On the busy streets of city A, The people flowed like rivers, like the crowd had a life of its own and the surroundings were filled with chatter of people talking on their phone, gossips of the new novel updates, there were also conversations between old friends catching up and new friends being made.+

Mae was on her way back home from the bar, her exams were finish and she just turned 18 so she decided to celebrate her birthday with her friends. 4

While crossing the street she got a notification on her phone it was an update from the popular online novel she was reading {A half of a whole} she was so excited to read it that she quickly clicked it, but as she was about to read the chapter she heard a person scream, "Look out!".

The strong light blinded her, then a truck came in full speed and hit her, her vision went dark and she fell unconscious 36

Mae woke up in a daze, hearing a muffled voice call out a name, she tried to open her eyes but felt a throbbing pain in her head.

'holy sh*t that hurts'2

She tried to recall what had happen to her, she got an update on her favorite online novel, she was about to read it when suddenly she was hit by a truck deeming her unconscious.

She subconsciously frowned from the pain

The woman's voice now clear exclaimed: "Aimi your awake! Haru hurry up and call the doctor!"1

Mae slowly tried to open her eyes, to her surprise all she could see was a middle-aged woman who seemed to be worried about her, behind her was a young man perhaps haru who also shared the same concern as her.

"Aimi thank god your awake! you scare mother to death you know!"

'what does she mean by mother and why did she call me Aimi' she was confused, her head were filled with questions she wanted to ask them. she was surrounded with an unfamiliar atmosphere she looked around and saw the room she was staying in wasn't the typical hospital room you would stay in, it was more like a suite at a 5-star hotel.After examining her surroundings she finally had the guts to ask the stranger beside her "who are you?"

the woman intently stared at her Before answering: "do you really not know who I am?... I'm your mother Kazumi kimura"+

but her mother left her in japan to work overseas when she was young, she heard that she already had another family over there and would careless about what happen to her. besides that's definitely not the name of her mother and not what she looks like 'hm but that name sounds familiar where have I heard it before' she thought

then the handsome young man added: "-and I'm your brother Haru kimura"

'brother?!... I'm an only child da fuqs going on'3

Mae was very confused at this moment. The more she tried to think, the more painful her head felt. she was shocked and scared and at the same time she felt... different.

Noticing her puzzled look, her mother composed herself and asked: "Do you know what your name is?"

"Huh? my name?..."

"your name is Aimi kimura"

'Aimi kimura? Why does that name sound familiar?'

Mae suddenly recalled– this was a name that appeared several times in the novel the one who bullied and tormented the heroine, who was expelled, tainted and cause the downfall of the kimura company–it was the villainess in {A half of a whole}

Due to the shock Mae, now Aimi fainted.

It seemed to be late at night by the time she woke up once again. As she looked up, she noticed she was still there, she pinched herself as hard as she could "ouch" she had confirmed her realization, 'this isn't a dream' she had to face the reality that she wasn't Mae anymore but the despicable Aimi kimura.

Then, she was startled to hear a male voice say: "Calm down, your arm is attached to an IV drop."

She looked at the person beside her, it was her brother Haru kimura

"where's mother?" she asked.

"she left a while ago, she said she had some business to attend to"

'business you say' In the story all she ever did was go shopping and spend money on clothes and shoes, she and Aimi were like a pair, maybe she heard that there was a sale somewhere on one of her favorite stores, rushed there and left her beloved daughter behind.

Aimi suddenly felt defeated and as she closed her eyes she thought 'this is hopeless'. She actually transmigrated over into a novel as the villainess who was headed straight for her demise!3

Aimi pondered where the plot was at during this timeline.

She asked her brother: "how old Am I brother?"

Her brother looked at her with a concerned look before answering her: "you don't know how old you are?"2

In panic she answered: "I don't know how old I am, but I remember small details like my father is Hitoshi kimura the head of the kimura company and like how I'm the only daughter that he has" she wasn't sure about the information of the villainess in the novel, maybe she would slip up and say something that didn't happen yet but will in the future, so she avoided the risk and didn't want to arouse more suspicion.1

"Sorry, I only remember these details, but I can't recall the rest."

Her brother stared at her

'sorry?, that's so weird, she accidentally fell down a flight of stairs, now she suddenly got manners, my sister would definitely not have the word "sorry" in her vocabulary, maybe I should call the doctor before she turns into Mary Poppins or something'30

"okay, maybe you should just rest for a bit I'll go call the doctor"1

"okay, thanks"

Her brother went out the room, he was shaking his head 'thanks?! This is worse than I thought'4

Aimi sighed as she tried to recall the events, and what was going to happen to her. Looking at her brother leaving it was obvious that he felt something unusual, well who wouldn't I mean the relationship between Haru and Aimi were a bit rocky as I would say, as Aimi would continually pester her brother for information about kiyoshi takagi the male lead of the story.

