Chat POV:

"pound it!" me and M'lady both exclaimed happily. just another day of being Chat Noir. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend today but I'm kind of nervous, my heart pounded as I muttered out

"h-hey M'lady?"

"yes Kitty?" she answered with a smile

her smile made my heart flutter

"may I ask you something?"

"yes sure!"

"do you wanna be together?"

her smile faded and turned into a sad frown

"chat... you know that I don't like you that way. you're like a brother to me, I'm sorry to hurt you but we can't be together, it would mean we would have to reveal our identies and you know how dangerous that is-"

"yes I know I know, but can't we not follow the rules just this once?"

"no Chat, you know that I also like another boy.... "

my heart felt like someone had took it out and smashed It into a million pieces...

"yes, sorry about that. I'll get going..." I said and turned around ready to leave

"Kitty listen-" before she could finish I pounced away

as I climbed into my room through the window, tears started to fill my eyes. who am I kidding, Ladybug would never like me, I can't compete against that boy. my ring started to beep and I de transformed, Plagg looked exhausted but he still comforted me as I cried on my bed.

Marinette POV:

I stared out into the dark night, cold breeze brushing against the exposed parts of my skin as I leaned on the railing of my balcony. I feel so bad for rejecting Chat but my heart belongs to Adrien. it would also be dangerous but I can't help but realize that whenever me and Chat touch I feel something in my stomach, a good feeling. could it be that I am catching feelings for Chat....? no no, what am I thinking. I can't have feelings for him, ......... can I?

it was all that was in my mind this night.

I fidgeted in my bed, pondering about my new caught feelings? no, I simply couldn't have feelings for chat. I rejected him and I love Adrien! not Chat! I looked down from my bed to my desk and saw the gift for Adrien that I had knitted, it was a matching beanie to go with his scarf and gloves

I think he will like it, at least I hope so. I felt my eye lids slowly close as I tilted on my side and I fell asleep

~The Next Morning~

"Marinette, wake up darling. you're going to be late!" my mom yelled from downstairs

I got up and rubbed my eyes sleepily. as I walked I not the bathroom to freshen up, I found Tiki admiring something on my desk. I didn't care too much and locked the bathroom door. as I came out, all dressed and fresh

"Hey Tiki!" I said

"oh, good morning Marinette" Tiki answered

"quickly, come into my purse and let's go down for breakfast"

"sure!" Tiki flew into my purse and I shut it, I grabbed the present for Adrien and then hurried down the stairs

"Good morning sweetheart" mom said putting some toast in my mouth

"gmd morfin" I muttered with the food in my mouth, my dad hugged me and I said goodbye, but before that I grabbed a cookie and slid it into my purse for Tiki. after that I left for school.

As I was walking to school, on the way I bumped into a woman, she seemed to be in a rush and I couldn't help but notice that she kind of looked like Lila? whatever, I shouldn't focus on that. I said sorry to the lady and hurried to school.

"hey girl!" Alya said hugging me

"hii" I replied hugging her back

"a bit late?" Nino buzzed in chuckling

"yeah, sorry. I bumped into a lady on the way here and she was carrying a lot of papers. I helped her pick them up that's why I'm late" I smiled awkwardly

"oh it's okay, by the way Dudenette, you know what's up with Adrien? he's been so lifeless all morning" Nino said, his smile turning into a concerned look

"yeah girl, he's not been talking to us, did something happen between you two?"

"um no, not that I can't think of. we haven't been on the bad side for the past month!" I muttered, worried about what happened to Adrien.

I gently pushed past Alya and Nino and walked up to Adrien

"h-hey Adrien, how are you doing? I got you a gift" I stuttered smiling a little

he turned around and gave me such a scary look, I almost jumped back. he had dark circles under his eyes, his eyes were puffy, it looked as if he had been crying all night. he stared at me for a second, then he knocked the gift (that I had taken out of my backpack earlier) out of my hand, I paused for a second as Adrien just gave me the cold stare that the usual happy Adrien would never give again.

"well well well, we had told you that Adrien loved Lila not you." one of Lila's sidekicks snickered

as Adrien walked away with his hands in his pockets. I stood there confused and heartbroken, tears started to fill my eyes

"oh my god Girl! are you okay?!" Alya ran up to me and took my sobbing a$$ into her arms

"man that was so not cool of Adrien." Nino huffed frowning

I wiped my tears as I stepped back from Alya's hold and she started to yell at the girl who now was walking away still snickering.

"it's okay guys, maybe he was just upset or had a rough morning. give him some space" I smiled sadly

"Marrinete, you are always so kind and forgiving. girl what are you gonna do when life hits you" Alya said frustrated

"it's fine, don't worry about me. I'll be okay"

"Dudenette you are such an amazing person, I just don't get why Adrien would act that way"

"no, no. I told you guys it's fine, let's get going or we'll be late for class" I said and grabbed Alya's hand gesturing her to come with me, Nino followed after us

during class Adrien sat at the very back and didn't talk to anyone. Nino tried sitting beside him but he just shut Nino out. Alya was still raging mad at Adrien but I tried to focus on class, it hurt so bad but I had to put up with it. a fake smile to hide the pain. the only good thing is that Lie-la was not in class today, she was apparently in Achu again, meeting her "first kiss" Prince Ali. I doubt that she even saw Prince Ali, that girl is such a liar.

