The author
I am the author of this story
The author
I will also be acting like the narrator as well
The author
So, don't be mad if you see my silly face
The author
Okay, let's move on to the story then
The author
A woman can be seen entering into a tall building
The author
She is beautiful and very majestic. She turns heads wherever is goes
The author
It is the office of one of the richest billionaires in the country
The author
She is the daughter of the billionaire who owns that office biilding
The author
Her name, is Gina Brown
Gina Brown. She is 30yrs old and the CEO of Gina's advertising company and the owner of Glam and rock magazine. She is single. And believes life must be lived to the fullest. She has no interest in commitments and parties each time she gets. She is the eldest sister of Melissa Brown
The author
She opens the door to the building and walks to the reception
The author
The receptionist who was on the phone earlier, sees her and greets her. Gina just waves at her and walks towards the elevator
The dress Gina was wearing to the office
The author
She gets into the elevator and presses on one of the buttons, which sends her up the building
The author
When the elevator finally opens, indicating she had reached where she was going, she stepped out of the building
The author
She walks straight into her father's office
The author
Her father gets up from his seat and walks to her
The author
Who is Gina's father? You might ask. Well...
Director Brown. He is 60 years old and the owner of Brown's group of companies. He has a media house, where he usually goes to. He is one of the richest billionaires in the country and a very strict businessman. He is a widow and wishes to see his daughters married with children.
Director Brown
Gina, my dear girl. How have you been?
The author
They hug each other
Director Brown
What brings you here to my office? The only time I see you around here is when you need something.
Gina
(Faking pain) Aw, father. How can you say that? I am here to see you and spend some time with you
Director Brown
Hmm... I see. You know I was not born yesterday
Director Brown
There it is. You always call me daddy when you need something
Gina
Okay, okay. But at least, offer me a seat first
The author
They both sit down
The author
Director Brown picks up his telephone from his desk and calls his secretary
The author
(So, I will be using the animated pics for minor characters)
Director Brown
📞 Rita, can you please bring two cups of coffee to my office?
Rita
📞 Of course, sir. I will bring it there right away.
The author
A few minutes later, a knock was heard on the door.
The author
They both look towards the door
The author
Rita walks in with two cups of coffee on a tray. Gina had been there several times so she knew how she liked her coffee
Rita
You are welcome, ma'am.
The author
She serves them their coffee.
Rita
Do you need me to do anything else for you, sir?
Director Brown
For now, no. Thank you
The author
Rita nods and leaves the room
The author
Leaving father and daughter to talk
Gina
Alright, father. Let me go straight to the reason why I am here. I would like you to help me
Director Brown
I'm listening
Gina
You see, the minister for arts and culture will be hosting a program here in the country. And they need people who can organise a party for the foreigners who will be coming. So, they are ready to give out the contract to anyone who is interested.
Director Brown
Okay. I don't see how that has anything to do with us. You don't do organising stuff, do you?
Gina
(Gasping) Father! Don't tell me you have forgotten I have started an event organisation firm
Director Brown
What? You already started it? When?
Gina
(Rolling her eyes) Six months ago, dad.
Director Brown
And you never told me?
Gina
I just wanted to prove to you that I will always not need your help like you think, father
Director Brown
Sorry, dear. I forgot you are a big girl. So then, why are you here?
Gina
I want you to help me win the contract
Director Brown
Oh come on, dear. You know that can't be possible. Your company is not even a year old. What makes you think you qualify for this? You know the rules in the business world.
Gina
I know that, father. That is why I am asking you to help me. I know you are friends with the minister. Please convince him that I am the best person for this job
Gina
Come on, father. Help me out here. I won't disappoint you, I promise.
Director Brown
It's not about you disappointing me. I know what you can do. I just want to know if you really want this.
Gina
I really want this, daddy
Gina
It will put my firm on the map. And help me gain more clients
Director Brown
Okay, princess. I will speak to the minister. But, promise me you will not fail me on this one?
Gina
(Squeaks for joy) I won't fail you, in promise. Thanks father
The author
She goes and hugs her father who happens hugs her back
Director Brown
Alright then, drink your coffee before it goes cold.
I love her
The author
Somewhere in the office of Director Brown. Two young men were having a wonderful chat of their lives
Jeffrey
I still don't get this. Why would a man just get up one morning and decide to kill his own family?
Nick
Well, you never know what goes on in the heads of some people. That is why I need you to go back to the crime scene and get as much information as you can
Jeffrey
I will do that as soon as I can. I am really interested in that case. I will leave as soon as I am done with this report.
The author
He hands Nick the file he has been working on all week. It was a story of a bunch of kids who decided to go swimming and got drowned in the river
Nick
I like what you did with this story. And I am sure you can do a lot of good with this one.
Jeffrey
Alright. Thanks bro.
The author
He gets up to leave
The author
I'm sure you want to know who these two men are. Well...
Jeffrey Austin. He is a journalist, one of the best in the country. He works with Brown Media, a multimedia company belonging to Director Brown. He is liked by Director Brown and very hard-working. He is the best friend of Nick Simons
The author
So that is Jeffrey. Let's move on to the next...
Nick Simons. He is also 30 years old and the Editor of Brown's media, the newspaper side. He is the best friend of Jeffrey and sees him as his own brother.
The author
Jeffrey took the files and walked out of the office. He did not look where he was going because he was looking through the new files Nick had given him when he bumped into someone.
Gina
Ouch...Watch where you are going ... Jeff?
Jeffrey
I'm so sorry...I should have watched... Gina?
Gina
I'm so sorry... I didn't see u. It's been a while. How are you doing?
Jeffrey
What brings you here? It's been a while I last saw you here
Gina
Yeah. I came here to see my father. I needed him to do something for me. Anyway, I'm already running late so I gotta go. It was nice seeing you. We should hang out more. See you later
Jeffrey
Yeah, sure. See you later
The author
Jeffrey stood and waited for Gina to leave while he took a good look at her
The author
He was almost drooling all over because his mouth was wide opened
Nick
I think you should close your mouth before flies enter your mouth
The author
Jeffrey was startled because he had not even seen Nick sneak up close to him
Jeffrey
Oh come on, man. 🙄. Anyway, isn't she beautiful?
Nick
She is beautiful. But also, way out of your league
Nick
You have heard the stories about her. I don't know why you can't get her out of your head
Jeffrey
☹️...That's because she is the woman I have ever loved in a long time. You don't know how happy I am whenever she just smiles at me. I just don't know what to do about her.
Nick
Forget about her, Jeffrey. You are my friend. And I don't want to see you hurt. She is the boss's daughter, everyone knows that. But, as I said, she is way out of your league
Jeffrey
(sigh) Let me just go to my desk and go through this. And then, prepare myself for my next assignment
The author
Jeffrey sadly leaves Nick and goes to sit by his desk. Nick goes back to his office
The author
Somewhere in the city. Gina is now in her office. She picks her phone from her bag and calls one of her friends
Gina
📱Hey, girl. How are you doing?
Irene
📱How are you doing, baby doll? How did your meeting with your father go?
Gina
📱It went well. He says he will speak to the minister. So all I'm doing now is waiting for his response
The author
Let me introduce you to someone before I continue
Irene Sanders. She is one of Gina's friends. She loves to party and go clubbing. Her father is also rich and very powerful. She does not work because her father provides her with everything she needs. She is very spoilt, calculated, selfish and disrespectful
Irene
📱So, is the clubbing still on?
Gina
📱 Of course it's on. I will see you girls later in the evening, okay
Irene
📱Will see you there.
The author
She hangs the call
The author
