“Maybe, but I promised to find you and i will definitely marry you.” Said Kaiden while smiling

A few days later, bad news showed up. It was rumored that Kaiden's family would leave the country and relocate to the states due to their business.

Rafael cried uncontrollably as he found out Kaiden was leaving the country. Rafael cried uncontrollably as he found Kaiden was leaving him.

“Do you think Kaiden will return, Mother?” Rafael questioned, his eyes wide with interest.

“Of course, he will come back, my dear.” His mother responded with a smile.

Rafael was overjoyed, and he sat patiently waiting for Kaiden to return. A few years have passed Rafael eventually forgot about Kaiden and concentrated on his studies, he even earned a Collage Scholarship to the states.

"Hi, can I sit next to you?" the man asked.

"Sure" Rafael replied.

"Thank you" the guy said.

Rafael recognized the man, but he can't recall who it was. Days passed, and they always ran into each other in a cafe. Until they asked each other their names.

“My name is Rafael, and you can call me Rafa."

“My name is Kaiden, but you can call me Kai."

"It's strange that you seemed familiar, but I suppose I mistook you," Rafael said.

“Same goes for me, it was a pleasure to meet you.” Kaiden implied.

“It was also a pleasure to meet you.” Said Rafael

Rafael left the cafe without realizing he had forgotten his scarf. But it was just a coincidence that Kaiden was wearing his scarf. They get to know each other better and better as the days pass. They also discovered that they are childhood friends. Until they have a wonderful relationship and have made wonderful memories. However, things went awry a few months later when Kaiden's wedding was set up by his parents.

Rafael was also invited to Kaiden's wedding, and Kaiden's parents asked Rafael to send Kaiden a message as a bestfriend. The fact that Kaiden's parents are unaware of Rafael and Kaiden's relationship. Rafael walked up to Kaiden and grabbed the microphone. Kaiden was shocked when he noticed Rafael in front of him, holding the microphone while trembling.

“I really adore someone, but he is no longer mine. I recently found that he is engaged with someone, which broke my heart because I really love that guy. I'm not sure why this would be the end of our love story; it is utterly unfair. Why did you leave me full of curiosity, did you even love me for real since that day we met at a cafe? You didn't even return the scarf I left in a cafe, but amidst how much you hurt me, I still love you, and I hope you know that. I'll cherish those wonderful memories we shared for the rest of my life. I’m hoping you’ll do your best for the Woman you’re with. I know it's strange to stand here and say this kind of story, It's just that I wish I'd had the opportunity to experience this special ceremony at some moment in life. I wish Kaiden and Elaiza a happy and wonderful life. Congratulations.”

Rafael broke into tears as he hugged Kaiden one last time.

Rafael whispered to Kaiden, "I love you" as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry, Rafa" Kaiden said while his eyes welling up with tears.

Love can be inconvenient at times.You will fall in love with someone in your life, but it will never be at the right time...

"Mom!!! Can I go outside now?" Rafael approached his mother with the question.

"Okay my dear, make sure you come back before sunset, okay?" Rafael's mother stated.

Rafael was overjoyed and dashed to the playground. He came across a very beautiful boy who'd been sitting alone and crying. Rafael approached him and asked.

"Hello, are you okay? Why are you crying?" Rafael stated.

"What?! Who said I was crying? Who are you?" said the kid.

"Oh, my name is Rafael, but you can call me Rafa instead. What's your name?" Rafael asked.

"I don't care, go away!!!" The kid yelled.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just attempting to help..." Rafael stated that he was about to cry.

A few minutes later, a man approaches Kaiden and grab him. Rafael was worried because the man appeared to be in a state of distress.

"Mister, let go of him, you're hurting him" Rafael stated.

"And who exactly are you?" said the man.

"Father, ignore him; he's just a stranger" the kid stated.

"I told you to stay at home and finish your work, didn't I? Come on, let's go home Kaiden" the man said with a high voice.

"Yes Father" said Kaiden.

Rafael was unfortunately left alone. It broke his heart when Kaiden said he was just a stranger, but Rafael didn't give up and continues to pursue his friendship with Rafael.

"Why are you so annoying?" said Kaiden.

"It's just i wanna be friends with you" said Rafael.

"Is that so? What if i dont want to?" said Kaiden.

"Then I will not give up and will continue pursuing you" said Rafael.

Kaiden's cheeks blushed unexpectedly.

"Hey, why are you so red?" said Rafael.

"What? N-nothing" said Kaiden.

"Kaiden, you know I've had thoughts for you since that day" said Rafael.

