If you ask any of the students of the prestigious Meigan University who Kei Tsukishima is, they could answer you in different zones and tones and intentions. Popular? Yes. Cold? If he doesn't like you, yes. Cool? Absolutely. But, all of them would say the same three things about him, that is very true. 

First, he is very hot, top to bottom.

Second, he's a player, for sports and for people's feelings.

Third, he's intelligent. 

And to say he's intelligent in the universe like Meigan? It's like giving a gold medal to the Olympians. 

And then there was another man, who's just as popular as Tsukishima, but in a whole different way. He is known as a tyrant king, ordering and looking down on everyone. He never smiled. He always frowned when the students saw him. He played volleyball as his life depended on it and he barely passed every subject. His name is Tobio Kageyama. 

The common thing that existed between Kei and Tobio was almost non-existent. The only thing that connects them is that they hate each other. 

Yes. Everyone at Meigan University knows. It's not a secret and both the men didn't try to hide it in the first place. 

So, here's the thing or how it actually started, while Tobio is in the Volleyball club, Kei is in the Basketball Club. And both clubs needed to share the court sometimes due to Kei's fan club, who decided it was a good thing to do to support their idol while the basketball club was practicing. That was no trouble at first until the fan club became too overwhelming and started to make some ruckus every time their idol was being shoved or pushed or it seemed like his team was losing at their practices. Which can't be helped at a game, especially a basketball. 

So, to avoid those fangirls who have a lot of time, the basketball club captain, Kei Tsukishima decided it was a good thing to change their practice schedules time and time again. And those schedules involve changing their practice spots in order to avoid the girls. And that was where the ferocious Tobio Kageyama popped up. 

The first time the basketball club showed up to the volleyball court without any warning, everyone was surprised. Especially the volleyball club captain, Oikawa Tooru, and a volleyball idiots’ duo, Tobio Kageyama and Shoyo Hinata. 

But, since that was the first time something like that happened, both clubs did the negotiations calmly and there's not much to say about it since the basketball captain made some thorough excuse, to begin with. So, the volleyball club, which owns the volleyball court, decided to support the basketball club who's going to have a tournament soon. And backed down. The only one who questioned Kei and Tooru's decision was Tobio. But he was shot down easily, quickly, and miserably. So, he went home that day, feeling blue and having a lot of energy.

The volleyball club thought the basketball club would stop showing up unannounced after that one time, but boy were they wrong. Because, after the third time, they have some arguments and a lot of swearing at each other's throats. Even though the volleyball club was doing their best at standing their ground, 10 % due to the absence of their captain, Tooru Oikawa, and 90% due to the smartass and witty comments of Tsukishima Kei, the volleyball members backed down for the fourth time. 

And that is exactly what makes Tobio scooping up the blonde's jersey right now while panting heavily. Ocean eyes glared fiercely at the gold eyes. Tobio was furious, but the blonde was smirking, gold eyes glinting at the raven much to his hatred. 

Tobio’s volleyball was rolling on the floor aggressively. Looking like a sad puppy after being thrown out by his master. But none of them care right now. All eyes were upon the two students. Both were stubborn and too proud to back down, and it was an interesting sight to both teams. 

"Bastard, you were doing this only to avoid your friends, and you made us lose our practice time. Stop this!". The shorter spat heavily. 

Kei smirked, looking like he didn't hear anything, and acted like he was not scooped by his shirt. 

"You know…..I would appreciate it if you listen closely to what I have said before". The blonde says nonchalantly. 

"What you said was Bullshit!" 

"Nope….I'm serious. And I do apologize for the first three, but today, we really have no other place to practice. Our court is being renovated, the court outside there was already filled with uh….girls?". 

"Don't.question.me and I don't believe you in one bit," Tobio said through gritted teeth while shaking Kei jersey. 

The other glared down at him, zero expression on his face, "Could you please release my shirt, your majesty?". 

Tobio wanted to throw a closet. Angry could not explain how he feels right now. He was livid. 

"Don't call me that" he spat. 

"Then, stop grabbing my shirt," Kei responded quickly. 

Tobio would have shaken the blonde to bald. But just as he was about to do what his helpful mind provides him, their vice-captain, Tetsurou Kuroo came forward. Giving his signature smirked at Tobio, which actually made him relent for his about-to-action. 

