‘A new beginning in my journey to highschool it’s unclear whether I will get lost or I will get purpose in my life, thankful that I have Arin and Youmi with me. Good luck to myself and all the new beginners..’as Lily finished writing these words..

‘Lily! Lily!, this is your first day at school you dont wanna be late are you ready with your stuff?” Shouted mom from the kitchen. “Just a second,Im coming” closing her diary she came down with her bag and sat for breakfast.

She left early for school to check out the school library. She was in science stream though her mind and soul was poured into literature. When she arrived only few students were present she went directly to lend her favorite ‘fault in our stars’ she picked the corner seat right next to the window from where she could view the morning sky ,her forever companion blue sky in her lonely hours. She went through her favorite lines ......“pain demands to be felt’..

she was so immersed into the book that she forgot to check the time she remembered she had promised to meet her friends and she was late!!! With the book at one hand and her bag at another she ran.

“Topper huh! Must join the music club this year”, said Jimmy to his best friend Sabin while passing through the school corridor while Lily was hurrying to meet her friends at the entrance gate.

Thud!! Shoulders banged and her book fell on the ground. “ Are you ok?” A familiar gentle voice was heard with a mesmerizing eyes staring at the hurried Lily. Confused Lily stuttered “ I-I-Im sorry..” then again ran away.

“Lily!! Late again! were you lost in your own world!?Cried Arin. “Enough Arin let her take a break” exclaimed Youmi.

Youmi and lily were in the same building because they were in same science department but Arin was an art student and her department was two blocks away from the science department. They separated to attend their classes.

Youmi entered her class and saw seats filled with the majority of boys, because she was confident and didn’t care about the stereotypes so she didn’t care more and sat on the first bench at the corner seat. Like an ASMR show whispering and noises started. Out of curiosity Youmi asked one of the boys what was the matter? Pointing to a handsome and tall student explained that he was entrance topper and will be joining same class as them.

During the break Lily, Arin and Youmi met at the school cafeteria. “Have you heard the popular YouTube singer THE IRIS attends the same school as us and he is in science department, he hadnot exposed his identity until now. I also heard that he is the school topper.” informed Arin,Whispering and teasing “Lily! aren’t you happy to know that your crush attends the same school as you?!”. Stunned and blushing Lily replied, “shut up! I told u not to say the word CRUSH out loud. I just admire his voice thats all nothing more. (Pouting) Arin defended “ I was whispering I bet not even the ants heard what I said about your....putting hands on Arin’s mouth to stop saying anything further (she was about to say the word crush again) said Youmi “thanks for the info and Let me add one more,coincidentally he is in my class”, surprised Lily and Arin dropping her slice of bread from her mouth, “Youmi ! You are yummy!”.

End of the classes.. “lets meet at the basketball court and have a round before we head for home”excited Jimmy said. “Its the first day at school lets just go home we’ve got tomorrow,” said Sabin. “Live as if its your last, dont you know that said one of Sabin’s new friend Hira. “bro plz just one game”, requested Jimmy. “Ok fine just one game” Sabin said. “You Get the ball and we’ll get some guys to play.” Holding the ball Sabin was waiting for his friends. One of the guy who was focused in his physics book bumped into Sabin and the ball dropped from his hand...

Lily was waiting for Arin and Youmi when a ball came rolling towards her. “The second encounter” smiled Sabin.

“Iris” saying outloud Lily felt a strange feeling of happiness knowing that the one whom she admired so much was standing infront of her was overwhelmed to konw he remembered her from morning but she was afraid to let her heart out she didn’t like others knowing how she really felt yet a strange feeling clouded her mind and body to encounter a stranger yet so familiar and she was stoned. She didn’t let other words out except the ‘ IRIS’ and again she ran away in search of her friends.

“What a strange girl! Why always in hurry?” said Sabin. “What’s the matter?” asked Hira from behind. “Nothing,some hurricane girl” smiled Sabin. “Lets go buddies”Jimmy brought a bunch of other guys and they went on to play the game.

