Ven's POV

TW: mention of abuse, abuse, foul language.

When I woke up this morning it was the usual, wake up, eat, get ready, etc. But something about today felt different. I didn't feel like today was going to be a fun day, not at all.

When I finished getting ready I got into my car and drove off to school "Wooo, school." was all I had to say during my long drive to school.

When I got to school I headed to my locker like normal and I grabbed my stuff for the first 2 classes today. I tried desperately to make sure Finneral and his gang weren't around. Whose Finneral you might ask? He's the school jock, also my bully. Because of my girl like features I'm misgendered as a girl most of the time. I'm also 5'5 in height but the sad part of it all is because I'm 18 and graduating this year and because of that, Finneral and his gang have been beating me to shit on a daily basis. Life was absolute hell for me while I was still here.

On my successful trip to class without Finneral showing up I got in my seat and waited for class to start. While I was waiting an unexpected thing happened. My best friend came into class with Finneral and his gang. I sat there thinking 'why is Jayna with them?..' in utter confusion. Before I knew it the bells rang and class started.

After class I tied my best to leave class as fast as I could but Finneral grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me with him to the men's locker room with Jayna following them looking pissed. Before I knew it I was getting kicked in the stomach by Finneral's buddies. I was screaming my lungs out for help but Jayna then said, and I repeat "Shut the hell up dirty dog, no one is going to come help a pathetic ***** like you." those words were on repeat in my head, and before I knew it I asked "why did you say that Jayna?..." in shock and pain. All Jayna said back to me was "You heard me." I was in so much disbelief she said that to me.

Once the beating was over they all left and I was in the locker room alone, crying.I was pretty sure it was late already, I did have a feeling I was in the locker room for a long time. I got up and I grabbed my phone and it read '4:38pm 13 missed calls from mom' I knew I was gonna get yelled at by mom later on.

When I got home and mom saw me she nearly ran towards me and slapped me but she then saw my black eye, scars, bloody nose, etc. next thing I knew my mom grabbed her phone and asked me "What happened and be very precise on what happened."

After telling my mom everything she made a few phone calls to somebody and I didn't really care. While I was scrolling through tuktook my mom yelled for me "Ven!! honey please come down stairs there are some people I want you to meet!". I went down stairs and when I saw who I saw I instantly froze.

A man with dark black hair said something to me but I couldn't tell what he said. Next thing I knew he was dragging me upstairs and to the restroom. He then asked "has the swelling if the scars healed any?" and his deep husky voice sent shivers down my spine, I had to respond quick and I said "No shithead, I got these only a few hours ago." which was a lie, I got these a long time ago and the swelling of the scars aren't as bad anymore. While he was taking care of my scars and bruises I took this time to scan him over. He was at least 6'4 with a lot of muscles and dark black hair and not to mention it was curly and fluffy, I can't tell you how bad I wanted to pet him. Unlike me I was a bit chunky and skinny, I was 5'5 with fluffy hair and it was normally always in a bun. We both also had brown eyes.

After all of that I was told to go to my room and stay there for a few hours and get rest. I ofc didn't and I took this time to lock my door and grab some art supplies and draw the unknown man. I couldn't tell you how bad I want to just let him and sit in his lap. Sadly my thoughts were interrupted when I heard my mom on the other side asking me if I was doing okay, I got up and unlocked the door and said "Yeah mom, just sketching as usual" and got an instant reply with a mom in my room snooping through my drawers "That's nice honey, make sure to get some rest and if not that you can come down and get food or you could even go down to the beach. Wouldn't that be nice honey." I nodded my head and took this chance to go get food. While I was downstairs making myself a sandwich I heard the unknown man talking to some other people and out of the tiniest sentence I heard my father name get spit out. Hearing that man's name I was instantly in raged and rushed it of the house.

A few minutes I was by the beach sitting on the sand. I heard the unknown man's name call out for me "Hey, kid!" I just sat there not responding. "There you are kid. What were you thinking rushing out like that." I responded with "Shut up asshole." And I got an immediate response "Who do you think your talking to." with an angry sounding husky voice talk from behind me. If I'm being quite honest that sent shivers down my spine, honestly.

Before I knew it he picked me up and said "Listen kid I know your not doing well right now but don't rush off like a fucking insane person looking for drugs, please." when he said that I started laughing. "Why that comparison?!?" I said laughing. When I opened my eyes I saw a very serious man and I then knew something was up.
