Jasper peek behind his easel before he looked right and left and asked Henry about his painting.

as reluctant Jasper was, he started to keep all his accessories in his beg, he suggested something for dinner.

Jasper start looking at Henry's face like he was browsing a menu.

Jasper was dumbfounded for second but it wouldn't take long for Jasper to give beyond imagination of idea to Henry.

Jasper walking to the outside of the art division leaving Henry for a mere minutes before calling his best friend aka his childhood nextdoor friend. but. only a few souls knew the relationship between these two.

Henry catching up with Jasper along the corridor. while they are lively chit chat , mocking eachother, they passing by a mini gallery which the best painting are displayed including Jasper masterpiece. Henry notice recently there a girl would stand at front of Jasper painting unmoved, as he saw the girl is doing the same like other day.

Jasper looking to the direction of the girl who stood at front of his painting. the girl looks so small compare to the frame of Jasper masterpiece. nonchalantly Jasper asked Hendry

Jasper try to stopped himself but his shoes making a squeaky sounds it echoing

The girl notice the noise they were making and saw 2 guys approaching her. the guy at front was panicked and pale while the guy who push him from behind beaming his smile.

Jasper glared at Hendry and asked for clues with his rising brow. his eyes were so cold like he was throwing daggers. Henry got no choice but to break the ice.

the girl look back at Henry with her clear blue eyes. Henry was tall and the girl like tilt her face as she was looking at the tip of a long pole. but after a moment the girl smile to them and look back at Jasper's masterpiece which the girl got no idea the painter is standing next to here.

Henry and Jasper were mesmerized by her comments, especially Jasper. now Jesper couldn't takes off his eyes from the girl.

Henry was in awe but before he could ask her more, Jasper ask her first before Hendry.

The girl look back at Jasper and switch her gaze to the painting.

Jasper was shocked. he couldn't believe what he just heard from the girl as he felt she could become his first rival.

Jasper Asked the girl with a low tone but cold. as his previous experiences, girls who complimented his works were just disguised and they will called his name and threw their self to Jasper in order to uncovered his wealth. but the girl looking at the lower corner of the painting and shrugged.

Jasper notice the girl was holding a sketch book provided by the university and without hesitation Jasper ask the girl to hand over the sketch book to him without the word 'please'.

the girl hand her sketch book to Jasper sceptical. Jasper open her book page by pages and learn her sketches with a quick look. after a while he returned it back to the girl.

As the girl named Edelweiss try to exchange names with Jasper and Henry, Jasper pointed her weakness from her sketch.

in a short time Jasper blown Edelweiss weaknesses at once without even thinking if she could chew it.

Jasper pointed out another detail for his masterpiece while he sneering down to Edelweiss. like an emperor looking down to a lowly peasant. it was a humiliation. Edelweiss couldn't say anything back to him but to cringe her fingers and stares the floor. Henry grabs Jasper's arm and try put some sense into his head.

Jasper ignored Henry and making the situation even worse as he plan to rubs salt on an open wound.

Edelweiss raised her face and look at Jasper with moistened eyes. Jasper was taken aback and started to thinking if he was going to far.

Edelweiss suddenly bow to Jasper and thanked him. her acts makes Jasper to flustered and lost.

Jasper could see her tears rolling on her cheeks and later dropped to the cold floor.

Edelweiss raised again and she wiped her tear while her eyes full of determination darted to Jasper.

Edelweiss turned her back and leave. Jasper's gaze tracing her way leaving. Jasper even reach one hand to stopped Edelweiss from leaving but he just look down on a stranger who admired his masterpiece. Jasper turned around and just to found Henry with his mocking smile.

Jasper sitting on the same spot in his studio built in his minimalist apartment staring at the empty white canvas as he couldn't make a single stroke on the surfaces as his mind were the opposite; tangled with so many thoughts. the stranger that he looked down. how spicy his words before. and the girl named Edelweiss. his knitted brows twisted even more as his thought deepened.

