The old lady says “oh” in remembrance and walks into the kitchen and brings out a bag of food and gives it to Lily.

“ How much does it cost?” said Lily as she opened her purse.

The old lady holds Lily’s hands and says “ it’s free.”

“Okay.”

As Lily and Jane were walking out the door. A man standing in line started to yell “ how come she gets her food first? I have been waiting in line for hours.”

“ you can have my food, if you want.” said Lily

The old lady said “ no, take your food and go, I will handle them.” practically pushing Lily out of the restaurant.

“ That was weird, right?” she asked Jane as she entered the car.

Jane replied in a shrug.

{ the Blues manor.}

“ Dad.” Lily called out.

“Yes, Lily.” her father said

“ Well, I couldn't eat over there, so I brought the food here. And i got an alert on my phone, the power is about to get back on in 15 minutes, i will be heading to the company to check how things were going there. And i also wanted to ask, at the restaurant, they turned on their back up generator, why didn’t we turn on ours.” said Lily.

“We tried turning ours and both the company’s on but none of the Generators in the city are working. Weird how that restaurant’s own still works.” said lily’s father

“ Well I don’t care what happens, don’t touch my food till I get back, if you do, I will...”

{the power comes on}

“Well that was fast, is it even up to 15 minutes yet. But just so you know, I wouldn't touch your food go be free to work.” said Lily’s father

As soon as Lily walks through the front door, he opens the food “ well this looks tasty.” he carries a spoon and takes a scoop. Lily’s mother walks up behind him and says “ look at William stealing his own daughter's food.”

“ It's just a little bit Gloria, you can take a little bit if you want to.”

William feeds Gloria and Gloria feeds William back.

{ Jane's room.}

Jane throws the food she got from the restaurant in the trash can.

“ has Lily eating the food yet.” said Agnes

“ I don't know mother, if you really wanted Lily dead so bad then do everything yourself.” said jane

“ Shh, be quiet. That kid gets everything, she inherits everything, but what do you and I get probably nothing or just something very small.” said Agnes.

“ Well, she is their daughter.” said Jane

Agnes scoffs and says “ are you really sure.”

Then they both hear a scream. They rushed to go check what it was.

“ Now we know if Lily ate her food or not .” Agnes tells jane softly

Jane whispers “ well don’t just stand there have remorse for him, he's your brother, before someone figures out something suspicious is going on here.”

“ oh, my God, William, what happened to him? Someone call the cops.”

She bursts into fake tears as she kneels down by Williams' dead body. She then turns and looks at Jane and winks. Jane just rolls her eyes.

{ at the Blues Architect}

Wendy and a man walks into Lily’s office. “ Wendy, don’t you knock.”

“ I am sorry but this is Agent Wilson from a top secret organisation and his my brother, in emerald city,” said wendy

“Our building kind of got destroyed and we're thinking of building a new one, I heard you are the best, I mean your company is the best.” said wilson.

“ Do you have a description of the building?” said lily.

He brings out a file and says “ here it is.”

Lily looks at it. “ Okay I will have my designers draw it up and come back maybe next week to check if it is okay with what you want.”

Wendy and William leave the office, then Lily’s phone rings.

She picks it up.

[ Lily] “ hey susan, i am at work can’t talk.”

[susan] “ this is an emergency come home quick.’

[Lily] “ no, because anytime any of you call and says it’s an emergency it is just something stupid, last time dad needed me to teach him how to salsa dance, and also mom needed me to help her pick out the perfect wine for a party. And then just a few days later you asked me to come help you pick out a dress for your date.”

[susan] “ you salsa dance.”

Lily hangs up the phone. After a few moment susan calls her again

[susan] “ lily this is a real emergency”

[Lily] “ well what is it, and if it is something stupid i promise i will…”

[Susan] “ Lily, your parents are dead!”

[Lily] “ what?That is not funny. I don't have time for expensive jokes.” she says in a shuttering because she is not sure if it is real or not.

[susan] “ this is not a joke, you know i don’t joke, just get here and see for yourself. I have to hang up. I am about to be questioned by the cops.

Lily sat on her chair frozen not knowing what to do. Her phone chimes. A text from Jane saying “ come here quickly it's an emergency.” Lily then gets up from her chair and bolts out the door. She runs into Wendy. “ Wendy asks, “ ms. lily why are you running?”

“Wendy, there has been an emergency, and I have to go home. Could you finish up the paperwork for me.” Lily says hurriedly.

[ the blues manor]

Lily pushes the front door open. She sees a detective and a forensic examiner. The detective walks up to Lily and he says “ where were you in the past few hours.”

Lily replied “ I left work as soon as I got an alert that power was going to be back on, I had to rush to work.” with a teary voice as susan patted her back to comfort her. “ I can't believe they are gone.”

The forensic examiner walks up to the detective and says “ there is no sign of injury on the victim's body but I did notice their pupils were dilated, and there was excessive sweating on the body. My only conclusion for this is poisoning. I am not sure but that's the only thing I could tell.”

