I woke up from nightmare. It’s had been a two years since the accident. I take a peek outside. Still raining. I took a deep breath in. I didn't see Julian's car. I think he had left for work. I was lucky that Julian already gone. I don’t want him to freaks out AGAIN.

I looked at the time, It’s almost eight. I rushed to bathroom. Brushed my teeth and had a hot showered. I searched for my work outfit, and take my purse. I don’t need to brush my hair or wear make up or something. Unlike other girl. I had normal skin with brown hair. I had a warm brown eyes. And a nice body shape. Thanks to my parents.

Me and Julian moved to Melbourne from Los Angeles since years ago. We moved to Melbourne after I graduate from college. Julian doesn’t want me to stay where the accident occurred. His job made us had to move here. He knows I always have a nightmare since the accident. I can’t speak about two months and that made him scared.

Doctor said that I was traumatized by the accident. He’s strong. He cares for me. He always do. So now he’s a head of the family. And he took every decision. His jobs need him here, and I need a diversion of the mind. So he sold our parents house and we moved here. He buy a two story houses. I think it’s a good decision. I love my parents. I still couldn't get out from this misery. He thinks that if we moved here I will be happy and started a new life and forget everything’s. All the pain. Not that I can forget about it. I just need to deal with the pain. Mom Dad. I remembered that incident again. It’s slip my mind.

I shake my head and walked out from my room. I look at the table there is a toast and scramble egg. Must be Julian. I ate quickly. I walked out and lock the door behind me. I warm up the car engine. I met Jane when I arrived at office building.

“Hey Jane.” I tap her shoulder.

“Hey Myszkowski.” She turn to me. She’s grinning.

“Morning. Fuh I’m late today.” I rubbed my forehead.

“Almost today.”

“Come on.” We rushed to elevator.

Jane Austen. The first friend I made since I was here. She is a carefree girl, beautiful, honest, agile, smart. I like her. The first time we meet during the interview. She have strawberry blonde hair. Hazel eyes. I adore her beautiful porcelain skin.

“Hey guys, I thought I was late.” He stopped the elevator. He ran out of breath. He is my another friend at work. His name is Aaron Flyer. He’s a funny guy, Romantic type, handsome, kind. He had a dark skin. A very fine face. He kind of have a thing with Jane. But Jane made it clear that she doesn't feel the same way.

“We just got here too.” I told him. He raised his eyebrow. And then we laughed in unison. We got into the elevator together. And talked about our weekend.

When we arrived to fifteen floor, we rushed to our own desk. Me myself work as Assistant of Sales Executive Manager here on Creative Advertising. And Jane work as Marketing here. She smart person. Aaron is different. He worked as IT. He’s really good at it. He’s a pro I think.

I start another day here. I check all my boss appointment. I log in to Skype. I open my group chat with Jane and Aaron.

Aaron Flyer : Let’s watch movie tonight!!!

Aaron Flyer : There is a new movie!!

Jane Austen : Sure, let’s meet up there

Aaron Flyer : Alright. Chris?

Chris Myszkowski : I don’t know

Jane Austen : Let’s hit ‘Chili Bar’ after that

Aaron Flyer : Come on Chris

Jane Austen : Chris????

Jane Austen : Are you coming tonight???

Jane Austen : Never mind,

Jane Austen : I won't take no for an answer anyway.

Chris Myszkowski : I’m sure you are.

My desk phone is ringing.

“Chris, come to my office for a moment,” Elis Call me.

“I’ll be right there.”

Chris Myszkowski : I have to go.

Chris Myszkowski : See you at lunch.

I typed fast and walked to Elis's Office. She’s my Boss.

“Yes Elis, what do you need?” I asked her.

“Please sit down.” She busy as ever.

“I’m going meeting outside this afternoon, please send me the paperworks I told you to do yesterday, and I’m going on leave tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

“I will be back on Thursday, so like usually. Replace me when I’m not here. Can you do it?”

“Yes. I’ll do that.” I nod.

“I’ll have my lunch before I go, so can you buy me lunch when you go out? I don’t think I can walked out from these piles of works.”

“Yes of course. What would you like for lunch?” I asked.

“A sandwich will do. Thank you.” She smiled. And back to work. I walked to office kitchen and make a cup of coffee for her. Her favourite. I put it down on her table.