Jasper realize his being paranoid at the mini gallery and caused one side to upset. Jasper being unreasonable distressed when the world started to recognized him as prodigies, became the young billionaire at the age of 15. once the citizens discovered him, all he encountered were women. gold digger. a few were admired Jasper For his work but mostly they treated him as jackpot that Jasper stopped trusting people around him. and the only one he trusts wholeheartedly is Henry Danver.

Jasper could just run to the kitchen and whip something but ever since he tried to cook, the kitchen nearly destroyed and he gave Henry a hard time to clean the entire kitchen. ever since then Jasper leave the cooking to Henry; the punctual, neat and natural cooking being.

the first image emerged in his mind was Edelweiss 👆

Jasper put back his brush couldn't put his 'imagination' to the empty canvas as his mind loaded with Edelweiss multiple angle faces. as he getting bored and tired with his own thoughts, Jasper nodded off at front of his still empty canvas.

the door to the studio were open by Henry. He brought two cups of coffee but just to found out Jasper were sleep while sitting on the chair

Henry sit next to Jasper and deliberately blow the steam from the hot coffee.

as the aromatic coffee spreads in the studio it made to triggered Jasper's nostrils and he opened his eyes at no time.

Jasper looking at Henry and hoping he would hand over the cup to him... he didn't realize he make puppy eyes to Henry where Henry gaze back to Jasper rather stoic.

Jasper more than happy to received the cup of coffee from Henry. Jasper sips the hot coffee as he was filling up his life's bar.

Jasper shuddered slightly when Henry, used to know how he worked pointed the matter out.

Jasper rather die than let Henry know what's bothering him. Jasper keep silent while still looking at the canvas. but his best friend Henry know the best to figured out thought and being sly in a same time that Henry started singing an old song from an old musical movie.

Jasper turned to Henry with flushed cheeks and flustered voices because the song given title itself called 'Edelweiss' the song alone enough to let Jasper spit the truth without getting push. Henry Smirked

Henry can tell Jasper feeling so uncomfortable to deal with the guiltiness that keep build up, Henry tell him;

Jasper agreed to Henry but he rather not show it as he get another thing to worry.

As if there nothing could hide from Henry when all things have been figured out. it gave Jasper little chill.

Henry stood and left the room with an ajar door. Jasper just noticed it few minutes after Henry left while he rake his brain for apologies event.

Jasper put aside the cup of coffee and going to the door to close but the door seems to stuck by something on the floor doorway. Jasper looking down. it was a tray filled with hearty food prepared by Henry Danver.

Despite where the tray were placed, Jasper sits on the doorway and pickup the plate of warm carbonara pasta with bacon. even it wasn't dan dan noodle, but Jasper really grateful and indulge himself to the delicious and heartwarming food.

Jasper loud happy voice could be hears across the apartment so do Henry that actually reading some book in the living room. Henry chuckles and knew Jasper is eating the pasta he cooked.

Morning

Henry was ready to go to campus and would like to grab some bananas from the dining table. his usual morning were to grab something easy to go like milk or small fruits. Henry did not bother to waking up Jasper as Henry like to waking early while Jasper would coming last because he likes to drive. But to his surprise, Jasper was brewing coffee and his bag all good standby on the chair.

Jasper literally with dark circle under the eyes, waiting the drips of coffee to filled his mug. he was pale that Henry mistook the dark bulging eye bags was a smokey makeup 😂

Jasper Drink his coffee as he walks to reach for his bag, and almost falling over.

he took out a car keys from his jacket and toast it to Henry.

Jasper head away to the basement carpark and get into the car. like a drop of hat. he a fast asleep. Henry who just sits on the driver seat, glanced to Jasper. he knows Jasper better than anyone else including his own family.

