My name is Yua and I live in a small town in Japan. I have recently moved here because my mum got a new job near.

Here , I don't have as many friends as I used to back at Okazaki (my previous hometown) but I managed to make a very good friend. Her name is Asahi and she's really sociable and friendly. We are really close and we chat every single day. I'm glad that I met her.

Today is another boring day at my new school. The summer is near and me and Asahi are already planning how we will spend our holidays.

I woke up at 6:30 am (as usual) and put on my school uniform

I was really curious to go to school today because many students were talking about a new student that would come today.

Asahi called me and told me she was waiting outside of my house

I took my school bag and left.

Asahi: Hi cutie! How did you sleep?

Yua: Stop calling me cutie. It makes me feel uncomfortable

Asahi: Lol. Whatever... Are you as excited as me to meet the new student?

Yua : I guess

Asahi: You think it's a boy or a girl?

Yua: You know... Whatever it is I just hope we won't have troubles...

Asahi: Yeah, I agree. But , to be honest I want to be a cute guy ^^

Yua: As always 😆

After a 10 walk , we finally arrived to school. My hands were cold and trembling... I don't know why... maybe because of my excitement to meet the new student...

We walked to our class.

My seat was exactly in the middle of the class. Asahi's seat was some seats behind mine.

There was an empty desk... So that means that maybe the new student would be in our class!

So exciting!

We were chatting with Asahi and some of our classmates when the door opened and the teacher came in. Then we all took our seats and he started

Teacher: Good morning everyone. So, today as you all know, we will have a new student with us. I want you all to be kind to him

Him! So now we all knew that it was obviously a guy. Who knows? Maybe he would be Asahi's dream cute guy.

Teacher: So! You may come in Kaito

A talk handsome boy came in. He seemed really confident but he was definitely not Asahi's cute type. His hair was black and blonde and his eyes were cold and he really didn't seem the type of guy who wants friends.

Kaito: Hello everyone. My name is Kaito. Nice to meet you.

He said it like he wasn't really excited to meet us... His voice was cold and so strange that made everyone staring at him in silence. We really didn't know if that guy was attempting to show us what he really is like or he just wanted to be as friendly as he could. We just had to wait for some time to get to know him...

Teacher: Alright Kaito thank you. Now you can take the empty seat.

He sat infront of me at that empty seat. He seemed to be a little nervous but I don't judge him... I remember myself, I was just like him... but more friendly and shy. The first person who talked to me was Asahi... Without her I would all alone in this huge school.

After our lessons it was lunch time. As usual, me and Asahi sat in our favourite table. At the corner of my eye, I noticed that Kaito was sitting all alone in an empty table. He looked like he was sad about something but mad at the same time...

I didn't realize Asahi was talking to me when she shouted at me louder.

Asahi: Hey! Yua!

Yua: Huh? What happened?

Asahi: I was talking to you!

Yua : I'm sorry... i was daydreaming...

Asahi quickly noticed that I was looking at Kaito's table

Asahi: Ah... i see... you are interested in Kaito.

Yua: What?! No! I was just... thinking... that he's alone.

Asahi: Hmm? Oh... that's true. But it is his first day at school. I'm sure he will make friends. But it's too pity that he's not the cute type :(

Yua: I guess...

After lunch we had some free time so I decided to go to the library to study.

I thought I was alone... when...

A figure came near me. I didn't realize who was it. My heartbeats were faster. The figure's hand tapped me on my shoulder I almost fell of my chair

I turned back terrified to see the figure's face and I saw-

Kiyoshi!

Kiyoshi was the guy that would go around doing pranks in random people. We never really talked before but I knew him good enough.

Yua: AAAAAAHH!

I let a scream go out of my mouth although I knew it was him. It just came out naturally.

Kiyoshi: Woah! Hey calm down! It's a monster. It's me. Kiyoshi. Remember?

Yua: Kiyoshi, you- ah! You scared me to death 😓

Kiyoshi: I just hope no one will think that I hurt you. You made my ears hurt!

Yua: I'm sorry... By the way, what are you doing here?

Kiyoshi: What else? I'm pranking you haha

He giggled

Yua: You better stop. *sigh* I'll never find some piece and quiet in this school.

Kiyoshi: Sure you won't!

He continued laughing as he was heading out when he stopped and turned back to me to face me.

Kiyoshi: By the way, I heard that the new student is in your class. What's his name?

