Yes mom, I know it’s late. I promise I will come visit you tomorrow after work. I swear! But, I can’t come visit you when I have late classes, like tonight. I’ll visit you next week I promise. I didn’t expect today to be so late.
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
How about you quit your job at the gym and come stay with me? *laughs*
Mia
Mom. You know I need this job, I have been working at this for 4 years now. I can’t just give up like that! We both know we need the money, since dad passed away last year.
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
I—I know... it’s just I don’t want to lose you like I lost him.
Mia
Mom—*looks straight ahead at the road sternly*
Grace (Mia’s Mom)

*Frowns, and approaches stop light*
-Mia is in the middle of passing the stoplight as a car speeds forward on the opposite end from her-
-She attempts to avoid the cars collision but fails, and instead collides with the car smashing into the side of her car. Making her slam her head against the front of the car forcing her body out of her seatbelt and through the windshield and out of the car-
*Mia yells in pain as she has her back against the pavement and her conscious fades in and out. The last thing she hears is the faint sounds of a man running toward her with blood along the sides of his hands and sirens in the background*
Man
Miss!!! Mi— help is on — way h— just stay with me—.
*Mia’s conscious fades out and the world turns black*

*Mia looks around the room panicked* W-What’s going on?!
*Mia’s Mom places her hand on her daughters*
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
Mia sweetheart, how are you feeling?
Mia
I’m fine, my head hurts though... Wha—
*She looks past her mom to see a man dressed in black watching her*
*His eyes narrow as they make contact, almost daring her to open her mouth and try to say something to him*
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
Mia darling? What are you looking at? *she turns around looking at the exact spot he was standing*
Mia
*She suddenly realizes her mom can’t see him* Mom I’m quite tired right now and would like to sleep a bit more... Can I talk to you tomorrow?
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
...Are you sure Mia?
Mia
*smiles weakly* I’ll be fine Mom I promise.
Grace (Mia’s Mom)
Alright, I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Call me if you need me.
She stands up hugs her daughter goodbye and walks out, as the man in black moves away from the door and proceeds to move toward Mia.
*The doors closes, and the man is two feet away from her bed*

*He loosens his grip and looks at her*