Jasper Weatherfield once being called black sheep in his family, he dedicated his life in fine art while his father wanted him to follow his footsteps to become a successful business man. but Jasper has a different perspective of wealth hunting. he once said against his father he could become successful through painting. and he was 14 when his father asked him to choose study business, he'll inherited the family wealth automatically, but if he chose to draw his father will chase him away and forbid him to ever return as good as disown him. Jasper left with no dime from the Weatherfield. he once sleep under the street light, counts his own hard earned money before meal and even washed his face with rain. and it was Henry who took him in. so he lived with Henry under his father aid, all Jasper has to do were drawing and painting and selling his masterpiece on the street. his paintings caught the attention of the art collectors. the art collectors must have seen a bright future for the young Jasper in art and designs industry. he offered Jasper to paints 5 oil paintings and take it to enter an auction where the art collectors from around the world will feast their eyes with amazing arts. Jasper risk his last money to bought canvases to creates 5 oil paintings as he puts all his passion, his stressed, his tears, blood and sweat and put it into painting. The unknown art collector were right. Jasper has paved road of his own success when one of his masterpiece sold for 18 million dollars while the rest were lower than that but still the price followed by 7 digits. Jasper made a history of becoming the youngest millionaire at the age of 14 and a billionaire on 15. people wanted to know who the painter but Jasper choose to remain behind the curtain. only some people know him and most of them are powerful people in business circle. Jasper took money from paint by request, limited exhibition and bid auction. being the young and rich prodigy. some of his paintings he would put on charity auction and donated to any fundamental that meets the eye. that was 6 years ago and that's how he became unknowingly popular in business world as well entertainment industry. people will thought the person behind this filthy rich and beyond generous were sit on the top of his own skyscraper served by hundreds people instead he was attended to quite common university life as one of the normal middler student on the year he presents now.

after filled in the gas, Henry drives to the Hazelton University and when they entered the gate, people would started to pay attention because who the hell drove a Bentley to university if wouldn't be someone who born with a silver spoon. but there a funny twist rumours about Jasper. some people thought that he earned the car at used car dealers while some thought he was a gigolo get pampered by an old rich woman. but none of it will get into his nerves because none of it were true.

Jasper rubs his eyes to freshen a bit. after Henry parked the car, Jasper get out and approach to some of the female students. Henry pondering what Jasper doing with them. Henry unlock the car and try to call Jasper but what he heard next shocked him to the bone.

as Jasper pointed his thumb behind him where Henry were stood.

Jesper leave the group of female and return to his exhausted being. now the females look at Henry with kittenish acts. But Henry ignored them and catch up with the sleepy Jasper.

Jasper enter the art division hall while Henry hesitate to buy or not to buy to his dear friend a can off black coffee. but just a second Henry about to keep walking to the nearest vending machine to get some coffee, but the thick and sturdy door hall almost flew when suddenly Jasper Push open the door and run to the outside. his looks so agitated with ripened face. he was fully awake and stuttering;

Henry snatched his arm and sneer to him.

Jasper struggling to free himself but Henry force him and try to drag him inside. the noise behind closed door are so intense that someone opened the door.

Edelweiss looking at Jasper, Jasper could not make an escape anymore. his face are getting evenly red and lost for words.

Edelweiss closed the door behind her and stood at front of Jasper and look at him with her clear blue eyes that even at a time like this she was quite mesmerized and it makes Jasper to skip a beat.

Jasper and Henry were shocked.

Jasper eyes widened when he heard those words from Edelweiss. he heard those words hundreds of times from other students and others buyer. but he never felt warm until now. Edelweiss eyes were gleaming when she said she loved his work. Jasper for the first time he really feel the compliment he truly deserve.

Edelweiss couldn't help but feeling down as she thought she get rejected and averted her eyes. Jasper glance at Henry. Henry smile as if he said 'go on.' When Jasper look back at Edelweiss, it was like she was looking at a tiny flower. he was tall but Henry was taller, he chuckled as he remembered how she have to tilt her face yesterday. Jasper bend his back and make him face Edelweiss as level as he can.

Jasper didn't dislike her but he unconsciously attracted to her character.

Henry was absorbing Jasper for quite sometime. it wasn't the first time he critiques other people work and he never felt guilty and not sorry at all. but it was different for Edelweiss. Jasper ignored the other and wouldn't care what other people felt. but he does care and restless think through the night either she will forgive him or the opposite.

Jasper give Henry a short glare and said no.