The detective said “ thank you Linda for the information.” Then he turned to Lily and said, “ Did you and your parents have the same breakfast this morning?” Lily wiped the tears off her eye and replied “ yes we did have the same breakfast, the power was out so we just had fruits and cheese no big deal.”

The detective asked, “ Is there anything else they ate.”

“ I am not really sure what they ate…” Lily then turned to the spot where her parents lay dead and saw the plate of food that she got from the weird restaurants. Lily walks up to it and picks up the plate saying. “ I thought I asked them not to eat this.” the detective moves close to lily and asks “ what do you mean you asked them not to eat this.” Lily said. “ This was the lunch I was supposed to eat, but I had work to do and before I left I specifically told them no to eat the food because it was mine.”

The detective held his hands to his chin thinking. “ What if the poison was meant for you, but your parents happened to have eaten it? Tell me where the restaurant is so I can get some answers. Linda could you examine the food and check if there is anything suspicious” Lily said'' I am coming with you I need to find who tried to kill me.” the detective said “ okay, but i am driving.”

[ at the restaurant]

Lily and the detective both enter the restaurant but to their surprise, it is now a party club. The detective pulled someone to the side and asked “ isn’t this a restaurant.” the person then says “ it is, tonight is just club night.” Lily then turns to look at a door. She then taps the detective. “ You see that door that is guarded by those two guards. I saw the old lady that runs the restaurant come out of there, maybe she is there now and can answer some questions.” The detective says “ that is a good idea but if we take out the girls, it will start chaos, which gives whoever is in charge time to escape.” the detective’s phone rings.

[detective] “ hello linda”

[Linda] “ this is so weird.”

[detective] “ What is so weird?”

[ Linda] “ So get this, I examined the food you gave me looks delicious but it has a substance that i had never seen before. It is like it doesn’t exist, and it is highly poisonous. I tested it on Emmy the rat and she died within seconds with no symptoms. Rest in peace Emmy.”

[ detective] “Okay great news, we are about to catch the suspect.”

The detective then tells Lily about what Linda found about the food. Lily sadly sighs. “ detective says “ we will need a distraction to keep all these people from starting chaos.”

“ distraction you say.” Lily takes off her jacket and says “ hold my jacket.” she walks up to the DJ and whispers into his ears, he gives her a headset. Then she goes up to the stage and yells “ hello everybody do you want to party.” Everybody in the club cheers.” Lily grabs a pole on the stage and whispers to herself “ I can't believe I am doing this. But it is to find my parents' killer” a beet then starts up she then starts to sing and dance around the pole.” The crowd cheers, everybody dancing. The detective then goes to the door protected by two cops “ can you move out of the door, he shows his police badge. One of the guards points his gun at the detective. The detective then knocks him out with his punch. The other guard then grabs the detective and starts choking him. Lily in the middle of her dancing and singing sees the detective being choked , her heart beats fast then her eyes glows blue and a chair comes flying out of nowhere and knocks out the remaining guard. Lily pauses her singing and dancing, then the detective makes a sign telling her to continue. She then resumes and the crowd gets louder.

The detective goes through the door holding his gun and says “ this is the police'' as he points a gun at the old lady. The old lady then tosses her walking cane and then she slowly starts to walk close to the detective, she grabs his face and mutters an incantation and She then disappears. Lily comes into the room where the detective was and she sees him cuddling himself on the floor looking scared and rocking himself saying “ monsters are everywhere, they are everywhere they are out to get me”. Lily says “ okay'' in confusion then goes to comfort as she hugs him, her eyes glows blue. The detective says to himself “ I feel safe all of a sudden.”

Lily said “ what happened back there”

The detective says “ honestly i don’t remember, but all i can remember is i was seeing all things i was afraid of, monsters, insecurities. Until you came in.” he then noticed that Lily was not listening anymore. He asked what was the problem. Lily said “ my parents just died, other people would lock themself in the room grieving and mourning their parents death, and I am here singing and dancing on a pole, I feel like a bad person.”

The detective said “ You're not a bad person, you're just different from other people. By the way, you're an amazing singer.”

“I always wanted to be a singer, to sing to the world someday,”Lily said.

“ Let me guess your parents disagreed.” the detective said.

“no,they were totally fine with it… it’s just that I saw how my dad looked when he found out no one would take over the company, so I decided to cheer him up by throwing away my dreams to become a singer.” lily said

“ I think we're at your manor.” said the detective

Lily comes out of the car before closing the car door. She told the detective “ don’t go looking into my parents' case anymore, after what happened to you today I am pretty sure you should just close the case, I am not worth that much trouble.”

The detective said “ fine I will think about it.” Lily and the detective both smile at each other and then Lily closes his car door. The detective drives into the night.

Lily stands in front of the manor's front door, she takes a deep breath and opens the door she was in shock of what she saw. Susan said “ Lily I am sorry it was Agnes’s idea.”
