Episode 1: Mermedia and Saturn

Mermedia, home of the Guardians of Light is been hiding ancient technology and magic from the world; just keeping the art of mastering water and air. In the deepest of the forest, there is a treasure, The Old Tree; fountain of all Mermedia's magic, elements and, ancient technology. The death of the Phoenix is still a mystery. They still don't know what really happened. It is said it happened three hundred years ago. And, everything started after magic was taken out to the eye of the world; to be teach, to be practiced, to be used. Bad practices created evolution. Evolution created war.

The Guardians believed that balance will be restored once the prophecy is completed, therefore all the gems together. They have waited almost a hundred years for the child with the birthmark. The children born under the two full moons. However, with or without birthmark all children born under the two full moons have been kidnapped and killed by Dark spies of Kingdom of Saturn.

After the chaos created of losing possible prodigies, the guardians of Mermedia found out that not all of the children were born in the same Era. Which means that it will be hard to find the gems between the timelines and they have to do it before Saturn do.

With the help of ancient technology and magic; they created time travel machines. Day after day, mission after mission they accomplish to collect two of the gems of the Phoenix's heart. But, last mission went wrong. One of the travelers got trapped in the past, having no chance to come back. Since then, time traveling to the past have been prohibited and taken away in forbidden magic spells to protect the world of any change that this event may have caused.

Mermedia was the greatest kingdom in the world, it still was after war. But, before Mermedia it was known as Harmony. There was kindness and happiness all over the places. Everyone was so proud of being a citizen of Harmony. Masters of water and air were the most respected teachers of the kingdom. Schools for water benders and air benders were created before they even get to know war. They were always prepared. Even though magic and technology was part of everything it was forbidden for everyone except the Guardians. They must be the one to keep balance on protecting Mermedia from Saturn.

Legends and songs tells the legends of Mermedia and Saturn being twin sisters. As told, Saturn was always jealous of the beauty Mermedia was born with. Mermedia had the gift of the Moon; long bright white hair, pale skin, clear blue eyes and rose cheeks. Is not that Saturn wasn't, she just didn't felt that way because all the attention her sister always got. Unlike Mermedia, Saturn was blessed with the power of the Sun. Her black hair sort of covered half of her face all the time, her very dark eyes combining perfectly with those gorgeous red lips of her. She had a uncommon beauty. Their mother always gives Mermedia compliments of her wisdom and beauty but never did it with Saturn, not after what happened at the great Harvest Festival.

Mermedia with the gift of the Moon she had water and air in control; taking advantage the power of healing and bringing life back. Saturn got the gift of Sun, in other words fire and earth, even though she had the power of land where food grows and animals live, fire was not a helping gift for her.

In a night of joy, the Harvest Festival where everyone greets Gods for the food some of the village people were performing a talent show in which both girls were participating. Music, dances and magic performances were bringing joy to the people. Mermedia was performing was about love and life. Using two pigeons and a small garden made for her, she told the story of how her parents meet. Everybody loved the show. Saturn's performance was about power and magic; so she wanted to show the village the beauty of fire bending. But, in a second something went wrong. She couldn't control herself after performing a Phoenix inside the castle, Mermedia tried to stop her. Her sister told her how dangerous it was to master fire inside the castle. She got really angry that her sister tried to mess up her performance. Trying to get her performance back to the show, she burned her sister. Mermedia's scream of pain filled the entire room. All water benders turned off the fire of Saturn's show. Their parents ran to Mermedia who was crying in pain on the floor. Saturn was trying to apologize and fix what she had done but her father blind of madness blew her daughter away from her sister.

Her mother healed Mermedia as fast as she could and took Mermedia to a room so she can rest. After Saturn being punished and taken to her room, the King, her father prohibited her to use fire in the kingdom. Saturn was isolated from her sister. There was nothing in the world that could change her father's decision. Everything she do was a sin for him, so she ran away from home. She ran and ran through the forest until getting lost in the middle of the desert. After days walking with no destiny, tired and sick, she got to a small village. An old couple gave her shelter. She didn't wanted to go back so she stay with them for a while. Once recovered her new parents suggested her to go to a dark school for spies high in the mountains. Where she learned dark magic and technology arts. She wanted to leave her past behind and be part of a place which welcomes her. She wanted to be home.

As being one of the most powerful students, she got promoted to be leader of dark spies. Being one of the best spies off in missions all over the country. In her last mission to Harmony, she was asked to steal the map to the Old Tree Realm inside the forbidden forest.

She accepted the mission.

Saturn and two other girls went to Harmony in search of the map. Saturn suggested on going by herself on this mission. But her requested was denied. Anyways, everything was going how they expected; they got inside the castle. The girls remained watching over Saturn in a distance. Everybody was supposed to be in the great salon celebrating the Princes sixteen birthday. But, the only person who wasn't celebrating was her sister Mermedia. She was in their father's chamber.  Mermedia was surprised to find her sister so suddenly. She noticed something was definitely changed. Mermedia was not a Princess anymore. She had her mother's crown on her head.

Mermedia told her. Their parent were dead. Saturn did not say a word. Her sister came closer and held her hands. She begged her sister to come back home but, it was no longer her home.