"What do you mean? Why are you saying this so sudden?" said Kaiden

"Oh, it's nothing" said Rafael.

"I should go home right now. I'm sure Father is looking for me" said Kaiden

"Okay, be careful. Oh, I forgot to ask you a question" said Rafael

"What is it?" said Kaiden

"Are we now friends?" said Rafael

"I suppose we are. Just don't be bothersome" said Kaiden

Rafael was overjoyed by what Kaiden said. As the days pass, they get closer and closer. The time has come for Rafael to finally tell his mother about his feelings for the boy he likes.

"Mom, I have a crush on someone" said Rafael.

"Who is it, my dear? I'm sure she's lovely" Rafael's mother said.

"He's super beautiful, Mom" said Rafael.

"Oh, it's a boy, then?" Rafael's mother said.

"Do you think it's odd, Mom?" said Rafael.

"I was shocked, to say the least. You know, Rafa, when you like someone, it doesn't matter what their sexuality is; it's all about how you feel for them" Rafael's mother said.

"Mom, I reeeeally, really like him" said Rafael.

"I'm extremely happy for you, sweetie" his mother said with a smile.

"Thank you, Mom" Rafael said while hugging his mother.

After a few days, Kaiden confesses his feelings for Rafael while they're sitting on the grass, looking at the clouds.

"Hey, Rafa" said Kaiden.

"Yes?" said Rafael.

"I think I like you" said Kaiden.

"Really?" said Rafael.

"Yes!" said Kaiden.

"Hey, Kai" said Rafael.

"Yes?" said Kaiden.

"Do you think we'll still be together when we're older?" said Rafael.

"I'm not sure, but I promise I'll find you, marry you, and we'll have the happy life we've always wanted" said Kaiden.

Rafael chuckled. "Really?"

"Yes, because I looooove you, Rafael" said Kaiden.

"Okay" Rafael said with a smile.

A few months later, it was rumored that Kaiden's family would leave the country due to their business in the states. Rafael was devastated that Kaiden will leave him. His mother handed him a letter, which he was told was a letter from Kaiden that he had left for Rafael.

Dear Rafael,

It's unfortunate that my family anticipated to leave the country. Not gonna lie, I really don't want to leave, but I was forced to come. Rafael, please accept my heartfelt apologies. I guarantee that I will return to find you. I'll love you until we met again Rafael...

Rafael shed tears as he read Kaiden's letter. He was deeply touched and hoped Kaiden would come back.

"Mom, do you believe Kaiden will return?" said Rafael.

"Of course, my dear, it it seems that he truly loves you, so don't give up hope" Rafael's mother spoke comfortingly and smiled.

Rafael hugged his mother and said, "Thank you Mother," as his mother smiled at him.

Every minute of every day, Rafael patiently waited for Kaiden to return. Years passed, and Kaiden had not returned, not even a letter. Rafael was depressed and desperate to the point where he lost hope and forgot about Kaiden.

I really don't know. Will Kaiden ever return? But he promised me, but how long will that promise last? I really miss him. Has he forgotten about me? Where is he right now? How foolish I am to be patiently waiting for someone I met when I was a kid. Maybe there's no way we'll ever meet again, Kaiden...

Rafael has graduated from Senior High School after 7 years, and Kaiden has yet to return. Rafael is concentrating on his studies in order to achieve his goals. He even tried to take a scholarship exam to the states.

“Mom, I'm going to leave right now because I might be late for the exam" said Rafael.

“Okay, sweetie, good luck, and remember to pass your exam so you can see Kaiden again” Rafael's mother said.

“Mom, it's been seven years” said Rafael.

“I'm only joking. You'll be late if you don't hurry” Rafael's mother said.

“Goodbye, Mom” Rafael said as he kissed his mother.

Rafael moved out of the house and drove to his location. While looking for the examination room, he ran into an former classmate.

"Heyyyyy, Carlos! Are you here to apply for a scholarship?" said Rafael.

"Oh hello Rafael, yes I'm here for that" said Carlos. 

"Nice, I hope we'll pass together then" said Rafael.

"Yes of course, good luck" said Carlos.

Rafael and Carlos entered their respective examination rooms. Rafael took his seat and began answering questions.

They finished in a few hours. Rafael left the room and immediately search for Carlos.

“Heyy Carlos!!!” Rafael yelled at the top of his lungs.

“Oh hey Rafa, wanna grab launch?” said Carlos.

“Sure” said Rafael.

Rafael and Carlos immediately grab a lauch near the school and have a brief conversation about last summer.