'just thinking about him gives me shivers'

Though Haru wasn't that close with Kiyoshi, Haru had many connections that's why Aimi kept pestering him about kiyoshi, but that's all their relationship's about, Aimi was a stuck-up character, she chose not to be close with her brother, all she ever cared about was herself. 'maybe that's why her brother was so weirded out by me, I mean to suddenly do a 180 on her personality'

In the novel Aimi first met Kiyoshi when they were only just 5 years old at a birthday party of one of the aristocrats who were their family's mutual friend and from then on she fell in love with him, Kiyoshi was the cool, quiet and reserve type of character, he has that charisma and aura to lead people to success. Not to mention he was attractive that's why all the girls wanted him.

I remember in the story when Aimi was about to slap the female lead to show her place, Kiyoshi rush to the female leads aide. He grabbed Aimi's hand and pulled her away somewhere where no one was around.

Aimi thought that Kiyoshi wanted to be alone with her, I recall commenting 'nuh-uh b*tch he don't want nothing to do with yo ugly *ss' it got so many likes that it made me happy but now that I'm her this ugly *ss is scared to death. 17

Going back he threatened Aimi to leave the female lead alone or else he was going use all the power he can get to brinWith many thoughts in her head, Aimi drifted off to sleep

Aimi woke up again, it was early in the morning.+

This time, the person sitting next to her bed was the villainess' beautiful mother.

She was startled

'I can't seem to get use to this'

Aimi has yet to find a solution onto how she was going to get back, or if she could get back. Puzzled, Aimi thought about what was going to happen to her, she had come to a conclusion that maybe by distancing herself and trying her best to avoid the protagonist, her life, as well as her family's safety will be spared, that is if the plot hasn't progress quite yet.

As for the male lead, she believed that it was no longer a problem because the Aimi now, doesn't have feelings for Kiyoshi, 'yeah that's right screw you plot' though in the past she would fan girl about him while reading {A half of a whole} she didn't really like him she just thought of him as like an idol, and I mean it's a fictional character.

While in deep thought, her mother spoke and said:

"Aimi yesterday I bought you these shoes that you wanted so badly, I hope you could be happy and stop chasing over one man who doesn't even give you attention, I know how you feel about that guy and shoes may not replace the feelings you bear for him, but you tried so hard to find him a present for his birthday and he just threw it away before opening it, there are a lot of men who would be blessed to have you, so please I just want my daughter to be happy"6

Upon hearing this remark, she silently thought to herself: 'I stood corrected, her mother is really nice, maybe its just Aimi who's the only one toxic in this family. To be surrounded by kind people maybe caused her to be spoiled, this villainess isn't even worthy of her parents... ugh'

Then it hit her, it was something about what her mother had said 'present? I remember this part! when she and Kiyoshi were in college it was one of the flashbacks that was mentioned in the novel. That means she's in collage right now and the main plot had just begun'

"mom" she stared at her mother "how old am I?"

Her mother gazed at her "I heard from your brother; did you really forget everything?"

Aimi nodded

"I'll call the doctor right away" her mother said as she rushed to call the doctor12

How could I forget I practically memorized the plot, because I tend to forget details of the story, so I had to reread it so many times, it was such a pain but I liked it

After the doctor examined her, it was like It came out from a soap opera: "it is presumed that her fall gave her a concussion which led to a partial loss of memory."2

Her mother looked confused

"to put it short, it's amnesia"

She looked at her mother, her face, she was about to cry but it was obvious she tried to hold back the tears

"it's ok mom" Aimi said

Then atmosphere suddenly changed, it was grayer and the nurses all had looks of pity written on their faces. But it was fine it's not like she was going to die, and she didn't really have amnesia and she thought maybe having amnesia was more convenient, although she knows the names of the character she doesn't really have an idea of what those character really looks like so for now amnesia going to be her excuse.

As she finished sorting out her thoughts, she comforted her mother: "mom it's going to be fine, I am healthy and there's nothing really serious about this, maybe by sometime I will be able to recall parts of my memories. So, don't worry too much"

Her mother astonished as how her daughter, who was too prideful and selfish was consoling her in a calmly manner 'has falling down the stairs knock some sense out of her?'4

Her mother sighed and just hugged her

'yes! I made it through, d*mn this is stressing me out' as she had said she successfully survived on the first part, but will she be able to overcome what comes in the future?
