It was a glorious and sunny day. Cherry blossoms floated down in numerous amounts and covered what was once a ground piled with snow.

On that blindingly beautiful day, Seung-Hee heartlessly turned her back from him. She glanced back after a few seconds and stared at his face, which drooped in sadness and disappointment.

The company employee, Hye-Soon called out for Seung-Hee, who seemed absent-minded as she recalled one of her nightmares.

A poisonous yet doll-like appearance stood out in a daze. She lowered her eyes, causing her long eyelashes to cover her cat-like eyes. Seung Hee then raised both her hands and massaged her temples.

Hye Soon nodded as if she understood.

Recently, the manager of an investment-connecting company contacted Seung Hee about their visit that was taking place today. However, Seung Hee couldn’t stop thinking about the dream from last night. The tone of it was so suspicious and strange.

Seung Hee hadn’t dreamt of this nightmare in a while. She thought that it had come and gone, but it seems that she was wrong. Usually, after she gets these nightmares, bad days seem to follow. She believes that these nightmares are due to her mixed luck; however, she wonders if it may be due to her state of mind. She can’t explain it, but she keeps getting these random feelings of anxiety

Seung Hee sighed as she leaned back against her chair.

Hye Soon replied as she then also sighed. With just a sigh, anxiety seemed to spread like an infection.

Seung Hee sat up from her chair and straightened her back to start working. Soon, the door of the office opened.

Seung Hee jumped up from her seat.

Seung Hee got up, walked around her desk, and guided Mr. Yang to the conference room before following inside.

Yang said quietly as he sat on one of the chairs in the room.

Seung Hee, sitting opposite of Yang, then replied.

Then she whispered

Because of Yang’s suspense, Seung Hee’s heart has become even more entrenched with anxiety.

A year and a half ago, Seung Hee started a company with only a capital of 30 million won. She established Twinkle Asset, a small asset management and tech service system operating company. But, before she established her business, Seung Hee got a job at a large company like everyone else at her age. However, Seung Hee was brighter than the rest. She had a deep desire to run her own business, and so she left the company and set up her own business. Since then, it had been running smoothly. The three coworkers that she had hired were happy also. Though they don’t have sizable salaries, they are very hopeful about the company’s growth.

Yang took a note out of his chest pocket and carefully pushed it in front of Seung Hee. Seung Hee’s brow furrowed as she read the note which contained the name of a resort in Gangwon-do, a room number, and a date.

Yang shook his head repeatedly. He felt that they were just wasting time arguing about this.

Yang hurriedly lowered his voice and tried to relax his tense body, worried that their conversation may leak out of the conference room

As Seung Hee kept pondering, Yang sighed and made another suggestion.

Seung Hee said this with a firm and robust tone. She was brimming with so much confidence and fierceness that it made Yang shiver.

Yang’s mood became bitter as he crumpled the note up and placed it back in his pocket.

Seung Hee said coldly.

Yang, who was now offended, barged out of the room

The three employees who were eavesdropping by the door quickly moved out of the way and became stiff as a meerkat while slowly turning towards Seung Hee. Their boss is a bit too fierce.

Seung Hee said this bitterly as she returned to her seat. She was still in a bad mood from her conversation with Yang. Seung Hee then saw mail on her desk. One was sent from the “Y University Business Administration Department. She opened it.

After reading the first line of the mail, Seung Hee didn’t read anymore and put it back in the envelope. She had never been to an alumni association, and she won’t start now, even if there will be no more after this one.

After she roughly threw away her mail, Seung Hee changed the name of the business plan in her computer’s document box to Twinkle Asset Business Plan Server 27. She tried so hard to sell it to her investors, but it failed. Seung Hee sighed bitterly as she put the document into the recycling bin before she got up from her seat.

She then places her corporate card on Hye Soon’s desk before walking out the door. Hye Soon, who was dying to know what was said in the conference room, followed behind Seung Hee.

Briefly, before this, the two other employees were imploring Hye Soon to ask Seung Hee about what had happened in the conference room. After all, Hye Soon was more straightforward than the others.

The employees of Twinkle Asset and Seung Hee were like blood brothers who shared life and death. They hid nothing from each other. Plus, Seung Hee thought it was better to tell them now before they start imagining weird things.

The suggestion from Yang echoed in Seung Hee’s mind. After Seung Hee had told Hye Soon what Yang said, Hye Soon’s face remained unwavering. After all, Hye Soon lacks in feelings of sympathy. Although she is talented and is a significant help to the company, she was just too cynical in stories such as these. To sum it all up, she didn’t care about other people or understand the feelings of others

Seung Hee then noticed that Hye Soon’s disappointment is not due to their loss of investment, but instead that Seung Hee is not seeking marriage.

Since she got all the information she needed, Hye Soon then went back inside the office ever so coolly

Last night’s dream added to Yang’s words. The two seemed to connect. This only made Seung Hee in a bitter mood.

Seung Hee walked to a restaurant near the company and stopped right in front of their glass wall to try to make herself look presentable while looking at her reflection.

Seung Hee was starting to feel bitter again. She hasn’t even passed the first page of her business plan in front of her investors yet.

Seung Hee grumbled over the past hour while she was trying to console herself. Then, Namsu, the father of Seung Hee, arrived at the restaurant.

Seung Hee pouted her lips together. Since she started living alone, she has only seen her dad three or four times a year. She has really been missing her father a lot.

Namsu smiled as he took a seat opposite of Seung Hee. He then stared at his daughter’s face.