Elis is my boss. She’s great person. She’s almost forty now. But she appear to be like on her thirty something. She doesn't have any wrinkles on her face. She is very smart at her jobs. Someone who you can depend on. She’s always been good with me. I walked back to my desk and send the paperworks she asked me to do yesterday.

I text Julian. Told him I’ll be late tonight.

“Let’s go.” Her face was sullen.

“Alright. What is it?” I asked her as we walked towards the elevator.

“Nothing, I’m so tired. I just returned from meeting.”

“Owh.”

“Tonight we are going to Jack's place.” She smiled brightly now.

We’re having Chinese noodles for lunch across the street. And I buy Elis lunch as well. I put her lunch at her desk, while she was on the phone. I went back to my desk and back to work. I have to review a contracts.

When I’m done working on document. I sit for a while and stretched my body. My shoulder is numb. I only need to copy these files. And I’ll be done. I went to office kitchen to fetch a water. No one’s here. I looked at clock. It’s already six and my movie start at seven I have to hurry. I went to Elis office. Her room light still on. She is back.

“Excuse me Elis, I finished it. I only need to copy them, here.” I fetch some tea for her and her document back to her.

“Thank you Chris.” She sighed and taste the tea.

“It’s my job.” I smile at her.

“You can go home now.”

“Okay. See you tomorrow.” I smile at her.

“And thanks for the tea.” I nod and close the door behind me. Alright let’s go now. I went back to my desk. Get my purse. I take out my phone. Shoot, Julian. Five missed calls. I’m calling him back.

“Hi Julian, I’m sorry I was busy. I worked over time today, and I’m going to meet Aaron and Jane tonight we are going watch movie and grab a quick drink somewhere. I’ll be late.” I explain detailed.

“What?? Alright then. Take care, don’t drink too much.” He’s reply in short.

“What is it Julian?” I asked him. He sounds weird.

“No, go have fun.”

“What are you going to do for dinner?” I asked.

“I’ll figure something. Don’t worry. Go have fun.” He says brightly. I narrow my eyes.

“And be careful.” He continued.

“Okay then, bye.” I hang up. I walked to parking lot. I know Julian is worried. I climb in to my car. Jane is calling me.

“I’m on my way.” I said.

“Hey Chris, over here.” Aaron waved at me when I arrived.

“Let’s go.” Jane holding me. We walk to the theater 3.

“What kind of movie?” I asked Aaron.

“A horror.” he raised one eyebrow.

“I love it.” We are seated in a row.

Jane hold my hands while we watch. She can’t watch a horror movie. Aaron and I cool about it. I really feel much better since I move here. I feel much better since I meet Jane and Aaron. They are really a good friend. Julian is happy when I hang out with them.

“That was lame. When the demon came out and drag the girl out.” I told Aaron.

“It’s not that scary, Jane are you okay?” Aaron ask her.

“Yeah for now. Don’t ever suggest to watch a horror again.” Her face is pale.

“Let’s go get a drink. You’ll feel better in a minute.” I told her. I put my arms around her. We walk to across the street. We often comes here. It’s Chili Bar.

“Hey Jack.” I say hi to him. He’s the owner. His hair is light brown. He have a beautiful blue eyes. Neat face hair. He’s really tall, muscular, good looking. He is in great shape and kind. He’s around thirty something I think. Jane thinks he have a feelings with me. But really, he’s not really my type.

“Hey guys, what happen to her.” He pointed at Jane.

“Just now we watched a horror movie.” I explain.

“That’s something.” He laughed at Jane.

“Here drinks up.” Jack passed us three pint of beer.

“Thanks.” I just smiled back to him. I haven’t eat dinner yet. But I’m not that hungry.

“You look more fine now.” I told her. She is more cheerful now.

“Yeah I feel so much fine now.” She gulped down her beer. Some guy passing by. Jane looked at them with wide eyes. Some guys waved at her. Jane mouthing at me. Oh my god. I laughed at her.

“Oh my, Chris. They look so hot.”

“They’re just want what is in your pants Jane.” Aaron rolled his eyes.

“Don’t be so sensitive.” I rolled my eyes at her. I had my second beer.

“Let’s dance Aaron.” Jane pull Aaron to the dance floor.

