Ali's POV

I just graduated today and many if my relatives came to congratulate me. I still don't have any plans on what course I'll be taking for college, and I don't have any University on my mind yet.

"Oi, Ali you're in your own world again!" my friend Izza tapped my shoulder. I sighed, I don't really know what should I be.. I'm literally bad at everything, when I say everything... EVERYTHING.

"C'mon, today is the last we'll probably see each other and go on our own paths in the future. Let's enjoy it hmm?" I kinda teared up by her remarks and nodded.

We went to the temple to pray and tried to pick up some paper on how our fortunate this year would be. "OMG! ALI LOOK, I'M SUPER LUCKY THIS YEAR"

I opened mine was not even shocked on what I saw, the writings said that I'll have bad luck or I have a bad fortune. "Oh..congrats! mine is the same as yours too"

We went to various places and ate street foods to. After an hour we parted our ways.. This is going to be the last time I'll ever see her, I guess? Since she planned to be an Artist... Meanwhile me?? I don't think I even have any future. I also prayed to the gods earlier that I would find a nice boyfriend throughout my college years, but I don't even think it's possible.

I'm walking home and an old woman is infront of me with her bicycle. She's moving so slow that it kinda concerned me. I tried to approach her but she suddenly fainted which made me panic.

"Ma'am? ma'am!? are you alright? do you hear me!?" she was panting so hard. I took my phone out of my pocket and was about to dial an ambulance, but unfortunately there's no signal. I also looked around if there are people who can help me but I saw no one.

"SOMEONE? HELP US!!" I kept shouting my lungs out and I'm on the verge of crying. When someone with a blue hoodie approached us.

"Is there's something wrong? What happened" He looked at me for a moment and diverted his gaze to the old woman who was lifeless beside me.

"Ma'am are you alright? Can you hear me?" The dude in a blue hoodie stated calmly. I was impressed on how can he stay calm at a situation like this. I found something in her bag it's like a pen with a tip.

"Here! I found this at her bag that fell onto the floor." He read what is it for and wasted no time and stabbed it on the old woman's right him. I was bewildered but my expression soon replaced with an amazed one when she regained her consciousness

"Call sn ambulance hurry!" I dialed an ambulance and eventually I did it. The ambulance came and the dude in the blue hoodie spoke something that I can't understand.

"Who are you, may I ask?" the one who assisted the old woman to get in the ambulance asked. "I'm Doctor Miller from Shinreju Hospital. The boy nodded and let him hop in. But before they go, The Doctor Miller stopped him and he went to me. I was mesmerized by his gorgeous features. He patted my head and placed my scarf on my neck which I placed earlier on the old woman to be an alternative pillow so she won't hurt her head since she was lying on the cold and hard floor.

"Thank you for saving her." He spoke before hopping in the ambulance and drove away. I was froze in my spot and kept staring at the way were they left. And slowly they disappeared from my sight.

And there I think, I found my future...To be a nurse

Ali's POV

I'm currently at the book store right now. I love reading ever since I started to learn how to, I was looking for some books when I came across a Nursing book entitled "How to get into nursing school" I immediately bought that one and returned home.

"Oh! your beautiful granddaughter is here!" My grandmother yelled, calling my grandfather who was reading a newspaper on his rocking chair. He removed his eyeglasses and starred at me with his joyful expression.

"My precious is here!" my grandfather approached me and caged me into his arms while rocking right and left. He broke the hug and looked at me, his eyes were looking so sad but he is covering it with a smile.

"I'm so sorry that me and your grandmother weren't able to attend your graduation ceremony." He looked at me up and down as I'm still wearing my graduation suit.

"It suits you very well" my grandfather hugged me once again and I also hugged back. I'm literally more than thankful for this wonderful day. I looked at my grandmother while she is staring at us with a wide grin on her face.

I helped them with the household chores and finished half an hour later. "So, do u already have a course on your mind?" I pursed my lips and slowly nodded.

"I'm thinking of becoming a registered nurse." My grandparent's mouth were slightly open, shocked by my words.

"Uhmm are you sure it's your final decision? We don't want to interfere if that's what you really want, but.. aren't you afraid of needles?" I laughed at their concern expression and slowly shake my head as a no.

"I overcame that trauma of mine long ago, there's nothing to worry about" I assured them that I'm already fine. Plus is there a choice if that job is really for me? The time that I met that doctor, I've already seen my path.

The next day I went to Shinreju University to get an entrance examination to get in the Nursing course. Days later I received my results, and surprisingly I actually passed. This is now the start if my journey!

Shinreju Hospital, wait for me... I'm coming!!!!

You're probably bored of reading this so proceed to the next chapter y'all. This 500 word policy is kinda infuriating lol. omg I really need it to be 500!? 5 years later

Finally, I'm here standing in front of my dream job place. Now it's real this time! I'm now a registered nurse..well not yet, I'm here for my training. We need to be trained in all Wards.

I entered and went to the counter and asked where is the Pediatric Ward. The staff asked me where was it. I went there, when I saw someone familiar came out of the operating room looking exhausted and sweating. I..saw him..Daniel Miller

I went in front of him and he was looking at me intensely making me gulp. "Hello, doctor..I like you!" I confessed at him shamelessly making the people gasped even the senior nurses. I thought he was about to pat my head when he just lifted my head up meeting his confused expression.

"Who are you?" I was shocked when I heard it coming from his mouth. "Uhmm on the street of Kentucky! There was an old woman.." I stopped thinking that there was no use of explaining, because his expression didn't even changed at all! goodness how embarrassing.

"Allison.." My co-trainee called my name, both of us looked at the person who called me. "Oh, so you're a trainee huh?"

"Are your brainwaves working properly? I'll never agree if I'm in the same team as you!" He spitted those words leaving me flabbergasted as he walked away.

A senior nurse just approached me and tapped my shoulder. "You.. I'm impressed, you just confessed to the devil!!" I was confused by the devil word.

"What do you mean devil?" I asked in confusion. They kept quiet and whispered. "There's a rumor that he has a personality disorder." His friend slapped his shoulder making him hiss.

"it's not true! it's just that he's often kind to his patients but kind of treating his co-workers cold. But I never find it hard to work with him tho" I nodded in amusement.

"The head nurse assigned you to be in Daniel's team" I immediately shook my head in disagreement, because of what happened earlier, it's too embarrassing for me to face him after my impulsive confession.

"C-can you just assign someone else? We are 2 trainees here, can you just assign me to another doctor pleasee!?" The lead nurse shook her head and went to her seat.

I.. don't know how to react..I was just too shocked..Was he really the Doctor Miller I met 5 years ago!? He looked the same, he didn't aged.. it's just his personality.... he's so,, OMG I can't describe it. My whole system was still froze on the spot, and don't know how to move or react. My whole body feels numb!

"Are you just gonna stand there!?" Doctor Miller shouted from the second floor looking directly at me. I gulped and shouted back "I-I'm coming!"
