This is the story of how immortality became existent in two brothers. The King and The Ranger they usually are called. The story is about how they took the lead of immortality on earth. This took place many years before any of us came to be. Thousands and thousands of years later in our past where a fantasy world existed with werewolves and vampires living and fighting together and with each other. A world where humans can live a long life, till a thousand years of age was the oldest human in this world. A place where mages perform their magical arts and dragons are the most intelligent race. Divinity on the earth as demons annoy the angels who rule this realm who their creator created. Under the angels, Immortal beings were assigned and ruled a guild to protect the earth with their own free will.
The First Treaty
Late at night at a somewhat isolated dock near a village, an old man with a short white beard, wooden staff in hand, and a blade on his side. He walked along the lonesome road towards a ship docked at the port. The ship looks like they are getting prepared to sail towards the sea. As the old man came near the ship, a man came towards the port side. He seems to have authority on the ship, and it has to be the captain of this said ship. In an aggressive tone, he speaks "What is an old man doing at the docks at this hour". The old man states "My name is what you are, They call me Captain and I need transport to the island of Kahor". The captain grins and looks weary of this stranger as he starts to say "You have to pay for the ride". "I will pay 3000 pieces now and 2000 thousand upon entry agreed". As the stranger throws the purse of coins to the captain as he catches it, smiles signal the stranger to come aboard.
Moments later, the ship is nearly by the island, just a few hours away, the ship captain comes to collect his coin from the stranger as it is their way to. The stranger is sitting by the desk, writing something in his journal. "I'm here to collect, we've been at sea for three", the captain states. Startled, the old man rises and greets the captain of the ship as well as pays him the owed. "So are you a mage, since you have this staff". As the curiosity of the captain picks his staff up. "I am not a mage, just an old man on his way to a quest he has to complete".
They started talking about his quest to go to a mountain to sign a peace treaty with many great leaders. In a sudden rush of lightning struck the ship, the crew rushed to the top. "Lose the sails" the crew screamed at each other. All were in a panic, a storm arose in a matter of seconds, the ship was falling apart, the crew was going overboard, and the ship was struck badly, over flooded the ship became. Lightning struck the sails, the post broke in half, it was about to fall, right on the old man before a crew member pushed him out of the way and face the consequence of facing death, amidst all the chaos the old man kneeled before the brave soul, "fool" he states and then he calmed, studies the now dying man then told him that he will not survive, but alas he did admire what this mortal man had done and he will do as the dying man wishes for his last.
As the young man coughs out blood as he tries to murmur words, he gets enough strength to say as he gives a necklace to my wife in the nearby village by the docks. Please give this to her and please, kind sir, please help my children... give me a peaceful end, not a cursed death of the sea…he takes his last breath, the ship breaks apart after a rogue wave pushes the ship into the rocks near the shore. A few hours later, the ship became wrecked on the shore of Kahor and only one survived the horrid experience, Captain, yes, the old man, he stood up among the wreckage. As Captain makes his way out of the wreckage he senses a living being behind him, blade ready, Captain turns around slowly studies the figure of the man, he wears light armor, his stance is to intimidate his opponents, silver blade in his hand (used for monsters or creature, in this case, glowing cat-like eyes about 150 years of age). There are no creatures here, not yet anyway, the wreck just happened, that is why you are here and I am no creature or monster in your case. The man says "How do you know what or who I am?” "I've met your type before I know lots about them, probably more than you do yourself, but the case is this, I am already late and I have to obey (staring at the crew member's body) this man's wishes, one of them being a grave for him, so would you..." The young man speaks again "You want me to make a grave for this man I barely know". Captain states as the wind change with his words, “you will make a grave for this man that saved my life for I am trying to save humanity itself from their stupidity and to obey the archangel who gave me this role or your guild will make you a prey to the all who will be around you and they will know that you did not want to heed my words. This man, a fool he was but saving me is ignorant and brave, do as I would. The monster hunter nods and sheaths his blade and starts dragging his body to the agreeable location as the Captain takes his leave on a 3-day walk to an empty barren mountain top, Captain goes to the first meeting for immortality. Captain came to the top and saw a friend Guram (a guild master of the guild he made about a brief few thousand years back, he leads now guild of immortality to teach and raise immortality to its full purpose and potential a fortress on the water is where this guild is situated). Guram, how long it has been 2153 years, well that doesn’t matter we are here now.
"You are a few hours late."Guram states, "still, I might say it is great to see you after all this time." They embraced as old friends surely will do. The rest of the parties arrive in about an hour. All seems to be here, Nekora the maiden mage of Arch the leader of the most powerful schools of magic, a powerful mage indeed. Cithrel Eilmairis the ambassador of the forest wood elves, some exiled, known as traitors of elves but are just a different race of elves, lives more in forests with the dryads, druids, and other elves in a large mass of the forest. Elnaril Oriberos of the highest elves lives deeply in secret entrances or palaces most peaceful, always building their health, armies though never needed, most sacred are they, calls him and his elves the true elves left in the land and hate those who betrayed him and his people like those forest elves. Kieren Lerwick the most fearful and most fearless of the high vampires around, master of his house. Known for his intelligence and love for some immortality and peace, never tricked and those who betray him are no more. All the rulers of immortality were all at one place before, but this time different, they talked about their pitiful past until they agreed to peace with compromise as immortality is to protect the humans as they agreed with the angel arch that ruled over the earth realm. Most agreed that the rest of the kingdom should be protected and so began the negotiations.
