It was the year 3045 where war raged on from the last ten years. The Levithan Kingdom and the Florres Kingdom have been exchanging fatal damages to each other yet none refused to back down nor call a truce for at least a day. Everyday both sides lost more than 800,000 soldiers, meaning that their families won't even get the chance to give the soldiers a proper burial. Diseases were one of the most dangerous weapons on the battlefield, they were easily transmitted and hard to detect.
The trenches were flooded whenever it rained and the scent of feces from the soldiers were deadly enough to knock out someone. Rats were another problem, they would run around the trenches, even jumping across soldiers to get to their destination. However, what was most disgusting about rats was that they ate dead bodies. Those who died in the trenches or on the battlefield, they would be eaten by rats and other creatures.
Gunpowder was probably one of the most expensive items sold in the black market during that time, soldiers needed as much as possible for their weapons. Swords and arrows wouldn't do as much damage as guns and cannons.
It was only until last year, 3044 when military leaders on both sides have come up with ideas of fighting. They needed human-weapons, meaning that they needed a human that was unstoppable even against guns and other weapons, something that could destroy a whole city or even country. Yes, that was what the military needed...
Since then, orphans and children living off the streets were taken to orphanages by strangers. While some were sold in auctions, 90 percent of the children accepted were from the orphanages since they didn't require spending money. Furthermore, if children bought from the auction die while experimenting, it would then be a total waste of money.
After being "adopted", the children would be brought to the bases where they are immediately experimented on by scientists. Also, by the way, they aren't given a shot of anesthetic or put to sleep, the children would have to be awake all the time in order to make the chance of succeeding higher. 100,000 over children were experimented on and none of them have ever survived the horrible experiments. The pain was unbearable and there were countless side effects. The closest one to succeeding, who had the ability to destroy anything he looked at, died after the seventh experiment.
Though countless of failures, the military leaders showed no sign of stopping the experiments. Their goal was to have at least over a hundred of human weapons that could destroy their designated targets. Military leaders have visited over hundreds of orphanages and were down to the last 20 orphanages, meaning that there must be at least one that will succeed. Or so they hoped...

Screams rang throughout the base, the scent of burning flesh was enough to warn others to escape. They were under attacked. By who, they didn't know. It was past midnight and everyone was sound asleep, not giving a care about the world until a loud sound of explosion awoke them all. It was then the sound of shouts and screams of anguish that pushed the soldiers out of their tents. Before they could barely process what was happening, a blinding light came crashing down, causing another explosion.
“What the ****?" One of the military leaders, who went by the name of Rick, cussed as he rushed to see what was causing the explosions. His eyes widened at the sight of a young boy.
The boy's face wasn't identifiable because of the distance he was standing; however, he was wearing a partially torn shirt and pants that were covered in mud and blood.
“That's a little kid out there." Rick murmured to himself. "Is he the one causing the explosions?"
Before he was given the chance to think, the space in front of him exploded, pushing him backwards into other soldiers. He grunted at the impact, his hands were already burnt by the scorching heat.
“Dammit." Rick snarled, his eyes were full of anger. "That's the cause of our problems right now? Pathetic."
Rick ran over to one of the machine guns, aiming at the boy. Good-bye, kid. He thought to himself and opened fire. It was about ten seconds before he finally stopped. Rick smirked to himself, it was too easy. Just as he was about to walk away to check on the soldiers, a loud boom called him back. He squinted his eyes as the explosion as the smoke was making it hard for him to see, when it faded away his eyes widened. It can't be, he thought to himself. How is that possible?
The kid was still standing on the same spot like nothing had happened. Sweat dripped down from Rick's forehead nervously, anticipating the kid's next move. When the kid didn't move, he slowly made his way towards the machine gun, reloading the lost bullets. Seeing that the kid wasn't doing anything, Rick silently laughed to himself. This time he would definitely finish off the kid. However, before he could fire, a bright light flashed before his eyes. The last thing he heard before blacking out was the sound of soldiers screaming. And then darkness...

“Calm down, Rika. He'll arrive anytime soon." A boy no older than fourteen said in annoyance as he watched his younger sister pace back and forth.
“Are you sure, Jace? He won't die, won't he? Won't he?" Rika chewed on her fingernail nervously, it had been at least a week since the two have seen their "brother."
Jace rolled his eyes. This was the fifth time that she had been repeating the same question over and over again like a parrot, or more like a broken record. He shoved the dried meat into his mouth and bit down.
“Of course, he will. I mean, it is him. No one will be able to kill him. I'm confident in him."
These words seemed to have comforted Rika and she returned to her seat next to Jace. Jace handed her a mug of warm milk and she gratefully took it. Suddenly, the sound of gates open made Rika immediately set the mug down. She stood up, her eyes twinkling in excitement.
“That's him! He's back!" She squealed as she rushed over before the gates to await him.
Jace swallowed and sighed. I hope he isn't covered in blood like last time, he thought, Rika nearly fainted at the sight of him. He pushed himself up and walked towards Rika. The faint silhouette of the boy made Rika dash towards him, throwing herself towards the boy, who easily caught her.
“You're back!" She smiled at him which he tried his best to reciprocate a smile. "Welcome back, brother."
Jace walked towards the boy, staring at him for a few seconds before wrapping his arms around the boy. Tears came out of his eyes, he already told himself he wouldn't smile but it seemed like his eyes failed him.
"Welcome back... Eden."
