"Eliana, where are you?" her mother called searching for her teen daughter.
There wasn't any reply. The girl's mother looked at the time. It was already past midnight. She wondered whether her daughter had already gone to sleep.
Eliana's mother was a businesswoman and used to stay out of the house the entire day and arrive late at night by 11 pm or 12 am or later than that. Eliana used to live with her relatives. They lived in a joint family.
"Why are you calling for Eliana? She had gone with you to your office, isn't she," Eliana's granny asked.
"What are you saying? I didn't take her with me. She was at home the entire day," her mother said getting worried.
"Don't joke. She isn't at home since morning. She wasn't there when we woke up. We guessed you had taken her with you as you were planning too," her granny replied.
The mother did had planned to take her along but as she urgently had got some important work to do and as she would get late as usual even that day she decided to not take Eliana along with her.
Getting tensed they searched in the house, knocked on the neighbors doors, waking them up, asking them if they had any information about Eliana. Her friends were called but there wasn't any sign of her. No one had any slightest information where the girl would be.
The police was at last called. But they refused to do any investigations as it had not yet been 24 hrs.
But the family said that it had been. Though they didn't notice the girl since morning but the last time they saw her was the previous night when she had went to sleep. It had already been 24 hrs.
The police begin with their investigations. They checked the place totally, asked few questions to the family members. Finding no other clue of kidnapping or run out they called Eliana's friends at her place and started to interrogate.
Eliana studied in a professional college doing her BDS in third year. She had long brown flocks with cerulean eyes. She wasn't a girl who used to get mixed up with others that easily. She usually liked to stay alone but she seemed to be happy.
According to her friends the reason for her happiness was the things she imagined. She had many imaginary friends then friends in reality so she didn't like to interact much with the real ones as she was satisfied with the imaginary ones.
She made fewer friends and didn't have any boy in her friends list according to her friends and family. It was getting little difficult for the police to figure out anything cause it seemed that the girl would never even think of attempting a run out.
"I remembered a thing she was saying past couple of months," Christina one of Eliana's friends said when the police didn't find any more information about Eliana.
"What was she saying," the inspector asked.
Christina told them that Eliana was talking about a guy named Aaron. The girl had described him as a tall guy with pitch black eyes and spiky long hair. The police now thought that they may find a lead but when Christina and the other's told them more about the guy their thoughts changed.
The inspector guessed that the guy was one among her imaginary friends as her friends believed. They then too tried finding more about the existence of the guy.
They eventually failed to find any other lead. They tried to find about her or about the guy by many other means but eventually reached failure. They soon dropped the case finding no progress.
Eliana's family had got a shock hearing that. Christina and Sharon also came to know about it. Seeing the condition of her best friend's family members they were sad.
Eliana's friends thought of checking up for clues of some kind by themselves. Christina and Sharon came to Eliana's house in her room. The entire room was turned upside down by the police.
"I wonder whenever I think of Eliana going missing that guy Aaron always pops in my head," Christina said.
"That is just her imagination and nothing else and what do you believe that some guy used to climb up the 2 floored building up to Eliana's balcony and used to talk to her that late at night," Sharon said.
"I know that's not possible but maybe there is really a guy named Aaron. He just may not do things like Eliana described," Christina said.
"We should try searching for something more practical rather than thinking of those imaginary things," Sharon said.
"Alright, we will finish doing our practical search and then if we don't find anything than we will try with that imaginary search," Christina said.
"Why are you back of that imaginary story she made," she asked.
"I don't know why but just want too," Christina said.
They tried searching for things in her room but there wasn't anything there. They searched a lot, turned each and every page of the books of that room but didn't find anything.
"Is your practical search over, or yet anything is remaining," Christina asked.
"How are you trying to do your imaginary search," Sharon asked.
But there wasn't any reply from Christina. She herself didn't had any idea. They spend some time there thinking what to do next.
"Do you remember Eliana said that she had a secret house where she didn't allow anyone to go," Christina said.
Sharon replied in positive, "Let's ask about it to her mother. I won't be surprised if that's not imaginary itself,"
They asked Eliana's mother.
She replied that they indeed have a house close by where Eliana used to spend majority of her time alone and she didn't allow anyone to go there. She had kept all the keys to that place with herself.
"But why suddenly you people are inquiring about that place," her mother questioned.
"I don't know myself. The question just popped in my head suddenly," Christina said.
"Let's check that place," Sharon said but they had no key along with them to that place.
They called a key maker to make a new key for them and the door of the secret house was opened.