Saturn heard someone approaching to the chamber so she hid. A man, seeming to be the King, came in looking for Mermedia. When they left leaving her by herself, she took the time to look for the map but, found nothing but an old book of a story her mother used to read to them before bed. It was about the Old Tree, that could be of help. Don't it? She took it with her. She left the castle without the other two girls who were capture by Harmony Guards. She was the only one who made it back nowadays know as Saturn.

She studied the book for years trying to found out where exactly the forbidden kingdom of the Old Tree was hidden. She found nothing, her daughter did.

Years after, Mermedia found her. Accusing her sister of stealing one of the biggest treasures of Harmony. The Old Tree map. She refused to give back, saying that she did not stole anything from them. Mermedia, putting her people in danger declared war.  Unfortunately, Mermedia lost this battle and Saturn hid all her village under a dark magic shield.She wanted to protect her daughter. Her sister at a young age become a Master of Fire and Dark Magic. After war the village made her the Queen of Saturn, honoring her name.

Her daughter found love. She meet Dante; a hunter from Mermedia.

Episode 2: The Hunter

Vermon Azrael was a young hunter who lived outside Harmony, known as Mermedia. Soon as heading home from a hunt day he found a man at his step. Waiting for him.

This man, of unknown name, advised Vermon about what Mermedia used to be before war. The young boy, asked him which of the wars he was talking about. Revolution Bloodline or the Phoenix War.

After the Phoenix War, Mermedia hid the forest creating the desert in between of the two kingdoms. Without the Phoenix, the Old Tree was at risk of being found.

He didn't recognized Vermon at first, so he told him his life story. That he was the missing guardian from Mermedia, all the time he spent in prison, the deal with the king and the time traveling.

He had long story nights with this man.

Curious, Vermon decided to take a journey back to Saturn. He walked the dessert, day and night, until his last breath. Ascertaining the words of the old man; You don't go to Saturn; it finds you."

He fainted in the middle of the desert, where dark spies of Saturn found him unconscious. They had him captured, questioned and judged. He remained in town for a while. While exploring he found the ruins of a cabin burned down to ashes. He build it back. H

He casted away a protection shield to keep it away from the eye of the man. He practiced dark magic; finding ways to restore his body and youth one more time. Thereupon, joined the dark magic local guards where he met the great Master of Fire. After developing his skills, he got a proposal of moving up to the mountains and learn more. Using his spare time for researches, he found a diary. Which he studied every word on it.

Masters of Fire saw potential on him and allowed him to teach.

After months of improvements, learning ancient magic and technology, he finally made the first time machine created with dark magic and technology.

He improved.

A lot.

He proved that machine himself, before letting the Masters know about it existence. He went to a different world. A world he couldn't understand. People was completely different, the technology, clothing, lifestyles was completely different. It was like a whole new world. He came back successfully this time, to the right moment and time he was before.

It did worked.

He got too greedy.

Before telling anyone it worked he planned something. Unsure of it, he did a presentation to the masters.

In the big presentation, he decided to put a condition on the table. No one will go back, ever, it does not matter the reason, anyone trapped, killed or captured in any mission. Time traveling is dangerous and it can really alter the time in the future.

They agreed with it.

Without his consent they planned a big trip, an impossible mission. Mermedia. To the last, twin full moons. He refused to do it so. It was too risky, times are way too different by then. Magic was different. He warned that whatever they alter will change their present lives. What was done must stay done, he said. As expected, it was a very difficult travel, no all of the group made it. They hid in the forest outside Harmony before it was named Mermedia. It was quite more dangerous and savage.

At that time of living, the Old Tree wasn't too hard to find, they just needed the map. There was no dessert, just a huge infinite piece of enchanted forest. They arrived to the village after walking through the mountains. Vermon went on a walk, way too close to the castle. He walked the market, place where he saw them. The young Mermedia and Saturn. He stared at them, specially to Mermedia. He needed to get close to her.

So he had an idea. Going to the dance.

She noticed him, in the crowd, in the dance, while he was taking a sip to his beer. She notice a young man. Full of grace. Handsome, before her eyes. She approached to him, stealthiness.

"A hunter around here.", isn't of course questioned. She was smart, enough to notice when someone was not from the area. She smiled.

His plans were not going to work at the place; he couldn't hurt her. Not like that. She is, at that moment of her life, harmless. Despite of knowing her future, he approached back.

They spent the night together, and the night after to this one. Time enough for her to trust him. Somehow, it was like her first real love. They couldn't stop seeing each other.

He warned her about what was going to happen. I will come back for you, he said looking her straight to the eyes and kissing her forehead. I will come back for you my dear, maybe not in this life, but I will come back. Leaving her confused.

On his way back to the camp, he stopped by the river. He had it. He finally had the map to the Old Tree. But, what was the point on going back with the map? The dessert must have be covered already, so he decided to change plans. They will go for it, on this trip, back to Harmony. At night, he closed the portal to the present. He killed the seven men he was traveling with. He had the map for himself. Everything for himself.

He didn't took the Phoenix that night.

Someone else did.
