I opened my wardrobe to get dressed up but there wasn't a single dress in there which wasn't new and branded. I still remember when I used to go shopping with mom and Riya, I had always wanted to buy branded clothes, now that I have them all I want to wear my old simple clothes which mom bought for me. I was feeling so broke. I just want to return back to them. just one day and I have started missing them to such an extent that I don't want to live anymore if I don't get to live with them. I took a deep breath and chose the most simple dress I could. I got changed up and headed downstairs.

as soon as I entered the living room everyone started looking in my direction. I sat on the couch quietly. I looked at every single being present in the room. "don't you think you owe me an explanation?"I finally broke the silence. " Tisha, we know our faults... we don't have any explanation. we know daddy and mommy have really hurt you. will please forgive us? will you give us a chance? we are ready to fulfil all your wishes just stay with us. we will not stop helping them." said my biological dad. I kept silence for a few seconds with a cold gaze at them. "Mr Oberoi, you still have face to call yourself my dad after abandoning me. Not only that, you even separated me from people I love. do you think I'm heartless? I feel like I'm just a toy for you to play with whenever you want to. Now that I have decided to be with you people, I have my conditions. if you don't fulfil them..." he agreed to it before I could even complete my sentence. "my conditions are......." I was about to announce but my 'father' interrupted " anything as long as are you willing to stay". I didn't say anything and was about to go out for a walk in the small garden made in our colony, mom stopped me, "you haven't eaten anything since morning, may I get something for you to eat?" "I don't have much appetite" I replied and left for a walk.

earphone placed in my ears, I quietly sat on a bench in the corner of the garden watching children playing. a small boy came towards me following his ball but suddenly stumbled upon a stone and fell down. he started crying in discomfort. I went to him and kneeled. "offo! don't touch your wound. let your sister clean it up for you. you such a brave boy..... I know you won't cry, will you? let your sister treat your wound and it won't hurt anymore." i tried to comfort him. till the time i was done with his wound, his elder brother came looking for him. "Jason! I was gone for a minute and look you have already hurt yourself.." I started laughing at him while patting Jason. " how can there be someone so damn cute like you on this earth!" I continued. " hello, I'm jake, Jason's elder brother. we are from America. thanks for taking care of him just now." jake said. " your welcome. I'm Tisha. hope we get along well." I introduced myself. "I'm sure we will!" both of us started laughing. "so....you are new here?" he asked. soon my heart got heavy with sorrow but i controlled myself from breaking apart and replied "yup". I got stuck in my thoughts. " everything...alright?" maybe jake noted the change in facial expressions but i just nodded.

"since you are new here, may I have the pleasure to show you around?" asked Jake. "sure, thank you." I accepted his offer which is quite unusual. "sister, Jason will accompany sister as well." Jason said with such an adorable face that I couldn't help but laugh in agreement. "haha! sure...sure". " would you like to go to the clubhouse first or to the swimming pool?" Jake asked me. "pool first!" I replied. "let's go!" jake said.

"here we are!" Jason announced in excitement. His cuteness made us laugh again. we were now standing in front of an adult's swimming pool which was separated from kid's pool by a wall. "hmm...not bad!" I commented "I know right! at least we get to see hotties." jake replied to me while winking at me. this made me laugh even more. "seriously! we don't have to worry about dying alone anymore now." this made even Jason laugh. I adore him so much. "your brother is so cute jake.....I wish I had one like him." I couldn't help but praise. " hey! hey! can't you even look at me once?!" jake complained while making a cute puppy face. I started looking at him up to down and started to examine. "umm....your okay as well" I commented. "what?! just okay?! you are so heartless!" jake complained and all of us burst into a laugh. To be honest, jake looks quite good as well. toned body, shiny hairs styled properly and a pair of beautiful blue eyes......whatever! all of us sat on the bench watching people passing by. I got deep into my thoughts which jake noticed. " broke up with boyfriend, huh?" he asked "hah! I haven't even got one and you are making me break up before itself. lol!" I replied. " brother, if you don't make a move now, then I'll. then don't start complaining about me snatching your girl." Jason said. this made me blush so hard that my cheeks turned all red. I started laughing to avoid awkwardness. "shut up! if you talked nonsense again I will send you back." jake scolded Jason which made me laugh even more. "do you still want a brother like him?!" jake said in a sarcastic tone. I started laughing again. this time Jason made a puppy towards me which made me laugh even more. I patted his head and got up from the bench and suddenly two muscular men stood in front of me. " miss, it's getting late madam is calling you back." one of them spoke to me. "excuse me? I don't think I know you" I was a bit confused. " oh! sorry miss. we forgot to introduce ourselves. I'm Paul and this is Harshit. we are your bodyguards appointed by Mr.Oberoi." this made me dumbfounded. I kept looking at them for a minute. " what the........." before I could complete the sentence jake tried to guess "fuck?" "no, I was going to say what the heck" I corrected him. "lol" jake started laughing. I took my phone out to confirm if they were really appointed by my so-called dad.

"hmm.....done" I hung up the call with Mr.Oberoi. I stood silent for a minute then finally spoke up."talk to Mr Oberoi. He has something to tell you." Harshit looked at Paul and agreed to me after Paul nodded at him. He gave a call to 'dad' and whispered something in paul's ear. Both of them nodded at me. "don't you dare betray me or you will know the consequences of it." I said to them. both of them nodded at me again.

"I think I should go now but it was fun meeting you guys. hope to see you again." I said to Jake and Jason. "that's a sure thing sister!" Jason said and jake nodded. I smiled at them and headed towards my house. having bodyguards around was making me feel a bit uncomfortable. It's like someone is following you around. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time to be treated like that, unlike vrishabh who has always been in the spotlight. this rich people's world.......so complicated. I kept sighing which made Paul ask me if there is anything which is making me worried.... "miss, is there anything bothering you?" "nope, and you don't have to follow these formalities while we are alone. " I replied. "thank you miss Tisha." Harshit said. "just Tisha" I said. "umm....okay Tisha," he said with a cute smile on his face.

"what took you so long? come with me, dinner is ready." vrishabh said as soon as I entered the house. "hmm." I just nodded and followed him to the dining table. I sat there quietly. seeing both of us alone vrishabh took this chance to talk to me. "Tisha, I understand you are going through a lot. it's a huge shock and whatever they did is really shameful. I understand your pain but always remember I'm always there for you no matter what." he said. this brought tears in my which I have been controlling for a long time. I nodded at him and wiped my tears.

After having dinner, I went back to my room and sat in the corner of the balcony. I started playing my flute. listening flute is so calming, it's like it emits positive energy. it is so soothing no matter what song you play on it. no matter which language, the song is of. i closed my eyes and started playing the song 'Teri mitti' which means your soil. I was so into it enough for god all my pain and my worries. I didn't feel like stopping. I felt I'm taking new birth. I remembered how mommy and Riya used to enjoy flute. they were so proud of it and used to make me play it in front of the guests. It made me feel weird and good at the same time. Vrishabh came and sat beside me waiting for me to finish playing and hugged me as soon as I finished playing. I sat quietly there without resisting . I sat there without a single expression on my face.
