AREUM was already at the edge of victory when a call intervened the game that made her lose. "Huh? No~" she whined, before answering the phone.

Today was exactly one of her worst days. First, she got fired on her job, just because she is always a wreck, according to her boss. But she, herself, don't see some wreckage on her work. She don't get late, she works well and even do overtime every time she's stressed out. And that could be everyday or thrice a week.

Well, that wasn't the worst for her. The worst was when she got dumped by her future husband, just because she has some imperfect flaws, saying she had a problem that she should fix, and even saying she's not the type of woman, every guy wants. The guy also said some meanful things to her, via text. Areum didn't care though, because she thought she's already perfect. And, he wasn't the type to cry about but at the same time, she regret not changing her flaws he had seen, for their make-up because, he was her jackpot. But still she didn't care. She still don't care, because it was just a normal break-up for her.

"Yes, who's this?" Areum said with a lazy tone on the phone. She was expecting Soobin or somebody else, but she never expected her mom to call.

"Mom?" she surprisingly said, before looking at the phone screen, to believe if the call was really legit. It was her mom.

She was surprised for her mom to call her because, it's been a while when she last called her. She can't remember the last, but she knows it was a long time ago.

"Oh my daughter, it's nice to hear your voice again," her mother said on the phone with a happy-sad tone. Areum can't help but smile. Her mother still didn't change after a long time. She is still the best actress.

"What's up, mom?" she asked in an unrespectful tone, the usual tone she gives to unrespectful people. Yes, like her mother.

"We had a family dinner tonight," her mother said, not even noticing the tone her daughter gave her.

"Wow, why are you inviting me, not Min-ha, your favorite daughter?" Areum asked annoyingly. When she said that, it almost made her heart break.

"She said she's busy tonight, so she can't come. She asked me to invite you so," her mother said, "Come!"

Areum can't believe what she just heard. Come? Is she telling me to come, eventhough I don't want to?! Areum never came to their family's dinner, since their family wasn't really hers. Her family was long gone. She never had a family, in the first place.

"I have work today," she said, which was a total lie. But it just made the whole conversation more confusing and long, which made Areum mad.

"What are you saying?! I heard you got fired!"

"What? How did you knew about that?" Areum asked, total surprised. When she was fired, she told noone about it, even not Soobin. Unless...

"Because I was watching you! I got contact with your boss and I always ask if you're fine or not, or what mess are you making at your useless job! You should be glad I am still concerned about you!" Her mother stated.

No. It wasn't concern for her. More like, stalking. Ever since Minha was born, her mother never took care of her, just because Minha was much prettier than Areum. And she hated her because of that.

"Did you... made my boss fire me?" Suddenly that question, just came out of Areum's mouth. She wasn't sure if her mother did made the boss fire her but, she suddenly had some thoughts on her mind. That maybe, her mother did get her fired or something else. And she wasn't expecting her answer.

"Mmmm... Not me, somebody else did." her mother said, and she can feel that her mother was smiling through the phone. She sighed. What the hell is going on in her life? She felt the same pain, she had felt when she was only a child. She let out a small laugh, before answering her mother.

"Okay, I'lll go tonight. It'll probably be fun," She said smiling, but she wasn't sure, IF she will have fun.

"Okay?! That's cool! See you tonight! And make sure you dress elegantly, don't disappoint us dear. Bye!" her mother said in a live and happy tone, before ending the call.

She sighed after the call. Her thoughts were already over her head, probably eating her mind. She can't believe, someone had made her boss fire her. Who is that someone? It may be Minha or her mother, may be her mother was LYING. Maybe... maybe her mother's new husband did it. It could be someone in those three for her.

She picked up her phone and started texting Phoebe, one of her online friends, from USA. Since, she has no one to talk to, except for Soobin, who is almost busy, she downloaded an app, where she can meet new friends. And that's a childish thing for her to do.

then Areum's doorbell rang.

I had some kind of visitor

"Wait," Areum went to her door and looked outside. No one was there. She opened the door and looked outside. No one was there. Except for a pink box. She was wondering who the hell place the cute pink box at her porch.

She picked it up and shaked it. Something was inside. She looked at the box and found her name in the note sticked to it. The note says, "Wear it," which made her wonder what was inside the box.

She went back to the couch after she closed the front door. She examined the box over and over again, until she had an idea of where it came from. It wasn't from the mail, it was only placed in her porch. Of course, who wouldn't think of that?

Areum opened the box and saw a silver necklace with a moon in it. She was famillarized by the necklace but she didn't know where she had seen it. She observed what's inside the box and saw a folded paper.

This thing is super interesting, her mind thought. She opened the note and saw handwritten texts:

......"Wear the moon necklace and it will save you from the bad events that'll happen to you.......

...Believe and do every single thing she say to you, to have the perfect marriage you want to have, too"...

"What? Perfect marriage? Am I getting married?" Areum mumbled. That was a scam, she thought. She is not married and she doesn't care about a single bad thing that is happening in her life. She always thought, let her fate do it wants to her and lead her to her destination, so whenever she has some bad happenings in her life, she don't take right action.

Even though she didn't believe in what she thought, 'nonsense,' she was amazed by the beauty of the necklace and she wore it around her neck.

"Ah, it's so pretty," she mumbled as she smile at the mirror. The necklace was a total gorgeous for her. It has some shimmering moon and it was more prettier than her, as she thought.
