Taehyung's life is perfect, not really but that's what the people around him lead him to believe.
Constantly, he'd hear the phrase "people out there have it worse than you" or "you have so much to smile about"
Those were said to make him feel better, to make him feel like he wasn't a train wreck in the making, at least they thought that was what would happen.
But it only made Taehyung feel worse, everytime he had an awful day, filled with absolutely pain and agony he'd force a smile, watching himself in his mirror, head spinning with absolutely no focus.
So now as he layed on the floor of his classroom, staring up at the dusty ceiling fan as his peers watched his limp body sprawled across the floor muttering little "is he dead"s he smiled again, because "people out there have it worse than him.
It's really such a fvcked up thing to tell a child like him, a child who feels worthless and like nothing but a bother.
He's not proud of who he's become, he probably never would be but he couldn't have done any better.
There was no preventing it.
He knew what he had been getting himself into back in 2018 when he first sniffed some of that white powdery dust.
His so called friends had warned him, told him how dangerous it could be but when did he ever listen?
Now look at him, he's an addict. Couldn't go a day without injecting himself with some fvcked drug or without taking one too many pills and then he'd end his day by sniffing more cocaine, just hoping and praying his mom wouldn't find him
His mom, she doesn't admit it but she's terrified of him. maybe even resented him and yes it hurts having his mom look at him like he was some demon spawn but the cocaine made it better. so much better.

Worry, That's all he did, make people worry. He's not trying to. not in the slightest.
He'd prefer if they'd just leave him there to waste away without giving two shïts but someone was always worrying.
and when they worried, it made him feel guilty. It's eating at him, telling him to stop making them worry.
He's tried but when he's not high or drunk, the bad memories surface. The ones he wants to bury deep inside so he always relapses.
So maybe one day he would stop, find some other way to cope with the harsh reality of his life but until now the drugs were his only way out of his scary mind.

He continued slamming himself into the door, not caring for the pain that was coursing through him after every hit.

Sure, he's not the best son. He knows that, but to think his mom would actually throw him into rehab, it made his blood boil.
