As I ran through the woods, I couldn't help but feel eyes on me every step I take. I looked around, watching my surroundings until I had bumped into a hard chest. I turned around as fast as I could and put up a protective barrier to protect myself from any danger. I saw a man about 25 years of age, standing there watching me with amusement in his eyes.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Nicholas Wright. King of the Warlocks and Witches. Who might you be?" he asked.

"Julie Hamilton. Half witch, half-vampire." I answered him.

"You haven't eaten, have you?" I put the barrier down as I nodded my head.

He smirked before coming over to me. He tilted his head to the side giving me the view of his delicious neck as he stood in front of me. I couldn't help myself. I sucked his blood. Not dry though. Just enough to fill me up. I'm not one of those vampires who sucks their prey's blood until it's dry. I wiped my mouth then licked his bite wound. Only to find out a mark there. I cursed to myself as I realized I had marked him.

"Erm...I kind of marked you." I said as he chuckled.

"Hold on tight," he said as I gripped onto his shirt.

He teleported us somewhere. There was a castle as big as the tallest mountain. I'll probably get lost in it. We walked in and he used his powers to speed up the process from walking inside the castle to I'm assuming, his room.

I looked around to see it's all clean and tidy. Not like my younger brother's room before I had to run away because of hunters. I actually mentally praised him for keeping his room tidy as well.

"Since you've marked me, we're going to be living together. In the same room, same bed and same castle. It also means, I'm yours and you're mine. Don't forget that and don't talk to other boys. I'm protective over the one I love and don't expect me to not kill the boy you're talking to." he said while pushing me up against the wall and nuzzling his nose in the crook of my neck.

All I did was nod my head without saying anything. My mouth was too dry to say anything to him at the moment. I couldn't help but feel like there's something about him that sparks up an interest in me. Probably because of his possessiveness, I would not know.

The next day, I looked around my unusual surroundings. I've never been in a castle before. This is all too new to me. I've never thought that in my life, I would've marked someone. Never mind about the one and only Warlock King. I've heard that he took over the throne at the age of 10 and that his dad, the previous King, died from a hunters attack. And they're the same ones who is going after me, not only for my head but for my powers as well.

"Nick! I've stopped by to check on you!" I heard someone shout.

"Stay beside me. My friend is a wild one. And not in that way as well." Nicholas whispered in my ear as I nodded my head.

"Hey, man. What's up?" Nicholas asked as he met with his friend.

"Nothing much. What about you?" His friends asked, totally ignoring my presence.

"Same. I see you brought your mate along with you. Still won't talk?" Nicholas asked as I looked at his mate.

Suddenly, my eyes widened as did his. We instantly hugged each other. I even let out tears. I was so happy I was able to see him again. I never thought I would've be seeing him once more. And definitely not in here.

"I missed you so much." I said, my voice cracking.

"I missed you too." He said.

"Erm...who are you and how do you know my boyfriend?" Nicholas's friend asked me while pulling him away from me.

"Get off of me! I want my sis!" My brother shouted as he elbowed him in the stomach and came over to me.

He hugged me once again as did I.

"What happened to mum and dad?" I asked him. "Why are you with him in the first place?"

"They...killed them sis. I was the only one who survived. It's all my fault. I should've saved them." He then started breaking down.

I calmed him down a bit, so I could talk to him. I wiped all of his tears away as he looked up at me in confusion. I gave him a sad smile then kissed the crown of his head.

"Don't blame yourself. You couldn't save them, okay I get that but I should've been there for you guys. But instead, i ran away to keep you guys safe. It should be my fault. Don't ever blame yourself that you didn't do. Even so, I still have you for family. Even if I couldn't save mum and dad, I'll protect you. Til the end. I promise you that. Don't be too hard on yourself. Now go smile and talk to your mate. I can sense him itching to hug and smell your scent." I said to him as I pushed him lightly towards his mate.

As I predicted, his mate did as I said. I saw him smile and snuggled into his embrace. I think I even heard Nicholas's friend purr at one point.

Suddenly, I was being dragged away from them. I looked up once they had dropped me to see it was Nicholas. I looked at him with confusion before standing back up. He looked at me with admiration and lust. But it was mostly lust.

"Yes? What did you need that you had to drag me all the way to the garden?" I asked him.

"I just don't know how I managed to meet you." He suddenly said before pecking my lips.

I looked shocked and was red as a tomato. He smirked and gave me one more. By now, I was literally bright red like the paint you get after putting some on your palette. He chuckled at me and hugged me. I reluctantly hugged him back. And we stayed there for another hour, hugging each other in silence.
