Do you wonder everyday what it would be like without things like friends, family, love, support, money, an actual reason to live?

Well I have, actual right now I have none of these things and I try my best to make the most of everything happening to me right now....

But how can I? With no food, shelter, family, loved ones or friends? I don't even have any relatives because my parents didn't really like getting in touch with our families and especially didn't like us getting in touch with them so my nuclear family is about all that I had left... well until they all died in an unfortunate car crash.

It was an accident they all say. My name is California, I am 16 years old and I am old enough to live by myself in America and I for one do not think it is an accident because no one else got hurt, it was just them. Do you think it is an accident?

I live on the streets of America in a small dark street very close to the road leading out of America. All I have is a small box of all the stuff I was able to pack from my old house in 60 seconds, yes 60 seconds!! My stupid landlord gave me only 1 minute to pack my stuff and get out of the house and anything left would be burnt to ashes. Considering my parents and siblings are dead, I was thinking he (landlord) was going to give me enough time to settle and get a job, seriously, because my families corpse are still in the hospital waiting to be collected but I can't do that because I don't have money to pay for when they tried to save my families lives and also money for all the coffins and burial ground, I even had to quit school because I didn't have money for school fees, my parents were initially very poor and spent every money on education and welfare and when they were going to pay my school fees, they died the day earlier and all their accounts were immediately frozen so no money goes in or out which is very terrible for me and like I stated earlier I have no friends or family to help me in this situation so I am as alone as a lone bird.

I would have gotten a job and made a living for myself but I dropped out and I don't have a diploma so no high paid job and the lowly paid jobs don't need new employees and the government doesn't help me in the least bit way. So as you see in the movies or even in stories I am going to start my business from scratch without any help or support from anyone, I am going to grow and I am going to grow real good, I will reach the top no matter what, I will get there, I will reach the best of my abilities, I will be number one and deal with the landlord that took away my memories and the person who took away my happiness. So... who's with me?

What a buzz kill, I literally have absolutely nothing to do.. well of course I have nothing to do considering the unfortunate life I have been living for the past one week.

Seriously, this is America and I am a 16 year old girl living on the street, how come child services haven't come to get me yet, even if I am too old to be adopted but at least give me a home for some time but that is what you get when you rely to much on others to help you, I am rudely interrupted by this man who stands in front of me.

"Hi, I am Jackson, nice to meet you." he says with a very cheerful smile on his face, trying to not get lost in thoughts I quickly respond "Hi, what may I do for you?" he chuckles and says "You have a nice voice." I smile and say "Thanks for the compliment but really, what can I do for you?"

He gets really serious and says "I saw you one time at my friends office when you were looking for a job but didn't get any so I checked for where you were and came looking for y-" I cut him of saying "I am surprised people know were I am and my condition and still decide not to help." he quickly says "If you'd let me finish, I was trying to say I have a job offer for you that pays well and you have a home to stay at and food to eat, it just depends on if you take the job so.... what do you say?" I quickly jumped up and said "Sure but it depends on the job."

He says "Cool, all you to do is be a nanny for a friend of mine and take care of all of his children, so deal or no deal?" and hesitate to answer but still say "Deal" I am so happy, I could jump to the sky and come back down but obviously I couldn't "My name is California by the way but you can just call me Cali." he smiles and says "Nice to meet you Cali but shall we get a move on, we don't have much time."

I looked super shocked "We are going now?" I asked a little confused and furiously shouted back "Yes of course or do you want the world to wait for their royal majesty!"

Okay I was starting to not like this guys attitude and how he was too impatient, believe it or not I was already sick of him.

"I believe you are not deaf, get a move on." he says. I felt like slapping him so good that I may actually release all the anger the boiled in me ever since my family died in the 'accident' but I pull myself together because without him, I wouldn't be able to have a job so this was practically my last shot.

We arrived and the big house, it was like the biggest mansion in the world plus the biggest villa in the world, it was that big, my mouth was wide open and I couldn't care less if a fly flew in my mouth because this house deserved biggest house in the century, I was once again cut of from my thoughts when Jackson said "Try to look professional for once in your life." Seriously this guy was getting on my last nerves, I can't wait for him to get lost.

"Hey dude, your name is too long so I would be calling you Jack from now, can I? Sure thanks." I said without waiting for a reply.

"Who is that guy? Father or son?" I asked and without letting him answer again I said "Oh! So father then." He looked so handsome and young for a 31 year old man. Well actually I don't know his age, I just guessed.

"My name is Josh Henderson but you can call me Josh, my wife is Leila and she is in the kitchen right know, I hope you love children" I say "Thank you Josh and I do like children" he smiles and says "Good so come with me and let me introduce you to them then we can talk about the work time and salary."

We walk inside the extremely big  house and he leads me to the living room where a bunch of kids are having fun. "Kids line up and introduce yourself." They all got up and started introducing themselves.

"Hi, My name is Kelly, I am 16 years old."

"Hi, My name is John and my twin sister Jane is sleeping on the couch over there." He pointed at were she was "We are 15 years old, Jane is older than me by a few minutes, pleasure to meet you." That boy is a sweetheart, I know I am going to like him very much.

"I am Maria, 14 years old." She gave a gigantic smile and I smiled back.

"I am Lacy and my twin is Lucy." She pointed to beside her, they were both very beautiful. "We are 13 years old."

Last one was a very small boy "I am Lucas, 10 years old, nice to meet you." He gave me a very big hug and ran to continue his game.

We had a long talk and discussed everything. Jackson just left and they showed me the room everyone stays in and I saw the three little babies: Lexi, Luke and  Lara. They are so cute.

I went to my room, unpacked the little stuff I had left, I had a very long shower and went to sleep.
