“A world without you is not a world worth living” I always told Seth. He would always give me the same reply... “Well it will always be worth living then, because I’m never leaving.” He would always look at me kindly as he confidently stated those words. Every word that came out of his mouth was smooth like butter, to me he was like a prince out of a fairytale or the male lead you would see in a romance novel... He had black silk like hair that covered his dark brown eyes. He had tan skin and stood about 5’10 if not a little taller. He would usually be seen wearing black ripped jeans, grayish black combat boots, and a light grey hoodie that was slightly oversized on him. Meanwhile I was nothing like a fairytale princess or a female lead... I’m Hera... a Girl with milk white skin, greyish blue eyes, glasses, and dark blue hair with fire red strands along with bangs... You see? If I was in a story I’d be the background character that only showed up once. Yet Seth still stuck with me... When other people hurt me and betrayed me he was always there to stick up for me and help me through it... Sadly I haven’t seen Seth in a week because I was busy with exams and studying. Luckily tomorrow is monday and I get to see him at my high school.

I got out of the shower and started walking down the hallway that lead to my bedroom as I dried my hair with the light pink towel. My room had white walls and a black ceiling along with a queen sized bed. I walked through the entrance of my room and sat on my bed grabbing my LED lights remote turning them on to a light purple color. I tossed the remote to the side laying on my back just to notice a letter. I open the envelope just to see a paper with one sentence on it “meet me at the usual spot around 10 pm tomorrow. -Seth<3” I smiled at it knowing exactly what he was talking about. I folded up the note putting it away just to lay back down on my bed and fall into a deep sleep....

The next morning I woke up and started getting ready to go to school. I wore black ripped jeans with a black and white checkered flannel along with a pair of shoes. After finishing getting ready I started searching for the letter Seth sent me the other night just to discover it was no where to be found. I slipped my bag over my shoulder and walked out the door. As I walked along the side walk I felt water droplets fall from the sky onto my face and hands... I saw a few other students that were my neighbors pull out an umbrella or run in a hurry to escape the rain. But not me. I loved the rain... it made me feel like I’m not alone anymore. The walk to my school wasn’t very far so I wasn’t in any hurry to get out of it. Suddenly I felt the rain stop and I looked up to see someone holding a umbrella over my head.....
“Seth?! What are you doing here?” I asked as I turned around looking up at him. I was only 5’5 so if I wanted to look him in the eye I’d have to look up. “Am i not allowed to walk down the same route as you?” He laughed. I rolled my eyes jokingly and turned away as I pulled him along with me by his hoodie sleeve. “No, no ur not allowed” I smiled while turning slightly to stick my tongue out at him. About five minutes later we reached the school doors and went our separate ways. My first class was Art and his was Gym so we weren’t with eachother until our second class. I walked in art class and grabbed a blank piece of paper and started sketching on it while the teacher explained the project to us. We were doing a portrait of someone in same grade but different class to challenge us so we didn’t have a reference. A girl named Amy in my class said she called Seth but the teacher said we were drawing names by sticks. Amy was your classic popular girl who had a different boyfriend each week. Now her eyes were set on my boyfriend: Seth. She only ever goes for the hot boys or boys just as popular as her. Amy had golden blonde wavy hair, always wore outfits that showed her “perfect” figure off. U would always see her in a black short skirt and a colorful tight crop top. I got out of my seat and One by one the students including Amy and I went up to pick who we drew. I went last like usual and Amy made sure to be exactly in front of me. She drew her stick and got the class clown: Jaden. Jaden had ginger curly hair and freckles, he was slightly overweight, and he always wore expensive clothes with glasses. I went up next and picked the last stick. As I turned it over I saw the letter “S” on it so I flipped it over fully to see his name: Seth. It’s kinda funny how I always end up picking his name. “UGH! WHY DID THE NERD HAVE TO DRAW HIM OUT OF ALL THE OTHER STUDENTS IN OUR GRADE?!” She yelled... like usual. Everyone was used to Amy’s constant yelling and complaining about me. Yet somehow I turn into the bad guy even when everyone witnessed I did literally nothing to deserve it. I looked up at Amy “it was purely by luck,” I stated “so why are you complaining about it?” She then glared at me and stomped off to her seat. I sighed knowing I was gonna regret opening my mouth later. About 25 minutes later I had the sketch done and heard the bell ring signaling my next class was about to start. I got up and put my sketch into my bag and walked out of the class with my bag resting on my shoulder. I kept my head down as I walked feeling other students shove me out of there way. But I didn’t care. After all I knew this would happen if I spoke but I still opened my mouth....
After school I went home and got ready to meet with Seth. I put on one of my favorite outfits: a black and white shirt with blue Jean shorts/pants:
*3 hours later*
It was 9:00 pm and I had only a hour left until I had to go meet with Seth.... I love the night because for some reason I’m the only one who could see it’s true form... It’s so magical but no matter who I told they never believed me. I grabbed the letter and put it in my pocket as I left my house heading to the spot I usually meet him at. With every step I felt my excitement and anxiety growing as I walked though the tall grass. The moon shines brightly as if giving off a warning while the fireflies circled around. The stars shined brightly and the cold breeze sent shivers down my spine. I kept walking until I reached a tall cliff. I sat on the edge as I stared down at the water 50+ feet below me. I looked down at my scars on my arms as I thought about every beating and every moment I was hurt.... Every scar shows my struggle to survive in this cruel world that everyone called safe. No one saw the true nature of this planet. The dangers is what makes it beautiful to me because I know one day the will be someone who sees what I see. It’s now officially 10 pm and he still isn’t here... it’s not like him to show up late.... “is he ok?” I asked myself as I stood up. Suddenly I felt my phone buzz in my pocket notifying me I had a text. “Sorry I’m not there yet, I’ll meet u at our other place instead. Love you<3” Seth texted. “Okay, love you too” I texted back as I started walking down to the woods we usually went to in day time. As I reached the woods I heard a scream come from the woods and started running towards the area with no trees in the middle of the forest woods. There was a large area with trees surrounding it but no trees in the feild that was in the center of the woods. Suddenly I saw a hand sticking out from behind a rock and ran towards it knowing who it was by the sleeve... “Seth..?” I called trying to get his attention. No answer... “SETH.” Again. No answer. I walked closer seeing red. Red splatter on my boyfriends hoodie as his body laid there lifeless... I fell to my knees holding the love of my life in my arms feeling his skin and blood run cold... I cried knowing how I was never gonna see the once lively sweet boy smile at me or tell me how he would never leave me..... I felt my chest tighten at the thought of never being able to see him or hear his voice again... I kept telling myself he wasn’t dead and it was all a dream... I screamed his name as if trying to get a answer from him... I screamed at him as if it was all a prank trying to wake him up but it was all in vain... I saw a letter fall out of his pocket as if he was trying to tell me something. I put the letter in my pocket without reading it and spent the rest of that night burying the love of my life and crying my eyes out knowing I would never have a chance to say goodbye even....
