Ms. Takahashi, we have arrived.
I looked away from the window and took my headphones off, unsure of what the chauffeur said from the blasting music. The sight of a big mansion stood before us and I didn't have to wait for an answer. It was all too familiar.
How could I forget the place I grew up with?
I tapped my sleeping brother’s shoulder.
Seiji
*groans* What do you want?
Hana
We’re here, you dumbass.
As if on cue, the door on my side opened, revealing a well-suited butler assisting me to get out of the car. Two more butlers grabbed our suitcases and once I got out, I stood by the giant double wooden doors and finally got a better look of the place.
Everything remained just like in my memory, except there were now colorful flowers and wall cracks. The place looked more lively than before.
The double door towering me suddenly opened, revealing the inside of the Mansion.
Mrs. Takahashi
Hani! My dear!
I was pulled into a bone-cracking hug with my grandmother.
Mrs. Takahashi
It's so good to see you, dear. It's been years.
Hana
*chuckles* Indeed, grandma. I missed you so much.
Mrs. Takahashi
Is your brother with you?
Mrs. Takahashi
Ah, Seiji. You grew so well. You look just like your father now. *laughs*
Seiji
*smiles* Thank you, grandma.
I looked around the place and grabbed a random picture frame on the table. It was a beautiful lady and a cute little boy smiling. My finger unconsciously ran through the picture, Their faces radiated familiarity, although I have never seen them before. It felt weird.
Mrs. Takahashi
Mina, please bring my grandkids’ stuff to their bedrooms.
My head turned to the familiar name and saw a woman smiling with the other maids. It was the exact woman on the picture, except she was slightly older now.
She was too painfully familiar.
Mrs. Takahashi
Hani, my dear. Are you okay?
I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Hana
Ah, yes, grandma. *chuckles* Just... a little bit tired.
Mrs. Takahashi
Understandable. You and Seiji had a long tiring flight. I’ll prepare your favorite food for dinner.
Mrs. Takahashi
Of course! *laughs* How could I forget?
Hana
You’re the best, grandma.
Mrs. Takahashi
I know, I know. Now go take some rest.
I smiled and nodded as I lay my head on her shoulder, still staring at the boy in the picture frame.

*laughs* Just join me in the pool, loser.
Hana
No thanks. It's freezing
Seiji invited me to accompany him to swim and so I sat at the corner of the pool as we talked.
It was already dark and cold outside. I can never understand this dude sometimes.
Seiji
Huh? *peaks head above water*
OMG WHO’S DOG IS THIS?!?!
The dog sat beside me and rubbed his head on my shoulder.
Hana
*smiles*, Hi! what a cute dog you are.
I love dogs but I didn't know Grandma has one.
Seiji swam to the corner of the pool and rested his head over his two folded arms, smiling in amusement.
Seiji
*chuckles* She likes you.
Then suddenly the cute dog stood up and ran away.
I tried to call for him but he was already running towards someone, barking, and his tail still wagging. He got lifted by this “someone” and It made me look at the person’s face.
Haru
You dog, where have you been, eh? *laughs*
My heart suddenly beat fast for no reason.
Have I seen this person before?
Seiji
Who is that? *splints eyes* Oh wait, finally. Another dude in this household!
I coughed and quickly looked away. The blue-haired boy almost caught me staring.
Looking at my peripheral vision, the boy looked our way and slowly walked towards us,
I felt this surge of panic that made me suddenly jumped into the pool.

*wide eyes in surprise* HANA?!
Hana
*nervously chuckles* I changed my mind.
Seiji
*stares at her weirdly* You’re weird.
Hana
*mocks his voice and rolls eyes* You're so weird.
Seiji got off the pool and grabbed a towel to dry his hair.
Seiji
Hey, bro, you live here?
Haru
*smiles*, yes. I live here.
Seiji
*chuckles* Oh, cool! You must be our cousin? Or?
Haru
No. *laughs* My mother works in this place.
Seiji
*blinks eyes* I actually thought you were our cousin because you're very good-looking. Genes, you know? *laughs*

Anyway, my name is Seiji, and that girl over there that jumped into the pool out of nowhere *points at Hana* is my sister. *smiles*
I rolled my eyes at Seiji and smiled at the blue-haired boy
I may look calm but I was dying inside.

My name is Haru. *smiles*
Haru
Oh! *laughs and pets Cody’s head* This is my dog, Cody.
Seiji
Nice meeting you then, Haru. I hope we can hang out some times. * smiles*
The blue-haired boy placed the dog on the ground gently and it ran inside.
Haru
We’ll be going now. Nice meeting you both, Seiji and Hana. *smiles*
Haru’s face expression and voice slightly changed when he said my name.
Jeez. You’re just sleepy, Hana.
Seiji
I’ll be going inside too now, sis. You coming?
Hana
I’ll... follow in a minute
I sighed deeply and dipped my head under the cold water.
Why was I like that earlier?
I really need a proper sleep.
