{ This story is from old times 😊😇 }
( from India 🇮🇳 )
I was in fifth standard at the government school. One day, I went to school 🏫 with four rupees in my pocket to pay 💰 school fees . When I got there I found that the teacher 👩🏫 who collected the fees, Sir Michael Dicosta, was in leave and so the fees would be collected the next day ☀. All through the day the coins simply sat in my pocket, but once school got over and I was on my way, they began to speak 🗣...
All right 😅 . Coins don't talk 🙂 . They jingle . but that day they actually spoke 😳 !! Once coin said " what are you thinking 🤔 about those fresh, hot Jalebis..( 𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝐼𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝑆𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑠𝑦𝑟𝑢𝑝 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑦𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑜𝑟 𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 😊 ).. ? Jalebis are meant to be eaten and only those with money in their pocket can eat them.
( This is Jalebi... 👆 )
" Look here, you Four rupees. " I said to them. " I am a good child. Don't misguide me orvit won't be good for you. Besides, you are my fees money. If I spent you today, then how shall I show my face to Sir Michael Dicostain school tomorrow? "
The coins disliked 😩 what I 'd said All of them began to speak at the same time. There was such a clamour that passerby in the bazaar stared at me and my pocket. I grabbed all four of them and held them right in my fist and then they were silent 🔕. But after taking a few steps 👣 , I loosened my grip. Immediately, the oldest coin said, " Tell me honestly now, don't you feel like eating thos hot, hot jalebis? And then, if you spend 💸 us for today, won't you get the scholarship money 💵 tomorrow. ? sweets with the fees money, fees with the Scholarship money. "
"What you are saying 💬 isn't right. " I replied, " but it isn't that wrong either. Listen, I am not a common sort of child. " The coins argued, " But then, those Jalebis are no common sort of Jalebis either. They're crisp, fresh and full of sweet syrup. "
The coins were so keen on being spent 💸 that day☀ , they kept up their attempts. Finally I rushed to the shop. Terrified 😖 I was, but quickly I told the Halwai ( The 👨🍳 Cook ) to weigh a whole rupee worth of jalebis. The Halwai opened up a whole newspaper and heaped a pile of Jalebis on it...
I clutched the Jalebis to my chest and ran 🏃 into a Gali (street). When I reached a safe 😇 corner, I began to devour the Jalebis. I ate so Many.... So Many Jalebis that if anyone pressed my stomach a little, Jalebis would be popped out of my ears and nostrils...
Very quickly, kids from the entire neighborhood assembled in the Gali ( Street) . By the time I was so pleased😄😆 with my stomach full of Jalebis thatvi got into the mood for some fun. I started handing out Jalebis to the Children around. I dashed to the Halwai and bought one more rupee worth of Jalebis, came back and stood on the Chabutara ( platform ) of one of the houses 🏡 , liberally distributing Jalebis to the children...
(pic of village Chabutara)
By now there was a huge mob of children around me. The beggars too launched an assault 😳 ! I baught Jalebis for the remaining two rupees as well and distributed them. Then I washed my hands and mouth at the public tap and returned home, putting on such an Innocent face, as if I hadn't even seen the hint of a Jalebis all my life. Digesting Jalebis become another matter. At night 🌙 I 🙋 had to eat dinner 🍽 as well.
The result was that all night🌙 I lay, coiled up like a Jalebi, suffering a stomach ache. Thank God I didn't have to eat all four rupees worth of Jalebis by myself. In the mo morning 🌄 just like any other day ☀, I went to school 🏫. I knew I would get the previous month's Scholarship that day ☀ and once I'd paid 💰 the fees with that amount, the Jalebis would be completely digested. But when I got to school, I found out that the Scholarship was going to be paid the following month. My head 👱 started to spin 💫 .
Sir Michael Dicosta announced that the fees would be taken during the recess. When the recess bell rang, I left the school 🏫 and walked 🚶👣 on and on. Finally I reached the railway🚂 station🚏. I started praying to God. " Just this once save me. order an Angel 👼 to pass by and drop just for rupees in my pocket. I promise I will use them only to pay 💰 my fees and not to eat Jalebis. "
There was a shade - giving tree 🌳 beside the railway tracks 🛤. Earlier the entire matter seemed so simple : Jalebis with the fees money and the fees with Scholarship money. I had known that I would get the Scholarship the next month, I would have postponed my Jalebi eating programme to the next month as well. Now for the crime of eating few Jalebis, for the first time in my life I was absent from school. Sitting there under the tree 🌲 , at first I felt like crying (T_T) 😭 . Then I felt like laughing 😂 when it struck me that the tears 😢 I was shedding we're not tears but drops 💧of Jalebi Syrup.
I got up from there and walked to the bazaar and waited for the school bell 🔔 to ring, so that when the children came out , I too would vwalk hone with them as if I had coke straight from school.
The next day I did the same thing. I got dressed and left home, went up to the school gate 🏫⛩ then turned off to the railway station 🚉 . Under the same tree 🌳 I sat and began to say 🗣 the same prayers 🙏 . I repeatedly pleaded " My God 😭🙏 ! At least give it to me today. Today is the second day. " Then I said, " All right come, let's play a game. I will go 🏃 from here to that signal 🎋. You secretly place Four rupees under this big stone. I will touch that signal 🎋 and come back. "
I went up to the signal 🎋 and return 🚶 , smiling 😊.
Finally after saying the name of God, When I lifted up the rock, a big hairy worm 🐛 got up. I screamed and ran 🏃💨 away.
I was caught. The report of my absence had reached home. It's unless to describe what happened after that.
Well, whatever happened, happened. But up to the seventh or eight Standard I kept wondering, if God had sent me four rupees that day, what harm could it have possibly caused anyone? It was only laterbthat I came to the conclusion that if God we're to provide all we asked for , then even today, man would be living in nests like crows and he would not have learnt the art of making Jalebis 😋🥨 !!..

