I moved to New York 3 months ago and met my bestie Clara. We met at my new job in a cafe and instantly clicked . She is a beautiful and cheerful girl. Always carefree unlike me . She has a lovely family who loves her a lot. We always meet them in the weekend for lunch and spend the whole day with them . We started living together since 2 months and so far I'm very happy. Can my happiness last forever or its same as last time. I always reassure myself that this time it may be different but is it happening am I really safe now? it's a question that I always ask myself but can't answer it..

I got ready for my work in my beautiful blue dress👗and wore my favourite sandals. I completed my look with an eye liner and red lipgloss. I looked at my charm bracelet in my right hand. It has four charms flower, star, infinity and A. I don't remember buying it but I couldn't bring myself to remove it for the past three years . May be I keep it as my reminder of the past that I can't remember.

I love working in this cafe it's just 5 minutes walk from my house. I love the owner Mrs Brown who cares everyone as her children. She lost her husband and doesn't have kids but still she is never discouraged or sad. I like seeing the happy customers who come to the cafe.

I honestly started to fear thinking about the night . How am I going to survive being around so many people with my social phobia and anxiety. Please God help me to get through this night for Clara . I don't want to disappoint my best friend on her childhood friend's birthday party.

I got ready in red backless strap dress that comes near my knees. Clara wore a beautiful black Maxi dress . She completes doing her hair and makeup and starts doing mine .

We reached the club Poison . It's a famous club in New York City. Only the rich people and billionaire's can enter it . I can't believe Clara's friend is this rich to keep her party here. She is really excited today . Her face is glowing a lot since I agreed to come to this party and I can't understand why . l think she is planning something I may not like because she always behave like this when she is lying or planning something. I really hope it's not true. Because I just want this night to get over so that I can go home.

The party is already in a full swing by the time we enter. It's completely filled with people dancing and drinking wearing their masks .Thank God it's a masquerade party otherwise I couldn't even enter into the club let alone talk with anyone. Clara wore a silver mask and I wore a gold mask with feathers.

I felt so relieved . She is the second person after Clara that didn't cause any panic attack in me the moment she hugged.

Clara took my hand and we went to the bar counter . I asked for cocktail and she drank vodka . I don't remember how many shots we drank because we started dancing on the dance floor for a song I don't even know. So far it's so much fun.

I didn't even notice that Clara isn't beside me . I suddenly started to fear and my anxiety isn't helping me right now . I just pray that I don't get a panic attack now . I went to the washroom and saw my face in the mirror . My face shows that I'm really scared right now . But I know I have to overcome my fear. It's Ok Leah , you can do it I reassured myself as I practiced. I took a tablet to stop the panic attack that is about to start . With the mustered up courage I walked out of the washroom.

I walked through the drunk and sweaty people and searched for Clara . I just hope I find her soon. Suddenly some drunk guy stopped me.

It's very calm I think this is the VVIP section by seeing the surroundings . Honestly I don't care right now about anything . My breathing started to become irregular and my eyes are blurry. Then suddenly I hit into a hard body and about to fallen down just to be catched by a pair of strong hands.

I looked into the eyes of my saviour . They are an aqua blue eyes with so much depth in them . Before I could talk to him my breathing started to become irregular and my heart beat is raised. I am getting a panic attack but what shocked me most is what he did to me next . He suddenly hugged me.

His voice seemed magical . It calmed my mind . It felt like my skin is getting tingles of shocks at the places he touched my skin .I started to shiver due to this unfamiliar feeling and this made his hug only to tighten . He continues to say some sweet words to make me feel safe and that everything is okay . He reassured me. I don't know why I felt so safe when he hugged me . He feels so familiar yet so distant. My breathing settles now and I immediately started to move away from him.

Suddenly I hear my name as if someone is shouting and searched for the voice . Then I saw Clara running towards me. She started hugging and apologizing me for leaving me on the dance floor.

It's ok Clara . I'm feeling okay now thanks to him***.

That's when Clara saw the person infront of us . He is wearing an expensive black armani suit and a costly watch. I think he is a big billionaire for sure otherwise he wouldn't be in the VVIP section. I still haven't seen his face properly due to the darkness . Just when I'm about to see his face I hear Clara speaking and I turned towards her.

I'm honestly very tired because of this stupid party and my panic attack .I already feel light headed due to the drinks I drank. I just want to go home and sleep in my bed. I wanted to thank my saviour again and when I looked up just to see him missing. I think he went away .

We came out of the club and took a cab . We reached our home in 15 minutes . I don't know why I still couldn't forget the mystery saviour . His voice , his touch , his smell everything about him is damn attractive and I seem to be addicted to it . But I know I may not meet him again. I didn't even see his face honestly I'm an idiot. How could I not see his face . I really have to forget him .

Clara came to my room and sat beside me on the bed.

It's okay Clara forget about it . I enjoyed a lot .

  We talked for some more time and had our dinner . I went back to my room to sleep. I started to think about him, my mysterious saviour and tried to play with my charm bracelet just to see it missing and got shocked . I got up and searched it but I couldn't find it anywhere. I really feel sad to lose the only remainder of my past. With the thoughts of my charm bracelet I slept.