So, he released the blonde reluctantly, and he sighed while Kei smirked. Tobio really wants to play volleyball right now, they have already lost three practices already. Even skipping one practice was like an extreme punishment to Tobio, so to skip four practices was hell. And he knows he was not the only one who felt that way seeing how anxious Hinata was. 

Tobio looked at their vice-captain sullenly, "Kuroo-san, please, do something". He knew he was being childish, but he couldn't care less right now. 

Volleyball was the only thing he had now.

And he's afraid he will lose it too. 

Kuroo looked at him, and ruffled his hair, Tobio huffed. 

"Let me try to talk to him, okay?" Kuroo smiled at him warmly, so Tobio finally nodded even though he did not have much hope. But he never argued with his senpai's because he was a polite little shit. 

Kuroo turned around and strolled towards the blonde, feral eyes never leaving golds. Kei looked at Kuroo who approached him, and when he met those eyes, he raised his brow and then…. he smirked. 

Tobio squinted at the two tall men who discussed things that have taken too long for whatever that needs to be said. 

"Bakayama, do you think we'll practice?" Hinata said beside him.

Tobio sighed, he hated to say this, but, "I have a feeling we'll not practice today Boke. " 

"Wha-why??". 

Tobio once again looked at the two men and sighed again. He just can't explain the sexual atmosphere between the two men to Hinata here. He already knew from the campus gossip that the basketball captain was fooling around, taking whatever caught his eyes but none of them hated him even though he never cared about them afterward and acted like he didn't know them. And their vice-captain? Kuroo-san was a womanizer, that was a universal truth. And Tobio has a feeling that Kuroo-san was not only experimenting on women as well. 

Just as he tried to tell Hinata about his assumption, Kuroo turned around and smirked at them like a champion. 

He looked around his teammates and started to speak to them, "I'm sorry guys, we'll have to skip this time," he said while not looking sorry at all. 

Thought so.

Upon hearing what Kuroo had said,  some of them groaned and Tobio could clearly hear  Bokuto-san's whining childishly. So, he was not the only one who hated this.

But that doesn’t mean he hated the basketball club any less. He glared sharply at the blonde, who stood proudly while giving an intense stare to their vice-captain’s ***. Tobio wants to smack that face. 

“Bakayama…..come on!! Kuroo-san said we could play on the outside court.” Hinata shouted cheerfully, fully forgetting his previous sulking not long ago. Just like Bokuto-san.  

“Tch….whatever”. He picked up his forgotten ball and went towards the locker room without giving a glance to the whooping basketball team. But, just as he was leaving with his bag, the blonde had the nerve to call him again. 

“Hey king, you forgot something?” 

Tobio looked back, glaring at the blonde, “No” he stated bluntly. 

Kei looked around and smiled like a devil, “Good to know, don’t want your belongings to lay around here”. And he turned his back towards Tobio. He spun the ball flawlessly and started to play with his teammates. 

Tobio was surprised, pissed, and speechless, and all he could say was,” What?!!” and when he looked at the basketball team who were playing like they didn’t see him, he shut his mouth. Frowned so heavy and open the door and walked outside while planning the cruelest murder, his mind could show helpfully. 

That bastard will regret being born.

“Hey….you’re up early” the groggy voice came behind him. Kuroo looked back and saw the man, who took his virginity, splaying in the bed, looking like a Greek god. 

“Yea” he smirked at the blonde. “I usually woke up earlier than I always have when I did not sleep on my bed”. 

 “Make sense, did you hurt?” Kei stood up from his bed and looked at Kuroo curiously. 

“Nope, not that hurt, I can feel it though”. 

“Never thought that you’ll give me your first, I’m honored”, Kei smirked at Kuroo. 

“You should be, now, I have to go, I have class, practice, and a kouhai to soothe later”.

Kei raised his brow, “ And who that might be?” 

Kuroo put on his t-shirt haphazardly, “The one who grabbed you yesterday,”

“Heh...but why though ? It's almost like you treat him like a baby” Kei snorted. Thinking of the blue livid eyes. 

“Yep, he’s a baby, he’s only 17, and he’s blunt as hell, he told me he hates me in our group chat ,“ Kuroo chuckled, thinking back about Tobio’s angry mood, “He’s such a child, I sometimes wonder how can he still survive in this university without being hunted by a dangerous woman, “ 

When he heard no response from Kei, Kuroo turned to the man, “Hey, what’s wrong? “ Kuroo asked, looking uncomfortable. 

