PROLOGUE

“Why don’t you just stop bothering her she can’t change who she is”. “Shut up she’s a fat girl why couldn’t she be a little like my daughter”. “Huh how dare you say that she is you daughter to Jackson”. “She is not my daughter she is just a random orphanage girl I won’t ever take her as my daughter”.

Every Year the same thing happens over and over again. “Wo hoo, let’s party”. Every Christmas eve my grandparents come to spend the day with us, only for that day says my dad I have to be in my room till pass 7 am which was the time they will usually leave. I never got to see my grandparents only through the windows.

“My sister is the only one that has pictures of her on the counters”.

On picture day my parents payed for her picture but I didn’t get to pay for mine.

My parents say that it’s really important to keep all pictures of me away. My sister was the only one who got to have birthday parties and friends over. She will always sneak out of her room and visit me at night.

She will always eat with me when my dad told me to skip dinner. The good thing my sister wasn’t like Anastasia un Cinderella.

Even tho she did avoid me when she had her friends where over she still loved me, she was pretty much the person I trust the most.

Ugh.

Is she literally making another party again. This literally the third time this week. Even tho my sister was nice with me she would sometimes be way to annoying when she had parties over and our parents where out of town. Even tho I wanted her to keep it down I couldn’t do anything about it I wasn’t even aloud to leave my room.

“Umm Ana Chan you have a call”.

“Huh Ugh ignore it let’s have some

fun come on dance with me”.

All I could do is put some earbuds on and tried to sleep. “Oh no my battery is almost over”. “But my sister has the charger over at her room”.

I had no choice but to get the charger from her room. I didn’t like the type of music she had. It was pretty much country-ish rock.

Which I didn’t like. I decided to wear my black sweater and put my hoodie on just in case something or someone where to see me, they wouldn’t suspect anything. “Well here I go”. I opened the door and went over to her room. “Know where is that charger”

I looked everywhere, where could she possibly have it. I put one hand in my pocket and the other on my head. It was pretty weird I couldn’t find the charger but then I though of the living room remembering she had a party and she wasn’t stupid enough to leave her phone dead.

“Ugh did she literally had to have her phone charging in the middle of damn party”.

This time I had no other choice then to go downstairs.

I went half way downstairs.

My sister saw, me so I signal her to come.

“Huh Xian Mi what do you want”.

“I need the charger I let you borrow”.

“Huh can’t my friend is borrowing it”. “What but I need it”. “Please just let this one pass please”. “Fine but you owe me”. “Thank you”.

“Ugh, know what do I do I can’t seem to sleep”. After two hours it seemed to get quiet and everything seemed to be over so I decided to go downstairs.

It was pretty dark so it was a little hard to walk since my phone was dead.

I went over to the kitchen to fetch some water.

“Huh Ana Chan wake up what’s that noice”

And out of no where I noticed the party wasn’t over just yet…

“Huh just ignore it go back to sleep”

The good thing they all went back to sleep and I was able to go to my room with my charger.

It was another normal day,the usual would happened daily.

As I got to my room, I was pretty bored I mean who wouldn’t be.

Staying in my room was hard especially since there was really nothing to do, my sister and I communicated a lot I was so happy to have a sister that wasn’t like Anastasia’s in Cinderella.

There where so many things I had to go through but i don’t know why god decided to get me this life, Watching mangas was all I had to do since I really didn’t have anything to do.

Meanwhile...

“Xian Mi since we wanted you to get a better study education we decided to let you go to school”

After all the years I been living I never though my parents would say this, giving me a chance to study in a school was the best thing I ever heard.

“Huh”

My sister didn’t seem to be happy at all.

“Me and your dad decided that it would be the best for you To move out while you study in school”

“No mother you can’t do this to her”

“She deserves to go to live with us just like I do and make friends”

“No it’s okay, I rather study then suffering a life inside with y’all, I’ll pack my bags”

After all. . .

People don’t really change after all.

My life couldn’t get any worst, I didn’t mind as much know that I think about it, I’m actually happy my family gave me a chance to go to school.

My parents drove me to the apartments and had some guys help me with my stuff, as I got off, Ana Chan hugged me as she was told to get back in the car.

They left without saying goodbye, as they left the guys put my stuff on the ground and left. So I had no choice but to carry all my stuff alone, as I walked inside I had delivered a key to a room. It confused me a bit because the key didn’t fit on any door.

“Hey you, what are you doing”

“Huh”

And that’s when I met him..

I turned around I bump into him on accident which made me drop some boxes.

“Oh I’m sorry, im so sorry, well u see I’m new here and I—“

“Shh, I didn’t ask your probably Gonna be my new neighbor which is infront right there” he said as he put opened his door.

“Umm thank—

Before I could say anything he slammed the door at my face.

“Rude” I said in my mind as I picked up the boxes and decided to walk inside my new home.

I laid in bed and decided to think for a while, as I played Low-Fi in my room and read books, for the first time I actually dealt relief and peaceful. I stayed up so late that I didn’t even mind looking at the time.

“Beep”

“Beep”

“Beep”

“Oh no ima be late”

I took a shower, changed and ran out. Once I got outside I noticed it was 6am in the morning and I had overreacted.

As I walked inside I had a feeling someone was watching me but there wasn’t no one there.

“Giggled”

“Stupid little girl but cute” he said as he looked away from his door.

Later...

“Ana Chan, come on let’s go”

“Actually girls ima stay y’all can go without me I have someone to meet”

“Um okay see u at school then”

As I walked off I trip into Ana Chan.

“A..Ana Chan” I cried as I ran towards her.

We talked for a while then said goodbye to each other since we went to different school.

My sister went to a private school while me on the other hand had no choice but to go to a public school.
