STELLA'S POV

I was freaking out big time! They kidnapped Kane Everdale! I coughed the musty air was horrible. I could barely see anything in the pitch, black room, but I know what I could see Kane's electric blue eyes. They bore into me as they sent daggers at me. I was dreaming of James killing my mom. I could feel myself still in the exact place. I sobbed hard, and loud there was no stopping these nightmares. I don't know what happened later, but they went away. I woke up later expecting to be cold, and heartless - like everyday. I wake up in strong, muscled arms, I woke up warm. The minute she was gone my mom yelled "why did you do that?" At James. He growled and grabbed her forcily "let go of her you bastard! " I scream. "Don't talk to lmyour father like that," he snapped. "Your not my father! " I scream. "Stella just don't say anything," mom pleaded her eyes full of worry. What was going on? "Get in the house Stella, " James said. "No," I stomp my feet. He lets go of my mom and comes toward me, "what did you say?!" Don't get scared," NO." Crack! Jame's fist connected with my face, he punched me repeatly. I couldn't fight back "get off of her," my mom pleaded. She tried to pull him off of me,I screamed blood spraying everywhere. He grabbed me and mom by the hair and threw us in the house. And thats the creepiness I saw in his eyes when he married my mom.

After that I never spoke to Lacy or anybody again.

~FLASHBACK OVER~

I sat there frozen remembering the memory. "Whats wrong Stella?" Kane pleaded. He was touching my face and I realized I was crying. I forgot all about then, that I couldn't love. I just wanted to be held in arms sobbing.

KANE'S POV

"Hey, Stell. Babe?" I lighty shook her awake. Her hazel eyes slowly opened, I was worried she would freak out on me. Like she sometimes did. "Mhhmm," was all she said. I smile, and slowly kiss her cheek. She flinched and I controlled myself from grunting. You have to understand what she's been through Kane. Go slow I calm myself down "I'm sorry Kane," Stella said her voice sounded apolegetic. "Its ok." I tousle her hair and she presses against me slightly shivering. "Kane? Why are you still wearing your nikes? " Stella asked. I shrugged "because it reminds me of Megan." Stella looked at me "who is Megan?" Her voice sounded like I knew it. "That's my sister. The one I like to pick on." I said I sigh. "But now I miss her."

"I thought you had no shame? What happened to your ego? "

I clench my jaw, "look I don't want to talk about it." "I'm sorry I just think its sweet that you miss her." Under her breath I heard her say "not like anybody misses me."

"What? " The door slips open ruining our moment, Jame's appears. He's caring a sharp curved knife, he roughly grabs Stella. And I control the urge to crack him. Ignoring me he drags her down the stairs hearing her whimper made me feel helpless. Especially since I couldn't do anything. **** you guys, I was going to get Stella out of here.

MEGAN'S POV

I shiver as the cops go searching the house. Maddie, one of the maids keeps her arms wrapped around me. I cry softly as she comforts me. The thought of ever seeing that video again- scared the shit out of me. When in the morning I went to get the mail, I spotted a fat box for RAY EVERDALE. The box was creepy and I couldn't help but notice that the package looked like a tape. I popped it into the old tv vcr. Which we didn't use because everything was so high technology. I almost choked at the image that was shown. Kane! Was what I cried out. Him getting beaten to death for ransom. Me screaming and sobbing is what blew my cover, Maddie came running in. "Whats wrong Megan?" She gasped at what she saw on the video too. She quickly ran to the vcr popping the tape out and grabbed me. "Its ok. Megan." She soothed me down. And quickly Janne called the police, I couldn't sleep. Scared seeing the masked face haunting me, realizing that could've been me. I don't know who Maddie called but next thing you know Nick and Shane were There. "Are you alright? " Nick asked. I couldn't tell if he was playing I was not in the mood. "Can you calm her down? I'm going to get hot chocolate and cookies. " Maddie asked Nick. He nodded, and grabbed me pulling me into a big bear hug. "I miss him," I sobbed. "I do too," Nick and Shane said.

I close my eyes I just hope he was okay.
