Unexpected Event

" Hello Ms. June? You are almost done with the regestration, all you need to do is hand over the signed papers and we're all set.

"Alright, Thank very much. I am going there right now. Good bye."

"I can't believe it, I am one step away of my journey to becoming a professional ballerina. After all this, I will celebrate wait no I will call Dylan first about what to do or may I should call Paula. Ahh!! I'm to excit-"

"Ouch, my head hurts so much. Why are there sirens, an ambulance? I don't get what is happening......"

"Make way, make way! Patient 1638 Harper June, 17 years old, losing blood, severe injuries on the lower and upper body parts due to a car crash, call her relatives." said the nurse.

Harper was confused not knowing she was in the hospital.

"Harper? HARPER?! Quick call the doctor my daughter is waking up!"

"Mom, what is happening...Ouch" "Don't worry honey, everything will be alright........"

"Excuse me, are you the patient's relatives?" "Yes, yes that is us doctor. What happened to our daughter, is she okay?"

"Well luckily she arrived here on time, we were able to treat her wounds and her upper body part survived but her legs din't. The patient's legs weaken but it could be healed though the healing process takes time, about 5 to 6 years."

"Doctor...Is there any other way than that? Supposedly today our daughter was almost to achieving her dream."

"Well.....We could try the other healing method, the recoverment could take up to 2 to 3 years but it is very risky. The patient is awake now, I'll leave matters you to talk about this and we'll discuss about this later."

"Alright, Thank Doctor."

"Mom, dad...Why am I here? What happened to me?"

" Honey, you got in a car crash while on the way to the agency. You got here on time and the hospital called us. Your upper body part survived but your legs weaken and you need leg support now. The doctor said that there is still hope, your legs could recover but it takes atleast 5 years for the normal process but we knew that you wanted to become a ballerina badly ever since you were a child so we discuss with the doctor any other ways. The other method could take up 2 to 3 years of recoverment but he said it is very risky. Either you could heal at a minimum time or you could not ever stand on your feet again."

"Mom, I know you are worried about me but it took me years of hard work to achieve my dream. I am not willing to give up. Mom, dad I hope you accept me when I am disabled in the future."

"Ohh Honey, no matter what part is left with you, we will always love you and care for you. We understand you decision. Have some food first then rest while we discuss it with the doctor."

"Alright Mom."

Happiness and Warmth

While Mr. and Mrs. June discuss with the doctor, Harper got a surprise visitor.

"Harper! Are you alright? How are you feeling do you need anything?

"Dy...Dylan?

"Your parents said that only your legs need repairing, don't tell me your brain needs repairing too."

"Hey, relax. I was only joking around. I remember who you are. You are JD.........Jazz Dylan, a hiphop dancer and my childhood bestfriend."

"Alright, you remember me. Then who is this girl?"

Dylan took out his phone with a picture of a girl.

"That is...Paula Dante. My bestfriend."

"Glad you rembered. Well, I'm off now since you remember who I am. Bye!"

"Wait! Don't go yet, what if I really lost my memory?"

Dylan slowly went back to Harper's bed. He leaned in closely to her and whispered something to her.

"Then I will tell you that, I JD is your sweet, loving and caring........boyfriend."

He whispered sofly to Harper. He leaned in much closer and gently bit her ear.

"Dyla..DYLAN! I.....I, What are you saying? and why did you do that?"

"Relax, I was only joking. Wait a minute, Din't I already heard that? Haha, have a taste of your own medicine!"

Dylan spoke with joy while he left Harper red like a tomato.

"Hey! I'm still a patient. Why are you bullying me? Huhu, Your mean!"

"Alright I'm sorry my princess. What punishment do have in mind for me?"

Dylan walked closer, picked up Harper's hand and kissed it gently.

"Hmph! You peasant! I am not a princess, I am a queen. Now I will double up your punishment. Haha!"

"Forgive me, Your highness."

"For your punishment, you must buy me bubble tea and a box of sweets"

"Yes your majesty but isn't bad for your health specially in this condition?"

"You are just trying to make an excuse but you are right. Huhu, no bubble tea."

Harper wriggled like a worm then felt pain on her back.

"Ouch!"

"Harper! What happened? You should behave, your not a child anymore."

"My back hurts so much!"

Suddenly Dylan's hands were at my back. He was massaging me. I no longer Felt pain anymore.

"Thank...Thank you Dylan."

Dylan remained silent. He just kept on massaging me.

"Your welcome, my queen."

Dylan said while putting his chin on Harper's should and his arms around her waist. Like a back hug.

"Sleep well, you have a big day tomorrow."

"But I can't fall asleep. Dylan, can you stay with me for a while? I feel much more happier with you around."

"If you feel comfortable then I will. Let's watch a movie."

In my times when I was helpless, Mom, Dad and Dylan were always by my side. It would be nice if we could bond once more. Well, tomorrow is one big day. I hope everthing goes well. This decision of mine is by far the riskiest I have ever made.