Yua: His name is Kaito.

Kiyoshi: Interesting... Is he handsome?

I hesitated

Yua: He's fine... Now leave already I need to study!

Kiyoshi: Ok ok. Bye~

Kiyoshi left and I could finally finish my project... but the thought of today's experience didn't leave my head. What was so special about Kaito and I couldn't get him out of my mind? He was just a normal student. Besides I didn't even know him... and I don't think I would ever get to know him...

I tried to stay focused on my school project.

When I finished I packed my things and went back to class.

In the class was so much noise. Everyone was minding their own business that no one really noticed that I came in. I was kinda relieved. I never wanted to be the centre of attention.

I saw Asahi and some other girls chatting while eating snacks. I also noticed that Kaito was alone, sitting at his seat and listening to music.

I went to my desk and left my bag down.

To my big surprise, Kaito turned around and talked to me! To me! I never really had a hope of talking to him but as long as he faced me I had to say something.

Kaito: Hello

Yua: H-Hello? "Hello" to me?

Kaito: Yes?

Yua: Hi then...

Some minutes of silence came after while I was pretending to organising my desk and Kaito was just starting at me.

Kaito: Soooo, what's your name?

Yua: I'm Yua... nice to meet you. I-I hope you have a great time in our school

I told him and I smiled as brightly as I could so could make him feel more comfortable

Kaito: Thanks... You know... since it's my first time in this school, could you give me a tour after class?

Yua: A tour?

Kaito: Yes. I thought it would help me figure out where every facility is. Unless if you have anything else to do

Tour Kaito in the school? I barely knew him and he asked me such a thing? The truth is that I was a new student too. It's been almost a month since I came here. But how could I say no? He seemed like he really needed it. Besides he doesn't have any friends to trust and he chose to trust me! It wasn't a big deal.

Yua: Um... sure! Let's meet out of the class after the lesson for a tour.

Kaito: Good :)

He said in relief. I wanted to get to know him so much! Kaito seemed so mysterious... When I first saw him he was cold and distant but now that I talked to him he was so nice and kind. He seemed like he was giving his best to be kind.

The teacher entered the classroom and we all took our seats.

After our lesson, I packed my bag and waited out for Kaito. Asahi came to me.

Asahi: Hey Yua, are you coming?

Yua: I'm sorry Asahi. I wait here for Kaito. He asked me to show him the school facilities.

Asahi: What? Did you tell him that you are new student too?

Yua: No. But it's alright don't worry. I know the school pretty good.

Asahi: As you wish... anyway, see you around bestie!

Yua: Bye~

At the time Asahi started running to the exit and I was waving at her, Kaito cane to me.

Kaito: Hey

He said shyly like he felt guilty about something.

Yua: Hi! Are you ready?

Kaito: Y-Yes...

I clearly saw that he lost most of his confidence. Why's that? Is he shy around girls? How cute!

After a big and specific explanation about the facilities and their locations, Kaito left and I headed home as well.

When I entered the house at a first sight I didn't see anyone, but then I heard my mum was talking on the phone with someone.

I went to the bathroom and took a shower. The I went to my room and put on my pajamas. Then I grabbed my phone and checked all my notifications.

At 8pm my mum called me for dinner.

Mum: So how was your day?

Yua: Just like any other day.

Mum: I mean... did you meet the new student you were talking about?

Yua: Huh? Oh... Yeah, of course. He's our classmate. His name is Kaito.

Mum: What a pretty name. Did you talk to him?

Yua: Yes. He also asked me to tour him around the school.

Mum: How lovely... You are such a kind girl!

After dinner I headed to my room and soon I fell asleep on my bed.

I was in a park. I didn't know how I was there but it was a park near my house.

I wasn't alone. Someone else was there too... I couldn't figure out who was it.

It was dark. Late at night. That someone, came near me and his face became clear.

It was Kaito!

***Yua***: W-What are you doing here this late?

I asked when I wasn't sure what I was doing there too.

Without answering my question, Kaito came close to me, like really close.

***Yua***: What are you doing?!

Kaito touched my chin with his hand

**Kaito**: There are a lots of things you don't know about me

He said with such a different voice. It was a voice that matched with his face this morning when he came in the class for the first time.

***Yua***: What do you mean?

I tried to make him say as much as possible. But it wasn't easy with this personality.

**Kaito**: You... have to-