Seung Hee was still a bit annoyed by the fact her father came an hour late, but his compliment lightened up her mood. Her father’s affectionate eyes proved to Seung Hee how truthful he was being.

Seung Hee questioned with a mischievous smile. However, Namsu, who usually laughs at times like these, kept his mouth shut tight. If Seung Hee had known what was going to happen next, she would have run out of that restaurant at that moment.

Soon, the food that Seung Hee had ordered from earlier was placed before them. Masu diligently out some of his share of meat onto Seung Hee’s spoon.

Seung Hee laughed. How could he pay if he’s tight on money? On the television that was slanted on the wall, it televised an interview from the parent of an actress. They were talking about how their daughter had to lend money to her parents due to complicated reasons

Seung Hee said this jokingly as she took numerous peeks at the TV to watch the ongoing interview. Namsu smiled, but he strangely didn’t laugh at the joke again.

Suddenly, Namsu put down his chopsticks. He was starting to look more serious. Seung Hee was now alert. A pang of anxiety shot through her chest. Namsu then told her a story.

Seung Hee’s eyes were now wide open.

Two hundred million won?!? That’s a lot of money.

Some people heard Seung Hee’s loud remark and were looking at them. However, Namsu continued his story.

Seung Hee pricked up her ears.

Namsu pulled the contract out of his bag that was placed next to him and then showed it to Seung Hee. A few sleek words in the middle of the contract drove Seung Hee into a state of shock.

– The two must get married before they turn 30.

Seung Hee’s hands trembled with anger. Twenty-three years ago, her father sold her for 200 million won, and she was only five years old at that time! How crazy can he be?

Seung Hee, who was seriously thinking about whether she should completely cut off communication with him, glared at her father.

Seung Hee stood before a large wall. It seemed to go on forever. It made Seung Hee recall the walls in Rome which she had only seen in pictures. Surrounded by all the high walls, the interior felt almost invisible. However, she felt confident in her skills to get around since she engraved the map of their house that her father had painted into her brain. He also saved one of their maid uniforms too that she was now wearing. However, she didn’t like how the skirt came along with the attire. Plus, it even showed her knees! Seung Hee grumbled. She doesn’t often wear skirts so she wasn’t used to it.

As she kept trying to adjust her skirt, her younger brother Seung Gyu looked anxiously at Seung Hee. Seung Gyu then glared at his father. He couldn’t believe he had to help them in this plan, but he was left with no other option.

Seung Gyu sighed at his father Namsu’s instructions.

Seung Hee left a dreadful will as she got out of the car.

With a few tears in her eyes, Seung Hee then entered through the back door. She then walked through the side gate and entered the main building. Seung Hee then noticed that the side gate seemed to be the only way to get in and out of the mansion’s inner circle. It’s impressive that her father remembered the interior of the house. It was so confusing!

Seung Hee continued to walk throughout the house calmly. She placed her hand over her chest and felt her heart beating so fast. She felt like she was the main character in a spy movie! Seung Hee then tried to focus herself and recall her father’s words.

Yes , Seung Hee would know. Fortunately, Seung Hee’s favorite artist is Renoir. The thing that caught Seung Hee’s breathe away was the elegant presence of the pretty girls that Renoir paints. She also loved the colors that he uses

Recalling her father’s words, Seung Hee then carefully opened the two doors. She sighed in relief when she realized that it was not locked.

Seung Hee quickly went inside and closed the door behind her. She looked around. It doesn’t look like the study that her father described. As she continued to look around, she then noticed a person that was on the sofa. Seung Hee then panicked.

The woman continued to sleep peacefully on the sofa, ignoring Seung Hee’s words. Seung Hee then sighed. She shouldn’t be worrying about the woman at this moment.

After wandering for a while, Seung Hee then looked into a hallway. It took her a long time before she found another door with two doors

Her father’s descriptions were right. As she sighed in relief, she then stepped inside cautiously. It was surprising how there was no one monitoring the study of one of the nation’s top chaebols. It seems careless of them, but Seung Hee was glad since it made it easier for her.

After searching a few minutes through the documents, Seung Hee found a document file that was dated 23 years ago. Seung Hee took out the file and looked through it quickly. It contained various records of the year, including old newspaper articles, letters, and commemorative photos.

After she took out the contract from the file, she then placed the documents back in place. Seung Hee was thrilled. She doesn’t have to go through the marriage anymore

As she was about to put her hand on the doorknob, the door then opened from the outside of the study.

The embarrassed Seung Hee then sighed. The person who she ran into was a man, and his body was wet from just coming out recently from the shower. Though he was wearing a robe, Seung Hee could still see his clearly defined muscles. His supine shoulders seemed so relaxed. Has he ever been tense about anything? Seung Hee then slowly looked up to look at his face. Seung Hee then knew who he was

It was Han Moo Chul.

His wet hair, which had been roughly brushed off, sparkled in the light. He then sighed. Snapping out of her trance, Seung Hee then felt guilty.

This was an irritating remark from Han Moo Chul, but the relaxed, low notes of his tone had the power of gently curving the meaning. Seung Hee felt like she’s being asked a friendly question, not a scolding.

He then walked past her to enter into the study. Seung Hee then quickly folded the contract behind her and placed them inside her pockets. Fortunately, it seems like he doesn’t remember the faces of his staff. With this, it looks like she can escape this place safely.

Seung Hee then quickly left the study room as if she were a lightning bolt.

After closing the door, she sighed in relief.

But then the door opened again.

Seung Hee turned her head around

He then smiled.

Seung Hee then shuddered.
