You wake in a vast set of rooms.
No windows, No doors.
Nothing, Absolutely Nothing.
Damp brown carpet lines the floors.
And Old Mono-Yellow Wallpaper barely hugs the walls.
The fluorescent lights buzz ever so slightly.
You look around in despair.
Around at your future.
You start to do the only thing you can do.
So You walk, and walk, and walk.
And for what’s seems like miles is the same things, that damp Brown carpet, and that stupid Yellow Wallpaper.
And an Erie feeling of déjà vu at every corner
You try to preserve the little food and water you have on you
At some point, you forget everything.
Has it been hours? Days? Weeks?
What you were before doesn’t matter
It’s your move forward, to leave these backrooms
But after a very long time, you see something different.
A piece of paper on one of those damn walls.
In absolute joy, you run to it to read what it says,
"May God help you if you hear noises, cause those noises sure as hell heard you"
Your joy turned to terror
What noises?
Are you Alone?
You take the paper and continue on your journey.
But now your endless despair turns to paranoia.
You look around every corner and start noticing dark spots where lights don’t glow.
You begin to think if you’ve gone insane
If the shapes you begin to see are real or not.
Just a figment of your imagination or creature lurking in the distance.
But that creature, real or not, seems to get closer and closer.
Despite that, you trek forward in hope of escape from these infinite rooms.
Eventually after what seems like forever,
You finally think you’ve gotten control of your sanity and paranoia.
But one simple thing ends that thought:
A Thump.
You hear a Thump
You hear something, something that isn’t yourself or a fluorescent buzz.
Not only that, but you remember once again that old paper
You know that there is someone… no… something is nearby.
You freeze in terror.
Sweat drips down your skin.
What can you do?
Run?
It’s not like that thing has already heard you or anything.
But then comes another thump, not as loud, but definitely closer.
Try to think of ways to possibly fend it off, but you don’t even know what this “thing” looks like.
In the end it’s useless, so make a run for it.
You desperately try to hide, hide behind those ugly walls.
But once again, it’s no use, it knows where you are, it knows exactly who you are.
You lean against a corner wall, accepting your fate, you're probably going to die.
But instead, a miracle happens.
Well, not a miracle, but a complete coincidence.
You fall through that wall as if it was made of nothing.
With that, you are brought somewhere new.
You have left the lobby of these backrooms,
But you are far from safe.

You Awaken in what seems to be a warehouse.
You’re confused beyond anything
What the hell just happened? You probably think.
This warehouse, just like the rooms before, seems to go on infinitely.
But it’s different, instead of slight variations of the same empty room going on for miles.
There are different types of rooms, hallways, doors, stairwells, and even working water, though undrinkable.
You probably think this is better than the level before, but it’s still hell. You’ve never left it.
So, just like before, you walk
You begin to explore hallways, creeping around every corner.
Staying on guard to avoid another grave situation, you can never be too careful.
As you wander, you look at the decorated walls and old junk.
Tons of crates filled with random things and weird-looking paintings on stained white walls.
You make a weapon out of an old lead pipe and some tape found in various places.
Other than the constant threat of enemies, it’s quite boring, so your mind wanders quite often.
What types of things wander these halls and rooms?
How many of these “Places” are there?
Why did I go to this hell?
As you think you begin to hear rumbling and slashing noises.
At this point you’re obviously not calm, your curiosity is killing you. Knowing is better than not knowing, probably.
You you sneakily get closer to this noise, but as you do, those noises turn to yelling and screams.
Humans!? or at least you think they are.
You peak around the final corner to see two men, one dead on the ground, and the other leaning against a wall while standing.
The man leaning against the wall sees you immediately and calls you out.
“You… Person… Monster Attack. You... Ok?”, The man says to you in a slur of words
You are very happy but still cautious to see a fellow human, you try to explain your situation in detail, going through everything.
“Hmmmmm…” The strange man grunts at you. You notice the man seems to not acknowledge your situation in the slightest. “I… Herring, …bring you… M.E.G. Base.”
You continue to notice his awful language skills, maybe he’s a foreigner? But you ignore it for a more interesting thing, who is Meg? Maybe it’s a person who can help you.
“…Follow…” The mysterious man says at you Strangely.
You decide to reluctantly follow the man.
You and the man walk for a while, every few corridors you wonder actually who this man is and if he is actually bringing you to Meg.
But then a sudden change occurs, the encounter. The man in front of you trips and falls to the ground.
“Shit…, I… cut self” You hear the mysterious man says to himself.
You face the man and see his cut, silvery-clear blood flows from it, something is clearly off.
You quickly realize the man before you is no man at all.
You take a few steps back in fear, taking the lead pipe from earlier and going into a defensive stance.
“That bad… you see blood. Your… decision bad”, The Creature Mutters.
The Man in front of you begins to shift and turn into a humanoid creature, you gag at the disgusting sight.
You alone are no match for this thing, and all the steps you took not to get in this situation absolutely failed.
You yell at the creature to go away and not to harm you.
It Fails, it fails terribly.

You’re running for your life. Again…
Sucks for you, doesn’t it.
That monster who you thought was a friend, and who you thought was a “Human” was absolutely none of those things.
When it comes to meeting people in the future, you’ll need to be careful. Trust shouldn’t be carelessly given.
‘Trust, but verify.’
As you are running hastily, you realize something.
The skin monster is faster than you thought.
At every chance you try to slow it down, by throwing boxes, paintings or random junk. It doesn’t really do much, however it is making that thing more angry.
You’re sprinting at your maximum capacity, but the rush of adrenaline is keeping you together.
You manage to find an office with a lockable door and slam it shut. You put all your feeble weight on door while the monster is pushing on the other side.
You scramble to lock the door, but your trembling is halting your progress. After a few seconds of banging on the door, you take one large shaking breath and lock it tight.
You lean against the door while the banging continues, your mind starts to race.
What do you do if it gets in?
Like anything will work, the only thing you can even fathom protecting yourself with is either that old rusty pipe or some old childhood Karate that you haven’t used in 10 years.
After some thinking, the banging stops, whether that is amazing or absolutely terrifying is highly debatable.
So to check, you lean against the door. As your face unpleasantly rubs the door, you listen.
Groans, moans and random garbled words.
That thing is still there, but what is it doing?
You want to see, so you take your stupidity for a ride.
You unlock and crack open the door?!?
The monster is just standing there, it seems to have lost interest or maybe it’s intelligent enough to stop and think. But you doubt that greatly.
You want to sneak past it, but is that a bright idea?
You wait until the beast stumbles far enough away for you to Slip away.
Then, with the best of your ability, you do exactly that. You decide to go in a different direction in which you came to the door.
Once you get far away enough, you take an extra turn down a hallway for safety measures.
Even with that extra “safety” measure, it’s less likely that you’ve actually gotten safer.
Once your adrenaline stabilizes itself you begin to realize that this hallway in which used for “safety” is a tad bit long.
Longer than necessary.
Like, scary long, or weirdly long.
The crusty white walls begin to change bit by bit. Pipes start to line those a walls, which have at this point have turned to concrete.
A shiny steel and matte grey are the palettes are these walls.
You look forward, it seems that you are no longer in that warehouse like environment, but one of a sewer or a maintenance corridor.
It even follows the rules of the previous levels, it’s seems to go on infinitely.
Pure luck seems to be your friend.
You have once again accidentally entered the next step of your fated journey.
Is it fate or just terrible circumstances?
It’s not like it matters at this point.
