The sounds of her fingers slowly clicking onto the keyboard with boredom as the time seemed to go slow.

She lazily looked at her watch then her small mirror by her desk.

Her eye bags hadn't gone unnoticed by her which made her sigh.

She tilted her head to the side and massaged her neck with her hand.

Her assigned work was due tonight and she sure wasn't going to make it, especially at this rate.

That old geezer had set me up. Look at him relaxing while I do his work.

Stacy thought while staring at her department's manager.

A few hours ago, he had dropped some files onto her desk and asked more like demanded her to record the data in.

She groaned and throw her head back. Staring at the ceiling-hoping the data could record itself instead of her doing it.

Walking out of the elevator, she finally sighed in relief.

Happy that she could hand in her work in time. In time meaning 1 am.

Once she made it out of the building she groaned. Remembering that she had not driven a car to work and nor did she have one.

At this point she got irritated. She ruffled her redish-brown hair, messing it up more than it was.

Then without a second thought she walked to the bus stop, hoping there was at least a bus still working at this hour.

She sat on the bench, waiting for a bus to pull up.

Who in their right mind would decide to work late when they know they don't own a car.

She sighed and turned on her phone.

No missed calls,

No messages

But

A reminder that her rent was due.

She rolled her eyes and turned off the phone.

Her body immediately dropped onto the bed as soon as she had changed into her pajamas.

Sleep had consumed her quickly before she could get comfortable on the bed.

Stretching her arms out as she yawned from the amazing sleep she had.

She smiled and turned to her side, planning to sleep for the whole day but then she remembered.

Shit shit shit!

She quickly sat up, removing the duvet off of her and immediately heading to the bathroom.

She didn't have to check the time to see if she was late. She knew she was already late and she didn't want to panic more knowing what time it was.

After she was done getting ready, she had left her apartment without eating breakfast. Which she will soon regret, like always.

Running to the bus stop before she had to wait for the next bus which came 30 minutes after the first one.

And if she had to wait for that one then she might as well not head to work today.

Quickly running to the bus stop, Stacy hadn't seen the car heading her way because the only thing occupying her head was how late she was.

She suddenly saw the car heading full speed at her. She stood there frozen until the car stopped immediately almost hitting her.

She dropped down to the ground and stared at the car.

Terrified about what just happened.

Suddenly the car door opened and the driver got out.

Still staring at the car Stacy hadn't noticed the man heading towards her.

"Miss you're blocking my way." The stranger said

Suddenly hearing the unknown voice. Stacy looked up and her mouth throw open.

The man in front of her was drop dead gorgeous.

He ran his fingers through his cocoa brown hair.

Her eyes trailed off to his jawline and all the way to his lips.

The man in front of her was running late to work just like her but he had to handle more serious things.

No doubt that he had found the woman in front of him attractive but he had better things to do.

Finally remembering why she was rushing. She quickly stood up and headed off, running to the bus stop before the man in front of her could do anything.

Leaving him wondering why she didn't learn from her mistakes from running ahead without checking her surroundings.