(Hello my dear readers....I am really so so so sorry for posting late story because of some personal issues. and I know I am too late this time but I promise I will continue posting stories on time..I hope u enjoy this chapter too..)
This story is based on real incident that happened with my little uncle's Friend...In this story his name is Edward Jones as shopkeeper...
(The pic of the shopkeeper 👆 Edward Jones)
One 1⃣ hot 🔥 day ☀ in summer 🌞 a shopkeeper 👨🌾 was working in his shop. Business was slow and there were no customer in the shop. He decided to go behind the counter and work on his account books. When he started taking interest in the books he felt someone walking in. He looked up. In the doorway stood a tall, thin woman, dressed in grey. "Grey as shadows" 🌑 the shopkeeper thought to himself.
( from the shopkeeper's thought : 👆)
She had a sad (Tʖ̯T), tragic face. Her big, dark eyes were full of tears. she moved slowly to the counter.
(her face)
Shopkeeper stood up, looked at her kindly and said, "What can I do for you ma'am? "
Without speaking🗣 the woman 👩 pointed to a bottle of milk.
(bottle of milk 🍼🥛... Btw how many of you drink milk?? tell me in comments 💬... 😊 )
she took the bottle of milk, turned around, and wend out without paying 💰 or speaking 🗣 .
The shopkeeper was so touched by her great say eyes that he had no 🚫 courage to go after her and demand money.
The next day business was slow again. while dusting some of the shelves, the shopkeeper felt that she had come in the store again. He turned around. She was standing in the doorway with the same gray dress and the same great, sad eyes 👀.
he went 🏃 behind the counter and asked, "what can I do for you today ma'am? "
Just as before, she pointed to a bottle of milk 🥛🍼 . He lifted it down and handed it to her. She took it, turned around, and left the store.
That night he met with his two friends Mark Walesy and Joseph Campbell to play Cards. As he was dealing out the cards, he told his friends about the woman in gray. "She has a secret 😶 . I don't know what it is but I 'd like to know 🤔. "
The both friend of his listened to the whole story and then Mark said 💬 "We both will come to the shop tomorrow and pretend 🎭 that we're 👬 shopping. If she 👩 comes again, we'll follow her, We'll see what her secret is ." Josheph nodded and they all agree with what Mark said.

The next day, at about the same time 🕒 , the shopkeeper (Edward) was working and his both friends were stationed around (gathered around) as though they were shopping. Within few minutes, the woman in gray was standing in the doorway. She moved up to the counter.
Shopkeeper : " what can I do for you ma'am today?"
just as before, she pointed a bottle🍼 of milk. He handed it to her. She turned around and went out.
The shopkeeper closed his shop. The friends gatherwd together at the doorway. They were going to hang back (follow in a crowd) so she wouldn't know rltahtbshe was being followed. They all didn't need to worry about that. The woman was moving down to the main street so fast, they could barely keep her in sight. Moving right out of the end of town and down a country lane, she went on and on until she reached the Cemetery (graveyard).
(pic of Cemetery)
After a time she reached a rise in the hill, stood there like a shadow for a moment against the sky, then disappeared.

On that spot was a new grave, The grass hadn't even begun to grow ☝ over the freshly 🍃 turned earth. On the tombstone this was written :
Buried here, a young mother and her infant 🚼 child 👶 who have died 💀⚰ of a fever 🤒.
The friends were all shocked ⊙▂⊙, standing around, trying to figure out what it was they had just seen 👀 , When they heard 👂 a sound coming from the grave. It was long mournful(sad) baby's wail (cry) . Joseph ran 🏃 for find a shovel and began to dig... Mark and Edward took a piece of Broken tombstone and started to help Joseph.
After some time 🕒 they exposed the pine casket . Edward reached down and opened it up.
Inside was the women in gray. She was dead 💀.. but beside her body there was another casket.. Edward take it out and open it as well... In that casket it was that woman's baby..
It was alive. It had been in a coma when the mother died and was taken to be dead as well. The shopkeeper picked up the baby and he saw something that made his blood run cold. There, in the grave, were three empty milk bottles.
After that, they covered the grave over and found a home for the baby... The folks down in the Alabama town 🌇 never saw the women in gray again... They say it's because she knows her baby is safe.
(Baby saved by The three men... isn't it cute... 🥰🥰 )