“So, how's your summer going?" said Carlos.

“Oh, everything is fine; I'm just helping my mother and studying; how about you?" said Rafael.

“Oh, it's fine; I'm just taking care of my siblings and studying" said Carlos

“Oh, that's lovely; what are your plans if you pass the exam?" said Rafael.

"Oh, I'm not sure, I hadn't thought about it" said Carlos.

“Okay, maybe if we pass the exam together, we can be there for each other” said Rafael.

“Of course, we're friends, right?” said Carlos.

“Right. I'll go now because my mother is waiting for me” said Rafael.

“Okay, go home safely” said Carlos.

Rafael exited the store and immediately found a Taxi. He arrived safely at home, and her mother greeted him with a kiss and asked him a question.

“So, how are things going?” his mother said.

“Oh, it's great, but the questions are a little difficult” said Rafael.

“Though, let us hope you pass" Rafael's mother stated.

“Yes, they said the results would be visible in a few days, so we'll have to wait” said Rafael.

“Well Sweetie, no matter what happens, I'll be there for you” Rafael's mother said as she hugged him.

“Thank you so much, Mom” Rafael said while hugging his mother.

“Did you eat anything?” his mother said.

“Oh yes, I ran into a friend of mine” said Rafael.

“Okay, go wash your hands now” his mother said.

A few days have passed, and the day has came when Rafael will know the result. Rafael is getting ready when he receives a phone call. He immediately grabs his phone, and it's Carlos he immediately answered it.

“Oh, Carlos, why did you call so sudden?" said Rafael.

"Oh, I was just wondering if I could pick you up?" said Carlos.

“Sure, I'll end this call now i'm getting ready” said Rafael.

"OK bye” said Carlos.

Rafael is still preparing after the call has ended. His mom called him a few minutes later.

“Rafa, your friend has arrived!!!" his mother said.

“Okay, Mom, I'll be there!!!" said Rafael.

Rafael went downstraires as soon as his mother called him.

“Before you leave, eat something” said Rafael's mother.

“Auntie, you don't need to worry about it" said Carlos.

“We're going to be late Mom" said Rafael.

“Okay, bring some sandwiches at least" said Rafael's mother.

“Okay Mom, thank you; by the way this is Carlos" said Rafael.

“Oh Carlos, take care of Rafael please” said Rafael's mother.

“Yes Auntie, and thank you for the sandwich by the way” said Carlos.

"My pleasure, you are such a sweet child; well anyway, go now or you'll be late." said Rafael’s mother.

“Bye, Mom" Rafael said as he kissed his mother.

“Okay good luck, and please keep me updated” said Rafael's mother.

Rafael got into Carlos' car and left the house. Carlo is talking to Rafael while driving to keep him entertained.

"You and your mother appear to be close" said Carlos.

“Yeah, we've been there for each other since then" said Rafael.

“Oh, I see. May I ask you a question?" Carlos stated.

"What is it?" said Rafael.

“Have you ever been in love?” said Carlos.

“Yes, but he's already gone" said Rafael.

"I'm sorry" said Carlos.

"Don’t be, it's fine" said Rafael.

"I have another question" said Carlos.

"Sure, what is it?" said Rafael.

“What is your greatest fear?” said Carlos.

“To lose my mother" said Rafael.

"All right that’s all, I think we're here" said Carlos

"Yeah, I'm a little nervous" Rafael admitted.

"Don't be silly, you're a smart guy, right?" said Carlos.

"Thank you for being there for me, Carlos" said Rafael.

"It's my pleasure" said Carlos.

They got out of the car and immediately looked up their names on the list of passers.

“Hey Rafael, your name is here. Congratulations!" said Carlos

“Are you serious?" Rafael stated.

“Yes, indeed" said Carlos

Rafael took one look at it and immediately became excited to tell his mother that he had passed the exam.

“Carlos, your name is also here" said Rafael.

“Congratulations to us!" said Carlos.

“Then we'll go to states together!" said Rafael.

“Of course! by the way, do you want to grab something to eat?” said Carlos

“Sure” said Rafael.

Rafael received a phone call from his mother while eating and immediately answered it.

“Hello, Mom?" said Rafael.

"Hello, is this Ms.Ceslestiah's son?" the stranger questioned.

“Yes i am, What happened?” said Rafael.

"Sir, your mother is in the hospital right now" the Stranger stated.

“W-what?!” said Rafael.

Rafael was shocked when he heard what the stranger had said. He was terrified and trembling, and he inadvertently dropped his phone.
