One late afternoon, Seoul.

Half awaken, Kim woke up from the sound of her phone ringing..

"Hello? Who's calling?" Asked Kim.

The person who called her didn't say anything but keeps giggling.

"Hey Kim! It's me Jaz, your highschool bestfriend. This is my phone number, save it. We've lost contact since we graduated.." said the person over the phone.

"Oh hi Jasmine! How is it going?"

"Great! Oh and, by the way, it's your birthday today, right? Why don't we go celebrate?"

Feeling confused, Kim checked the calendar. It's 7th June, her birthday. She totally forgot all about her birthday due to her business. However..

"Oh right! It's my birthday. How could I forget about it? But.."

"There's no BUT, you have to attend your own birthday celebration!" said Jasmine.

"Look.. I'm busy nowadays and don't even have time to even think about visiting my parents in Daejeon. I'm pretty busy today and I don't think it's necessary to celebrate my birthday." replied Kim.

"No way, Kim! C'mon I'll make it up to you for not finding you after we lost contact. I miss you so much, Kim! We're bestfriend for over 5 years back in highschool.. You've never skipped a single invitation to parties.." said Jasmine in a persuasive voice.

"Fine.. Alright then, meet me at Honey Hub."

Feeling reluctant to skip her job tonight, she still misses her friend and wants to meet them. How could she not meet her bestfriend, Jasmine, whom she has lost contact after graduating.

Calling to her boss, telling him that she couldn't make it tonight.

I am Kim, a normal girl who works at a bakery, in the morning. Being a chef sounds fun since I loved baking. Cookies, cupcake, bread, cake.. anything! I can make any thing because I'm the best pastry chef in this bakery.

Little did they know, at night, I work at a small night club, not doing any dirty jobs though.. I am just a typical matchmaker. The club is known as Seoul Paradise which is a small club opened by my friend, which is my boss nowadays.

Jasmine's parents are rich, and so are mine. I don't need money, they send me 3k a month for my living, they even bought me a house at Seoul, not just any house but a villa! They love me so much and so do I, but It all changed because of this one pact which was created by the elders, my grandma and her childhood bestfriend.

Grandma Hayley is a very nice and kind person whom doesn't take back her words. Grandma Hayley's bestfriend suggested that their grandchild should marry each other when they grow up, if both of the grandchildren are of opposite genders.

Grandma was just joking at that time by agreeing to it. After I grew up, Her bestfriend still remembered that promise that grandma said to her. Then they forced me to get engaged with Bai family's only son, Bai Li.

As I remembered, Bai Li only paid me a visit twice since we were children. He doesn't have any feelings for me, and neither do I.

Judging from his character, he's a very stubborn, arrogant, bossy and is a very classy person which I meant to say, he acts like a high-class person whom expects everything to be perfect around him. He's not 100% Korean. Half french, half Korean but was forced to move here to Korea so that his family and mine could be closer.

The Bai family has been trying to please my family, known as the "Laure Family", came to visit me more often and even keeps on persuading me to accept Li.

Well.. what did I do?

Of course, I escaped marriage by coming here to Seoul and lives here alone, meanwhile they are all in Daejeon. I'm fine staying here alone because staying here, I have all of my freedom.
