"Emily,wake up honey and Happy birthday",I woke up quickly and sat on my bed

"GOOD morning mom and thanks " I gave a kiss on her cheeks

"well mommy what time is it" I asked as I slipped my feet in my slippers

"well dear it's 7:45" she said

It took me some time to process that . our pack starts training at 8o'clock and being an alpha's daughter I had to be there everyday.

"momm... why didn't you wake me earlier? I will be late for the training.."

"Honey it's your birthday and u are not going anywhere.. I already told your father about this and he also agreed about it"

"mom I really need to go even if it's my birthday. I need to get ready"

"U can skip training once ok?"

"Mom u know I won't listen to u and there's no point of arguing with me.I am going and that's final."

"uhh.. dear fine fine .....but u will listen to me for the rest of the day"

"okk...promise"saying I ran toward the bathroom.

AFTER bath I wrapped myself with a towel and ran towards the wardrobe almost filled with black clothes.

I wore a gray bra black tank top and black leggings and ran towards the training ground as soon as possible

As the time I reached the ground the training already started and found my father talking to my best friend ,his beta Steve. I wet up to my father and hugged his tightly

"Happy birthday Emy dear" "thanks daddy"

everyone congraluated me and after that I started my training with Steve.

when we were children everyone thought I and Steve were mates but as he turned 18 we found we weren't .

but this didn't affect us and we were really good frnds.

As he was beta we spend most of our time in training.

as for I turned 18 today and will soon find my mate.My mo  said that mate is like other half of you, uyou can't live without him.Well I didn't believe  her first but after seeing my parents I also wanted someone who would love me as my dad loves my mom.

after the training ended Steve and I decided to take a walk via forest to go back home.

everything was great as we walked through the silent forest

frozen silence of winter's dawn,frosted trees sagging with the snow. I wanted to stay in the forest for like my whole life . And as we were walking some childhood memories brought me a smile on my face.

"What are you thinking about?" Steve's question brought me out of my trance

"ohh.. sorry about that I got lost in my own world. I was just thinking about our childhood memories ,we used to build snowman and play with snow it was a lot of fun"

"how about we make one again?" he said with so much excitement that I couldn't refuse him.

It felt like being children again.We played there like kids for hours.But it started to get dark so we hurried back home.

When we reached our pack house something wasn't right, everything was silent.It was dark everywhere and the pack house was never this quiet.

I hurried towards the door and opened with a creak sound, it was dark every where

"mom... dad....where are yo..."

Suddenly all the lights were on and I found all the pack members standing in the backyard

The whole house  was decorated and everyone was here to celebrate my birthday.

Well to be honest I didn't like this fancy b'day party as I hated the centre of attention.But I guess it mom's idea and after all I can't say no to her as I promised to listen to her this whole evening.

"thanks mom and dad but what's up with the party? "

"Darling its ur 18th b'day,so I invited everyone and u may also find ur mate here"

Yeah it's right . I was dad's only daughter and was trained to become and alpha.So I guess I had to meet everyone eventually.

"come let's get u ready...and u are gonna wear a fancy dress"

"but.."before I could say something she put her fingers in my lips.

"shh....no but I think u remember the promise "and smirked.

"yeah.. fine just for this time"

She made me sit on the couch and brought a huge bag.

"what's this?"

"this is ur dress dear"

She pulled out a beautiful black gown and made me wear it.After an hour of mom's makeup skills I looked into the mirror.I was surprised, I looked really beautiful the dress was showing all my curves.my skin glowed and there was a subtle blush on my cheeks.My eye lashes longer and thicker than before. My lips were painted red .

"My sweetie looks amazing,I know you love black so I brought this dress specially for you"

"Let's go then" mom said excitedly.

I was really nervous to meet the mates and other Alphas for the first time. As I stepped into the lawn, my heart was beating like hell.Father wore a grey tuxedo and mother wore a blue gown.

As everyone was talking in the party someone from behind called me from my back.

"Hello Mr.and Mr.s Lockwood "as I turned around I found a man wearing a black tuxedo and beautiful wearing a satin gown