Kei blinked and blinked again, and he looked at Kuroo, “Oh, nothing, so, that baby of yours is only 17 huh,? Could’ve fooled me,” 

Kuroo was surprised because this man has never asked about the other ever since Kuroo knew him, and that was about two years ago when they met in this campus party, they acted as a distant friend until last night. Kei is never interested in other's life even if he slept with them multiple times, that is why Kuroo finds it odd when Kei asked him about Tobio, but didn’t comment on the unusual interest in Tobio.

"He is a lot of things, Tsukki. You just didn't see through him. He's a softie". Kuroo put on his jeans. Rubbing his rooster hair unintentionally. 

"Uh-huh, I will keep them in mind," Kei responded vaguely. 

Kuroo looked at the man, who started to lay on the bed again, "That will be good. And don't try to fight with him when he tells you he hates you, just say okay. He'll cool down himself. "

Kei raised his brow. Looking at Kuroo daringly. 

Kuroo shook his head, sighing, "Told you, he's just a baby and you pissed him off yesterday and now, he's sulking because of you and me. And if I don't do something about him, our Capt' will never forgive me," 

Kei already closed his eyes, ready to drift off again, but he opened his damn mouth, "Why would your Capt' would do something like that?"

Kuroo sighed heavily, like the question was not his first time he was being asked, 

"Because, our Capt' eyes and heart are glued on him,"

Gold eyes snapped open, "Oikawa??"

"Uh-huh, but he didn't want to admit it though." Kuroo took his phone and opened the door, "Then, see ya' " he smiled at Kei and closed the door quickly. 

Not knowing he left a bewildered Kei. 

Later that day, Tobio was walking around since they can’t practice indoors, he didn’t think that going early like the other day would be necessary as the outside court is not their own so some of the other students sometimes play it too but just for fun. But his stupid *** betrayed him and before he knew it, he was already on the outside court and he cursed himself when some of the students turned towards him. Tobio could see from his standing position that some of them were frowning at him while some of them acted like they didn't care and he could see two or more students beckoning silently to each other. He sighed. That is why he hates being with others besides his teammates. His reputation was not good before and he doesn’t want to go through something like that again. Now, he has half a mind of turning around and skipping today’s practice. And he turned around. 

“Tobio-kun?” and that stopped him. 

Because he knows that voice, clearly. 

“It is really you!!” 

Tobio dumbfounded, “uh” 

The man who called him smiled a little, there’s a mirth in his eyes, “You already forgot me, huh, I’m hurt”. 

He walked up to Tobio more quickly than one could’ve thought and then they were facing each other. Blue eyes widened. 

“Miya-san??” 

Atsumu laughed, “Yes, that’s more like it, you really didn’t recognise me, huh” he shook his head. 

Tobio was taken aback, “No….uh, I mean, your hair is um”

“Yeah, it’s black. I know. I decided to go back to its natural color, how is it?” 

“It looks good on you. You are handsome Miya-san, I think it doesn’t matter which color it is”. 

Atsumu looked surprised for a second and he laughed again, “You are still the same huh,”

Tobio frowned, “I never changed, Miya-san,”. 

Behind Atsumu, there were some students who looked at them warily once in a while and some of them looked surprised when they saw Atsumu laughing freely at the tyrant king. But, Atsumu didn’t care about them. He looked at Tobio again, “Where is Shoyo-kun? You are in the same university right?” 

“That dumbass is always late, so  I went without him and I’m early anyway. “ 

“That’s great, then. Come, play with us, we need a setter”

“Oh, uh” before he could find some excuse to decline the offer, Atsumu grabbed him and he stood with the students who looked at him warily. The one who looked at him like he was scared of him was the first to talk to him, much to Tobio’s surprise, “Hi, name’s Daiki, let’s have fun, yeah?” He looked nervous as hell. And Tobio didn’t know why Daiki decided to talk to him when he was scared to death. 

“Tobio-kun, no frowning, they will think that you don’t like them”. 