Jasper stomped on Henry's foot. Henry almost screaming but covered it with a uncomfortable smile

Henry look at Jasper back with a smile, Jasper knitted his brows. as if these two were hiding some odds.

after several days their met with Edelweiss. under Jasper guide, Edelweiss getting better in understanding of anatomy and perspective. yet. when Edelweiss started to draw, she somehow messed with it and started to confuse 'was it like this or should I do this' and it becomes frequent problem to her.

at the campus cafeteria

Edelweiss are eating alone with her homemade lunchbox. she was seated at the far end corner. it was her habit and she used to sitting alone while eating and do some sketches. her lunch for today is braised pork and potatoes and she cooked it for herself. but it was too much for her.

she began to regret it as she thought it would be such a waste. and though she shouldn't cooked so much. Henry saw Edelweiss when he does an errand for Jasper. Henry approach Edelweiss and give her a friendly greeting.

Henry actually surprised to see the amount of her lunch. Edelweiss realize he was looking at the pork and try to clear a thing to Henry before he get an idea that she's a foodie.

Henry run to the cash register and asked for empty take out boxes. and run immediately to Edelweiss.

Edelweiss couldn't believe that someone would ask for her 'leftover' but Edelweiss hate wasting food so she's kind of happy to give it away.

Jasper arrived at the cafeteria and saw Henry was with Edelweiss.

Jasper asked Henry about their lunch and Henry proudly passed the 'lunchbox' that he just packed to Jasper hand.

Edelweiss thought, Henry would eat it alone but instead he gave it to Jasper. Edelweiss's face turned red because she was afraid If Jasper eat it and do not like it. Edelweiss raised and excuse herself abruptly.

Jasper were dumbfounded like she was running out of their sights. he just arrived yet she left. Jasper felt little down because he wanted to talk with Edelweiss.

Jasper open the cover and saw a mouthwatering pork glazed with brown sauce with well cooked potatoes. he eat it...

Henry noticed that Jasper couldn't resist it, he eat Edelweiss's braised pork with a big appetite.

Henry smiled. Jasper always complimented his food as Henry always cook for him. even he complimented other cooker, he will said it in the end 'but your cooking still the best' and today Jasper said 'this is the best pork dish I ever had.'

Jasper had no Idea the food was prepared by Edelweiss. he swallowed the last lump he had in his mouth. and clear his throat deliberately.

he doesn't look impressed like before but Henry can see his cheeks tinted red which means he really LIKE it. not long after that, Henry got a phone call from his father. Henry needed to present at his father for a certain matter.

Henry asked for a leave after that and Jasper attend one more class. the theme of their drawing session are 'White Maiden'. the lecturer said to use their imagination to creates a beautiful, angelic, celestial maiden. so the students started portray by making a rough sketching. while Jasper all he can thinks were a girl named Edelweiss and he has been thought about her lately. Edelweiss often to looking for him and learned a lot of things from him. and when came to teaching, Jasper were worse than the lecturer. he was stricter and fierce. sometimes Edelweiss lost her guts to asked for help but Jasper always gave his attention either she like it or not. Jasper got the impression that Edelweiss were scared around him often like what she did at the cafeteria, she left the second Jasper came to them.

Jasper didn't waste his time spending on rough sketch. he just needs to imagine it in his head. and he tried not to related it with Edelweiss even by bit so he decided to draw a white haired and fair maiden with thin dress and focus his work to details the hair of the white maiden. it's a beautiful work made by just a couple of brown graphite pencil. the results were breathtaking... But.

Jasper stared to the maiden on his sketch book and he thought he must have looked at her secretly and created this delicate expression. the more he look at it the faster his heartbeat drums. he even thought that she would look like this when she's older and finally Jasper closed his book and decided not to submit it. and it will remind with him and only him.

Jasper left the class before the other asks him to show his drawing. That's what they does to Jasper, They wanted to see his masterpiece more than the rest of the other students who also drew. but today task Jasper wouldn't let any of them to witnesses the maiden inside his sketch book. He did not like it especially the male students to see it and they'll sure will fall for her. An art made to be seen but the 'white maiden' is exceptional.

