Fault Recrimination

001 Blood Lotus of Silvestre

Revenge would be sweet if we did it quietly and it would be sweeter if we striked the target explicitly when the target began to distinguish it. With this semiconscious credence, River De Avila halted his car at the parking lot of the Blood Lotus Club with a malice grin.

His hand proceeded to unbotton his button-up shirt for another two buttons more to reveal his smooth chest. The dark red of his shirt contrasted with his fair, Asian skin that offered a flirtatious look to any eyes to regard.

After a few second staring at the rear-view mirrow and tousled his black locks to create a sexy look, he took a deep, shaky breath to gather his confidence before he shoved the car door open. A whiff of fresh, cold air lightly slapped his exposed body when he tramped to the nightclub's entrance for contrived his sortie.

There were only a few people were queued along the long, dusty track that led up to the club's entrance before River's turn came to face with the gatekeeper. From afar he could already feel the stares of the bouncers were on him as he slid a black sunglasses steadily.

Maybe it was not a good idea to wear an oversized, black sunglasses for the night and his act only captivated the daunting bouncers even more. When the girl infront of him was refused entry by the bouncer, his lean, sleander body slightly squirmed under the eyes of the five members of gatekeepers.

"Next." It was quick and firm. The word flew out from the gatekeeper's mouth without a second thought for River to open his mouth.

"Hey, man." River initiated with a camouflaged shaky breath. "I have to meet your boss." He fought the intense glare.

"Next." The word became more assertive and harder than before but River remained obstinate with his stance althought he could feel his vitality and confidence began to plunge into the ground bit by bit.

"I'm De Avila's." River said firmly and vaguely propelled the oversized glasses below his nose to sanction a better look for the gatekeeper while imposed his family's mark just below the clavicle around his shoulder blade.

The brawny gatekeeper contemplated for a mare second before he decided for once again. "Pass." Eventually, another gatekeeper opened the massive door for the son of the De Avila.

River swiftly marched inside the exclusive and notorious club owned by the Silvestre. As a 22 years old young man it was something new for him to step inside the nightclub all alone by himself and not to mention after he misused De Avila's tatto's symbol.

Despite the fact, his family comprehended with the underworld, he on the other side was left to live his life in darkness. However, the De Avila's blood inside his body was never failed to encounter something off but it was not enough to disintegrate his perspective of him living in the darkness.

Since in his childhood, he knew his family was involved with the underworld. Gun, blood, money, transgression, violation were something he learnt along his growth until now. And it was not going to stop until he died because he was one of the De Avilas.

However, as a De Avila nightclub was not his thing. Pub was the only place he went with his friends for some drinks and maybe girls. The magical world of disco lights, laser beamed and the irreplaceable glow of black lights shinning on people made he grimaced in disgust.

There were too many people squashed like sardines and the music were too loud for his good hearing. River jostled the sweating, almost n**** bodies as he roamed looking for a bar or at least a 'quieter' place to clear his foggy mind.

River needed to figure a plan to confront his prey, Enrique Silvestre. The idea of the another group of brawny watchdogs inside the club building to keep an eye on the wild, energetic dance floor was never in his mind.

After a few minutes scrambled and struggled throught the sea of sweating poeple, River arrived at the almost full bar. He took a seat and requested a mojito mocktail to the muscular bartender. All the time he locked his eyes on an entrance that was occupied by two buff guards. The door was the only path led to another floor.

"First of all, you need to take off your glasses." The bartender suddenly spoke up in deadpan while his hands casually wiping a glass. When the young man came to approach him, it was too obvious the man had something inside his head. Nobody in their straight mind would wear a pair of black glasses when they were entering the club and attracted the watchdogs' attention.

"Only a few people can pass the door." The bartender added. Hesitantly, River obeyed the bartender's hint and hooked his glasses over his loose neck of the shirt.

"What are you doing here, kid?" Once again the bartender spoke up as he pushed a glass of coke for the man to replace the empty mojito. "This is not a place to play around." His voice was hard, flat and sounded like a warning throught River's ears.

However the young man of De Avila wilfully sniggered before he raised his eyes to meet with the bartender's impassive gaze. "Thank for the advice." River enunciated in a low tone. "Do you have any information about the boss?"

How could River didn't know about the particular informations. Silvestre and his family were in the same métier. He knew the Blood Lotus belonged to the Silvestre, the most powerful man that his old man needed the most. He eavesdropped on his old man's dispute between his subordinates and also his big brother.

"The boss, coming." The bartender proclaimed a bit harder than before but River was thoroughly ingored him. His blue orbs swiftly shot to the guarded entrance and to his favour the young Silvestre was staring at him unreadable and menacing gaze.