That woke him up, so he nodded dumbly to Daiki, which made the other man smile a little. And beside the nervous Daiki, there was a large man and Tobio bowed a little, “Good to see you again Ushijima-san” . The stoic man just nodded his head and both understood what does not say. And that’s okay. 

“Hey hey, let’s start, others are going to come soon” the voice was from the other side of the net and the three men looked at the man who waved happily, Atsumu looked at the man and laughed, “Hoshi-kun, you are just like Shoyo-kun”. Tobio knew that man, he jumped like a monster. He has seen him during their high school tournament. 

Then, there are others who look suspicious to the situation they are in right now, but Tobio didn’t know how to ensure them, so he just nodded at them. And they looked surprised seeing him do something only others usually do, and he frowned again. What is with them? But after a while, they started to warm up to him and since Atsumu and Hoshiumi were so comfortable around him, they tried to act like they weren't afraid of him. Tobio couldn’t care less, as long as he can play volleyball, that was enough. 

And play they did. 

He was so into the game that he nearly forgot that they had practice until the dumbass started to call out to him loudly. He almost dropped the ball. He glared at the walking tangerine who smiled like a solar system. 

"Dumbass, don't shout like that" he said harshly. Daiki, and the other who sat on the bench, flinched a little when they heard him talking to Hinata. But, the dumbass didn't care and ignored him totally when he saw Atsumu.

"Woah!!!....Miya-san!!! Woahhh...you look cool!!". Hinata hugged the smiling Atsumu. 

Atsumu hugged back the tangerine, he laughed loudly, "Now….that reaction is what I'm expecting" 

Asahi came behind Hinata, "Wow, you look cool, Miya" he looked surprised. 

Atsumu smirked, "I know". 

Sakusa snorted beside them, "The nerve" he muttered. 

"What did you just say, Omi-Omi?" Atsumu asked while trying to touch his jacket. 

Sakusa looked disgusted by the action, "Don't. You. Dare. Miya." He backed quickly. Avoiding the hand. 

"Oh! Waka-kun!!" Tendou waved his long arms wildly while running towards the group, "What are you doing here?".

Ushijima looked like he wanted to run away, but he faced Tendou seriously, "We always come here, if we have time. " 

Tendou laughed freely, "Not the answer of my question," he saw Ushijima frowned, clearly thinking about what answer he wanted from him, "Don't worry about it, Waka-kun.  We were here to play as well since we can't have the court" he finished absent-mindedly. 

"What? What happened to your court?" It was the wild Hoshiumi who questioned. 

Hinata lifted his chest for no reason. Tobio snorted beside him, which earned him a hard glare from the tangerine. 

"Well….the basketball-"

"Just ask the rooster," Sakusa mumbled.

"What does that mean??" Atsumu seemed more and more invested, desperately looking between Tendou and Sakusa. 

"Our vice capt' got railed by the capt' of the basketball club, and since he got a worthy achievement, he agreed to give them our court for a while," Sakusa informed them. 

There was silence. 

Then, a loud laughter. 

"What?? Oh my!! " Atsumu and Hoshiumi laughed loudly, Tendou crackled beside the confused Ushijima. Tobio frowned so hard while Hinata was beet red. 

"When did that happen? I thought Tetsu-kun was straight??" Atsumu was wheezing..

"Me too. But, can't blame him, that blonde is hot as ****". Tendou replied nonchalantly. 

"Must be it. To think there would be a man who Tetsu-chan wants to spend the night with, who was he anyway? Do I know him?" 

"Oh hey!! So sorry I'm late." Noya-san was jumping, "Did you talk about last night's lover?"

"Oya oya?" Bokuto suddenly appeared. Looking interested. 

"Yep…..tell me, stubborn-kun, who is he?" Atsumu wiggled his eyebrows at Noya-san. 

"Tsukishima Kei,our university basketball captain," he replied easily.

"What!!" Hoshiumi and Atsumu and the other unknown names besides them shout at the same time. 

Tobio flinched a little due to the sudden shriek. 

"That guy? We know him." Hoshiumi continued, "He is really popular in the Jackals. Everyone said he is a player!".

Atsumu nodded his head ,"Yea…. where's Kuroo anyway? "

"He can't practice today due to some reasons," Sakusa stated dryly. 

"Tell him to be careful, the man he got wild with is dangerous" Atsumu said grimly. 

And Tobio didn't doubt that one bit.
