"OK mom...Yes..I'll be careful, I know the train station has weird people..Love you, bye." I said into my phone.

jeez, my mom worry's to much, why would someone want to kidnap me? I look hideous compared to other girls my age.I'm ling-long, 14 in Korea.I'm not the best looking, freckles, muddy-hazel eyes, tanned skin, and my long brown wavy hair. Boys make fun of me because of how much of a nerd I am.Girls invited me to hang-out, but then I ended up embarrassed by them. I've lived a lonely life ever since I was little, because I have an American father.It's the year of 2021, and it didn't bother me any more. I went to the ticket booth, A tall woman with a sharp jaw and short died-blond hair stood there, staring at her phone. I knocked on the glass, she jumped and said

" Dear! I got carried away! Where to miss?"

I answered " Um, down town Korea."

She typed on her computer, then handed me a gold ticket.I handed her back 20$, and bowed to  thank her.

I was on the train at 8:00 , later than usual.When I boarded the train, no one was there.I sat by the doors and texted my mom :

On my way back now.I'll text you later, when I get home.

I sighed and leaned back in the chair, Maybe i got here earlier than the past few days.The Train lurched faster, I clung to the railing.it kept going faster, faster, and faster. I might faint, or throw-up.I don't do good with speed. The train didn't stop or slow down.It sped up faster and faster. I cant take this! Someone stop the train! My body went limp, and I fell backwards.I had fainted.I woke up under a..oak tree?! I was just in a train, heading home. I staggered up, My purse was still on my shoulder. My body ached as if I had jumped out of a 12 foot tree. Howling came from all around me, and I froze.What did dad say about howls when we went camping.....

"Ling, do you hear the howls? Depending on the pitch it could be wolves, tigers, foxes.High pitched howls are wolves and foxes.Low pitched more of a growl, is tiger or jagwire!"

I snapped back to now, is it high? or low!? I listened, low and high?! I ran to the left as fast as I could, glad I wore my vans instead of high-flats today.My purse is the only thing that made sense,why would I be in the middle of nowhere, instead of the train? why was I running to, when I should of just stayed put and yelled for help! I peeked behind me.A tiger, fox, loin, and ... a peacock? The 4 chased me down where ever I went.Left, right, up down. Until I tripped on a rock, and fell into a pile of stones. They circled me, seagulls on a piece of bread.Tears streamed down my face.I'm only 14 and I die!? my muddy-brown eyes clouded, and bottom lip quivered.The Four stopped, and sat down.They slowly melted into ... men?!

I screamed and jumped back, drops of tears still on my face. One of the men, walked towards me and Said

" Hi female! i'm Mich, who are you? The game of chase we played was fun!"

I must be dreaming?! The man had Tiger ears and a tail. I rubbed my eyes hard and blinked hard, still there.

"I-i'm Ling-long!And I thought you were gonna kill me!'' I cried to him

He blinked and said " Sorry, I got excited.We haven;t seen a new female in these parts for months! Years I say!"

I stood up and patted myself off. Females, as in women for years?! poor guys! I nodded and then patted the rest of the dirt off of my legs.

" How many females have you met? I know where many are, prettier than me too." I told them

They looked astonished at me, as if I was the best they've seen. The boy, Mich answered

" we know where many females live, but they are disgraceful to our eyes!"

I gasped and frowned. Disgraceful to their eyes? could the girls here look that bad?

Another man walked up to me and said

"I'm Kiki, nice to meet you Ling-long! I would like to ask if you could be my female!"

My face went blank.Is this how people here ask to date you? It's not decent...but ok. I put my hair behind my ear

"why would you want to court someone as ugly as me? All the other males where I come from told me I was ugly and the females mocked my face as Muddy."

Kiki's mouth dropped and he said

" Who ever told you that deserves to die in a cave, with out a mate!Don't worry Ling-long, i'll love you for the rest of my life!"

I smiled, I guess i could say yes.

"Than yes, I can be your mate or female"

In a instant Kiki picked me up, off my feet. I held onto his neck, if I didn't I would have fell onto the stones again.

I didn't know which animal he was, because he didn't have a tail or ears.

" what animal are you?" I asked nicely.

He smiled wide, and said proudly

" I am a peacock, with the best feathers!"

I giggled, and pinched his cheek.

"than lets see them, cute guy"

Kiki put me down, and in a POOF, he turned into the most handsome peacock  I've ever seen. His feathers were green , blue, and bright purple.

"Hey! stop showing off, look at me ling-long! my fox fur is the best!" one of the boys said to me.

I looked in his direction and he turned into a beautiful fox with flaming red fur. I blushed pink, and squatted down to pet him.So soft!