Back at home Lily sits on her study table and take out her precious diary put it on her right side of the desk infront of the study lamp and her small two pots of succulents were placed in the midde with piled up motivational books and atop lied BLUE MIMOSA. She has always preferred the window side so her desk was right infront of the window through which wind blew blowing the dream catcher.

The setting was quiet and peaceful to make her go through her feelings and went on writing; “surprise turns of events you never know what life has to offer I guess u have the final say in what u shall take and what you shall to ; after just an overnight u happen to encounter someone you really wished to meet but when the time came you walked away. Iris is a singer whom you’ve been listening to and admire alot but why run away?! I guess im not ready to open up Ive alway preferred a quiet life listening to his music in a quiet way :( or :)

Back at school in every classes an announcement was made through the speaker placed above the whiteboard eveyone hyped up to join new clubs lead by the students committee.Lily was never interested in things that would sound overcrowded but suddenly thought “which club will he join; is it the music club? If so shall I join too?” A swirling wind coming from the big window opposite to her sit hit her face and she was awaken from her day thoughts.

“U can be part of the organizing team dont miss out all the fun just relax and be part of something new” suggested Youmi taking a full bowl of dumplings and a coke from the school cafeteria “and dont make yoursef cry in the future remembering that your days at high school was regretful” teased Arin carrying sausages with fried rice. All took their seats “ alright I will consider it” taking a spoonful of spaghetti mixed with spinach and tofu.

Since they break was not over they went for a walk in the school ground.

“That was a perfect shootout!” Shouted Jimmy in happiness. “Since you are this good join us in the basketball team” asked Hira. “Ive already promised Jimmy that I will join him in the music club” said Sabin both taking a seat “but we can hangout and play during the breaks” taking a sip of water from the bottle taken from his bagpack. “ what are you talking about?” curious Jimmy asked. “We were just saying that you’re too loud” said Sabin pretending to be annoyed. “We just won the game that was my victorious scream ok!” Jimmy defended himself. “Oo\~kay Enough of your victory, lets go” said Hira and walked away shoulder by shoulder followed by Sabin carrying his bagpack at the right side of his shoulder.

Arin in the middle, youmi and lily in her both sides were walking side by side thats when Jimmy and Hira passed by them. “That’s Jimmy and Hira they’re my classmates and I heard Jimmy and Sabin are childhood buddies. Jimmy is never tired of praising Sabin and I heard they are both joining the music club” informed Youmi looking at Lily. “I think I will join the drama club what’s say guys?” said Arin.

Sabin passed by Lily like a swift breeze that’s when lily decided, “ I’ll join in”. Unanswered Arin said “finally! The flower has blossomed!”. “Not yet Arin” said lily “ if Im joining Youmi has to join too u have to be part of the organizing team too and I heard we have to go through selection round to be part of the team because this team takes in charge of the events and keep all the clubs organized and I cant do this alone you have to help me.” “ Im up for you” agreed Youmi and three of them sat down in a bench. “What about me ? im still unanswered; the drama club” stood up from the bench with both hands on her waist expecting answers. “Absolutely right choice!” exclaimed both youmi and lily together.

“You are permitted to join any of the club but dont lose your focus from study and get lower grades or else you will be at disadvantage” said Miss Nina a biology teacher who had straight long hair slided back and looked pretty in her usual kurtha in the lily’s last class of the day. “Yes Miss Nina” altogether. “This is the End of the class see you in the next class” saying this she made her exit from the class.

The meet up was decided at the entrance gate of Youmi Arin and lily after the first day of school was kind of chaotic to meet just anywhere. “Way back home” said Arin who was waiting for Lily with youmi. “Im on time right” smiled Lily.

As they passed through the gate lily noticed that Sabin was right infront of them. “Lets go” a voice was heard from behind it was no other but Jimmy. Jimmy and sabin were walking right infront of them and all the way to the skybridge YAL were walking behind them. From there SJ and YAL took different routes to their stations.

lily in her usual self in her usual place at home “ walking together but a total stranger,

Familiar voice but total silence,

Alas! separated by the fate..”