After countless hours of negotiations, after so much bickering and power plays, finally, peace was established and they all departed. They agreed in a few years a new treaty must be drawn as the realm where all they stay will be unified with the dwarves and the human race with kings and queens which will be one vast area ruled under the king of the realm, now a young man over a 300 years of age and not yet ready to take over his fathers rule over this large realm. Captain afterward usually goes to his home or where ever he considers going which is normally any isolated place or to other leaders he is suspicious of and sometimes even some other realms usually where the angels go and allow him to, but this time he has a promise to uphold, he has honor and remembers he has to keep the wish he accepted by that foolish dying man and go to the village across the sea to the sailor's wife and children. So he did, he departs from the mountain and with a few steps he is stopped by the archmage who was willing to take him wherever he wishes her to teleport him, normally he would not for he can use magic and teleport in an instant wherever he needs to be or he will go to another dock with more and stable transport ships as he likes to take longer trips to take in the scenery he usually hasn't got the time do so. He accepted her offer and stated the village where he must go for he was curious about her magical ability. He was to say surprised by it, she took a few steps back shouts out some Enochian(that language had a different name those days, these days the language of angels are known to be the language of Enoch as he deciphered their language) words and an aura and power came around him and everything around him disappeared and the power all around him faded and the village was before him. He smiled proudly as it is very rare to find someone that powerful and who knew the language of Enochian. He walked into a town, no guards meaning the town is not of the king, the town is a residential and market town, very poor town, not many people live here, he went all the way to end of the town he saw a small shack by the lake (he knows if someone is out of the village means that they have been outcasted for being unproductive or could not help the town in any financial way or just diseased beings, this is normally how a human village would do). He goes near the small poorly put shack, he sees a young boy with a stick along the lake pretending it to be a blade (a young boy he still is true Captain thought), he knocks on the door and startles the woman (no visitors comes to her normally he could see), she opens for the presence of the old man is warming yet worrying. "A nice serene home you have here, please take a seat," he said, "Not to be taken to your offense sir, I will stand, who are you?" "Captain is my name and a truly brave soul your husband he was”…”."My, my husband?”, the now confused woman asks. He takes a breath and He continues to tell the horrific story to the sailor’s wife as she is attempting to fight back her tears, trembling with fear she falls on her knees before the stranger, shook by her husband’s death, no food, no gold for the currency they have, an outcast she already is, a young son and another on the way he could tell. Her husband was scraping what he could for his family by being a small-classed sailor.
The young boy comes into her mother's soaring cry. This stranger to them says "be gone child(in a polite and calming way) go play, do not worry and fear not I will stay and help your poor mother." After long moments of crying and tears flowing, never-ending drops of sadness, and with Captain holding her in the warmest embrace as like if it was for her dear life, he uncloaks himself and neatly folds his cloak on the chair by her broken and oddly dirtied dining table after her tears started calming. He stood her up, no words did he say after the crude story, he just did actions perhaps there were no words to be said. He shows her the steel necklace her husband had around his neck, she grabs on to it, tears start flowing slowly once again, he dresses it around her neck and takes his sleeve to wipe all her tears away. "Get some rest now my dear" (as he leads her to her bed, clearly seen she was uncomfortable). "I should not, my life is in ruin, broken I am, I am nothing but the dirt on the ground that the animals walk on," she said at once with no hesitation. “You might be, but your children are not.” He proudly states adding “be still”. He sits her on the bed and kneels before her, touches her belly with her confused consent, feeling the movement of life, he is not long away he knows at that moment he focuses all his energy on the life force, a draft of wind rushes in, a strange feeling comes into her little shack, Captain speaks in a strange tongue "Apila Paid” he spoke, in a second all is back to the way it was before he spoke.
She demanded at once to know what he did, accused of being a mage who put a curse on her child. He stands up, calms her. “I am no mage by birth or class, any human and race can perform any or many arts of magic, I would not curse a child but bless him as the God who I serve has continued to bless me, please be calm.”, he continues “Your husband's request, his third, to help protect his children, and this is the only way I can honor him forever as I can not stay and live my life here, I have many places still to travel to.” She calms herself and trusts the words of this elderly man whom she thought is very knowledgeable, she sat back down, her eyes dropped. “Now rest,” he says. She falls asleep immediately as Captain walks to the fireplace where a pot was busy boiling, but alas the fire is long out, a wave of the Captain's hand as flames rises from the wood and the pot starts boiling once again. As it boils, he goes outside to find the young boy. He sees him and calls the boy over,” it is almost sunset, and I will serve supper soon”. "Yes mister, I…I will be there at once?” the boy spoke.
Captain kneels to the height of the boy and places his hand on the boy's shoulder, brings his head forward to the boys as it collides, a small draft goes through them from the air around them and the smell of the fish and lake can be found around them and in the words of captain states or commands "Apila Paid," his words go throughout the boy. He rises and stares all around them and the fading sun, “it's getting late, supper will be served now”
A few moments later the women awoke seeing Captain by the pot serving her child as well a second bowl, but not for him, but her. Captain places her bowl by the table beside her son, turns around to nod at her (he sensed she has awakened) he puts his cloak back on and places something by an old material that looked like another cloak covered something, he lets himself out and closes the door and she hears 3 knocks then… then… silence, nothing more not even a single sound. She runs to open the door to thank him as she opens not a soul in sight, she runs all around her little shack and… No one to be found. She returns, curious she opens up the rag to uncover and to her sudden shock, surprised to find, to see gold pieces, her eyes unbelieved by what she saw like never before, precious stones and ancient coins that Captain had left that could serve her and her children well with a small note and handwritten word, "may this serve you well, do not overuse what I gave you, your husbands' wishes are now done, your family will now be safe." At the bottom of the note another form of his writing, just a suggestion she reads "soon, hide the wealth where you can, find a friendly acquaintance, and live well."