Jasper run to the car park look for his Mini Cooper that Henry had sent to switched with his Bentley. The red Mini Cooper was his 1st car right after he obtained his driving license, he bought it with his own money.

it's been a while Jasper didn't treat himself to shopping. Henry who always helped Jasper to buy his clothes. sometimes people will have an impression of this 2 looking good guys in a relationship. but neither of them care because Jasper needs Henry to be around, not because he wanted to.

The shopping complex.

Jasper thought he needs new shirt and jacket but he was unfamiliar with the shopping mall all he does in his life were spending 90% of his life Painting and the rest were eat and sleep. the way he dressed just like an ordinary young man with no aura of crazy rich people. and his shoes, he even worn it out through the years and talk about his bag that he carried all the time yield no brand. he just a no brand guy.

Jasper seems to lost in the middle of the crowd, he wasn't favour crowded place that he rather sat inside his studio hours and hours than being tortured in such places. a faint voice calling him from behind. the voice was familiar to him. he turned around and saw the real white maiden.

Jasper not expecting to meet her there he ask her what she's doing here.

Jasper look at her dress, the coat she wears suits her perfectly. her skirt peeking behind her jacket with a black leggings match with dark brown boots that looks worn out just like his shoes. as her hands always inside her pockets. and that the most things Jasper would notice Edelweiss like to do. her hands in the pockets.

Jasper thought that Edelweiss probably irritated with him and she will leave immediately. but then he thought again if she was irritated she wouldn't bother nor to trouble herself to call him out.

Edelweiss stopped and turned to Jasper.

Edelweiss surprised to his request. the coldness in his eyes fades and all she can see is gently eyes staring at her.

Jasper felt extremely happy and she's say 'yes' his expression change and he couldn't help but to smile. It was her first time to see him smiling and not that sneer, smirk or sarcastic smile like he used to wear.

Edelweiss bring Jasper to the common clothes department where she thought Jasper can save money when shopping there as the shop selling shoes as well. but Jasper did not opposed instead he really like it. Edelweiss help Jasper to select a nice shirt and shoes for him and Jasper find out that her taste really suits him, she knows how to match colour and style. Jasper end up buying all the shirts, jackets and shoes that Edelweiss asked him to try.

Edelweiss felt she's the one who force him to buy and started to worry.

Jasper never worried about money and how much he had spent, but shopping with Edelweiss was worth for him because he never thought selecting clothes with someone and opposite gender are good and he felt like a date than just shopping.

because of the clothes are too much to hold, Jasper asked the shopper to deliver the clothes to his address and pay extra money for the service.

They walked out the shop and right in front of him there another shop selling beautiful everyday dresses and he actually found the dress that he imagined the white maiden wears. as he was profound, Edelweiss wanted to check the art supplies shop upstairs.

As Jasper said go, he intentionally pat on both of Edelweiss shoulder to 'measures' her size. after Edelweiss disappeared from the escalator, he quickly entered the shop and ask for an assistant to wrap the dress in size'S' but the assistant looking at him from head to toes and judge Jasper casual look.

The sale assistant afraid because Jasper did not ask for the price but immediately asked her to wrapped the dress. Jasper took out his wallet and hand the sale assistant a card in a black colour. when the sale assistant learned what kind of card she holds, she started to shakes.

the sale assistant right away wraps the dress and immediately present the neatly boxed dress to Jasper and his card. Jasper casually going out and wait for Edelweiss to come back. when she's back, she looks down and explain to Jasper;

looking at her sad face, he got the urge to solve it for her then he remembered the shop he used to buy his own art supplies.

Jasper scooped Edelweiss's hand and pull her along.

as Edelweiss follows Jasper to the car park, Jasper saw another Mini Cooper with black paint. but he did not expecting to Edelweiss reactions when she saw the Mini Cooper.

Jasper didn't think it was funny at all but he is no doubt attracted to Edelweiss more and more. Jasper smiled and he thought letting Henry to use his Bentley was a brilliant thoughts. he unconsciously holding Edelweiss's hand with more firm and continue walking until they reach to another Mini Cooper and this time it's red.

Jasper take out his keys and pressed on the remote to unlock the doors and the light flicked. Edelweiss slightly flinched when the car headlights flicked.

Jasper go to the side of the passenger door and open it for Edelweiss.