Fault Recrimination

002 The Thrilling of Waiting

River kept his eyes on the Silvestre as the intimidating human being trod to the main entrance where it was leading to the massive main door from where he had came. A frown of confusion lightly engraved on his face when he noticed the Silvestre was all alone by himself despite his almighty status.

Living as a De Avila he mostly perceived with a sight of his old man always encompassing by his minders especially when he left the main house. Minders seemed an important thing for his family and even his older brother had his own minders or surbodinates to protect himself. And it was not only ended there because River himself had his own minders, they were trailing and fortifying behind him.

"Where he's going?" River asked reverting his eye to the bartender that was preparing a drink for his patron.

"Why?" The bartender questioned nonchalantly before he propelled a ready liquor to a waiting young man as he had no intention to provide another information for River. Another information slipped from his lips meant he indirectly put himself into tribulation with the gang.

"When does he come back?" Utterly shut one's eyes to the bartender's inquiry, River bambarded the older man with another question, though the older man's lips thinned in a straight line, deadly adamant with his perspective.

A few minutes later, the bartender completely neglected the young man for his work. River's orbs wandered around the jumbled dance floor while every so often his gaze would retrograde to the main entrance for his intimidating prey.

After almost two hours River stayed put at the bar, he groaned in a great irritation and comtemplated either he needed to wait for him for a few more minutes or went home and ditched his master plan. But the most important thing was, if he walked out of this place, he were absolutely done.

Leonardo De Avila was the next heir to run Santiago De Avila's empire. Despite the fact Leonardo was a busy man to handle and comprehended with his family's empire he still had some time to keep track of his only little brother.

However, his little brother on the other side was not fond with Leonardo's attentiveness like right now. River knew when he first stepped out of the building, his brother's hired guards would drag him to their main house and this day would be the last day he drove a car by his own hands.

River was certain that his brother would tighten up his surveillance on himself and he would never step his foot inside the building again and also missed his only chance to take a revenge on his target. Therefore, by hook or by crook he needed to confront Enrique Silvestre before the minders dragged him to his brother.

"Where the hell is your boss?" River muttered under his breath in the same time he fixed his eyes on the main entrances and to his worthwhile, the intimidating man came into his view.

"Finally." River sighed loudly. His gaze shortly glued on the man's stoice face before he partically ran accross the wild dance floor and when he was about to grasp the arm of the intimidating man, in a blink of an eye he was powerfully slammed into a wall.

"F***." A faint whimpered of curse escaped River's lips when his chest collided into the hard wall to cause him felt slightly breathless. Luckily, his head barely got hit against the wall thought his lower lip was already burst with trickled blood when it was jabbed in between the wall and his teeth.

"The f***, man. Let's me go." River hissed in pain as his burst lower lip slightly teared when he spoke. He could feel a large, cold hand was tightly wrapped around his nape. It was the hand of the devil himself.

"Sweet blood, De Avila." The deep, husky voice breathed behind his ear. It was thickened with desire and somehow River felt his blood rushed in delirium.

"Then, do you want to have a taste of it?" River trailed off as he impelled himself to turn around but the grip around his nape became tighter when the words passed his lips.

"My pleasure." The young man gave a little shiver when the dark, erotic voice breathed against his exposed neck. His back felt hot with their close proximity and when a cold, wet tongue licked the back of his ear, subconsciously a breathless moan escaped his lips.

River's heart was beating frantically, his face flushed in embarrassment to hear his own little whimper. In the meantime he lost in his baffled thought, the big hand left his nape.

In the moment River felt his bare skin had lost the coldness of the Silvestre, swiftly he spun around towards the intimidating man but to his disappointment his gaze met nothing but the wild dance floor.

"F***." He muttered under his breath. The unexpected scene infuriated him as he was predicting a figure of the dangerous man. A dangerous man that could help him to carry on his mission.

A few seconds passed after River cursed to his own stupidity, he took a deep breath and decided to approach the buff guards at the door. He was desperated for Silvestre, either he confronted the buff guards or he put an end to his plan.

"I'm De—" River's voice stopped in the middle as his eyes widened in surprise. One of the guard practically pressed the open button for him while his face constantly showing nothing but ruthless.

Reluctantly, River marched inside the empty elevator and when the door shut, he slumped into the shining floor with a pale face. He sat on cold floor with uncontrolled breath for the next step of his master plan.

When the elevator door alerted its stop in a faint ding sound, River forcibly dragged his trembled body on his feet and jerked a fake, flirtatious smile. No matter what happened he needed to make sure his plan would go smoothly as he had planned.