Adrien sat alone at lunch too and he also pushed Chloe away when she went to him saying the same thing she says everyday "Adrikins"

-time skip-

it was the end of the day and Me, Alya and Nino were walking out together ready to say goodbye. we saw Adrien getting his car with his driver. I felt my heart break again remembering how he acted.

I said goodbye and rushed home. as soon as I got home I dashed upstairs to my bedroom, flopping on my bed and crying. after an hour of crying I finally stopped, Tiki had been comforting me and she took care of me, wiping my tears away with a tissue, I am so lucky to have her

"it's okay Marinette, don't be upset. Adrien was probably having a bad day" Tiki squeaked

"it's not just that Tiki! I feel bad for rejecting Chat too! I feel so heart broken. I hurt my best friend (Chat) and now my crush hates me too" I cried

"oh Marinette... " Tiki Sighed

-time skip-

a light knock same from the door that led to my room

"Marinette dear?" mom asked

"what mom" I huffed, trying to stop my sniffling

"don't you want dinner honey?" she asked

"no mom, I don't want dinner tonight" I answered

"oh, okay I'll leave some food out if you get hungry" and with that she left

-meanwhile with Adrien-

"I feel so bad for hurting Marinette like that, I shouldn't have taken out my anger and sadness on her. she was just trying to be nice" I said looking at Plagg

"well, what did you wanna do about it? I mean you've already done what's been done" he started eating a camembert

"I'm gonna go and comfort her" I answered

"comfort her? howw?? you're going to go as Adrien, that would be almost impossible to sooth her down"

"no, I'm not going as Adrien" I smirked

"oh boy" Plagg said making a face as I yelled

"Plagg, Claws Out!!" Plagg swirled right into my ring, dropping his half eaten camembert

after I finished transforming I opened my window and pounced out into the night.

I reached Marinette's house and pounced down on her balcony.

Mari POV:

I heard something thud above my ceiling, like something landed on top of it. I wiped my tears with my hands and opened the trap door to my balcony

"Chat...?" I stumbled seeing him

"yes Princess?" he smiled sweetly

"what are you doing here..?" I asked, feeling guilty about the rejection

"oh, it was late and I couldn't fall asleep so I thought why not come see you"

I walked towards him and leaned on the balcony as he did

"so Princess, why are you up so late?" Chat asked looking at me

"I....also couldn't sleep, and I was upset about something at school" I answered looking back at him

"oh I'm sorry to hear that you've been upset" he frowned

"let me do something to make you feel a bit better" and saying that he pulled me in for a hug

I hesitated at first but then I hugged him back. it felt nice

after a few seconds, as I was still in Chat's embrace I remembered Adrien, even though I tried not to cry, tears started falling from my eyes

"Princess are you okay?! why are you crying?!" Chat asked panicking

"no it's nothing, just a boy from my school. the one that I told you about, you know Adrien Agreste the famous super model" I smiled as tears continued rolling down my cheeks

"I'm so sorry Princess" Chat said in an almost crying tone as he wiped my tears away

"w-why are you sorry? I am the one that should be sorry" I cried

"but why are you sorry?" he asked lowly

I didn't answer but held onto him tighter and cried some more as he rubbed my back slowly trying to calm me down, after some minutes I finally stopped being emotional

"let's go to my room Chat, it's cold out here" I muttered, freeing myself from his embrace and jumping down to my bed, Chat followed behind me

"forget Adrien, he is- I mean was my crush. I loved him since the day he gave me his umbrella but I guess he just doesn't feel the same way..." I mumbled climbing down the ladder from my bed and walking to my desk

Chat POV:

my heart skipped a beat and my face flushed red hearing that I well Adrien me was Marinette's crush, and for so long. how come I never noticed? I thought

I watched Marinette walk to her desk and pick up a sketch book, the one she always carries. she showed me her latest fashion design and I was stunned

"it's so pretty, Princess. just like you" I winked jumping down from her bed, she chuckled

"silly kitty" she said and put the sketch book down

after that we talked and laughed, hung out, got some snacks from the bakery downstairs

-time skip-

it was midnight and was going to be 1 am

"hey Kitty?" Princess asked

"yes Princess?" I answered

"I had knitted a gift for Adrien but I don't think he wants it, do you mind trying it on?" she said taking out a beanie from the bag that I had rejected this morning. the beanie matched with my scarf and gloves father had given me.

she placed it on my head and marked the spots for my ears then took it back to her desk, I watched as she pulled out some scissors and started snipping at the marked areas

"what are you doing, Princess?" I asked curiously

"oh, I'm just fixing it a little so it fits you and ur silly cat ears" she laughed

after she finished she put it back over my head

"awww you look so adorable" she squealed hugging me, I hugged her back

"thanks Princess, but everybody looks adorable in your designs" I smiled as she jokingly hit my back, we both laughed and she pulled out her phone to take a pic

"say cheese!" she smiled at the camera

"cheese!" and *CLICK* we had a cute pic together, how sweet.

Mari POV:

me and Chat lay in bed together talking about stuff, suddenly he stopped talking and stared into my eyes

"is everything okay Kitty?" I asked, he caressed my lip with his thumb. he still didn't say anything, out of the blue he pulled my face closer to his and