I look at them. They looks happy, especially Aaron. Jane looks hot. He doesn’t want to let Aaron miscomprehend, she always said ‘we are just friend’. Poor Aaron. Jane had a thing with Julian. She thinks Julian is sexy, hot, cool and whatever. She always drools over him.

I concentrate to drink my beer. And have a chit chat with Jack.

“The night is very crowded Jack.”

“Yeah, some new people.”

“I hope they don’t make a scene, alright.” I told him.

“I hope so. I made a new mix. Do you want to try it?” He grin at me.

“Yeah sure.”

“It’s a little hard. I don’t think you can handle it. Just a sip alright?” He served it in front of me.

“What is it?” It has a beautiful color in it. Clear blue color.

“I haven’t give it a name yet. Do you want to give it a name?” He grins.

“It’s a Jack Little Jack.” It’s like his eyes color.

“Jack Little Jack it is.” He grins wider.

“It’s has a weird taste, you know.” I told him after I sip it a little. I don’t know much about liquor but I know what I like.

“Really?” He raised his eyebrow.

“But I like it.” I raised the glass to him.

“Alright, don’t drink too much. It’ll knock you down. I need to go to the restroom.” He winks at me.

When he go to bathroom. A guy approaches me and sit beside me at the bar.

“Hey, you looked lonely.”

“I’m with friends.” I answered him without looked at him.

“I see no one, Can I asked you to dance?” Argh go away please.

“No thanks.” I take a sip of Jack again.

“Don’t be so shy.” He reached my hand.

“Don’t touch me.” I pulled my hand. I glared at him.

“Come one, have fun. Don’t be *****.” I saw this scene somewhere. Where this guy will end up on his *** on the floor. He approach me closer.

I push him away. I smell a reek of alcohol from him. Is he drunk?

“Hey, the lady already said no.” Another guy come to rescue.

“Who are you?” He ask.

“I’m the boyfriend.” He smile brightly to me and turn to drunk guy.

“Some bitches.” My face heats up when he said that. Then it’s like a slow motion. This guy punch him on his face.

“Whoa, hey easy man.” The guy sat his *** on the floor with his hands covering his bleeding nose.

“Apologize to this lady.” He growl at him.

“Hey calm down man, I’m sorry alright.” His corner mouth is bleeding too. And he walk away.

“What happened?” Jane walk towards me.

“No, it’s okay. Just some drunk guy.”

“Thanks. I appreciate that.” I tell him.

“It’s my pleasure.” He smile brightly. His eyes stare to me. My heart feel rattle suddenly. He turn to walk away. Jane stop him.

“He’s Handsome.” She whisper.

“Wait, thanks for rescue my friend. Can I buy you a drink?” Jane face weird. She wink at me.

“Alright, sure.” He comes back and sit beside me.

“What do you like?” Jane ask him.

“Anything.” He look at me, and showing his shining teeth.

“Hey guys, what happen? I saw a man with bleeding lips walk through the back door.” Jack comes back and asking.

“That guy made a pass on Chris.”

“What? Really? So you punch him?” Jack asking with a surprise.

“No.” I’m surprised he think I hit a guy.

“This guy is.” Jane tell him.

“Thanks man.” Jack nod at him.

“Hey Jack, two Corona.” I ask him.

“Right away.”

“Hey man thanks by the way for rescuing my girl from some ****.” Aaron reach his hand to him. He frowns.

Your girl. I smirk at him. I know he didn't mean anything by that.

“It’s okay.” He reach Aaron hand.

“Me too. Thanks to you. What’s your name?” Jane pull her body closer to me.

“I’m James.” He reply.

“James, I’m Jane, and this is Chris, Aaron. Nice to meet you by the way.”

“Yeah nice to meet you guys too.”

“Here, it’s on me.” Jack put two Corona.

“Thanks Jack.”

He clink his bottle to mine and drink it fast. My heart is flutter. Maybe I’m just shocked or too nervous. He’s hottie. He wear a suit. Black suit. I drink fast my corona. And get another bottle.

“Hey slowly Chris.” Jane stopping me. I thought I will have a good sleep. If I get drunk. I can sleep soundly. I don’t want Julian get worried. I have to take care of myself. But really, drunk isn’t a way. I haven’t had a good sleep for the last few weeks.

“No, I need this. I feel weird suddenly.” I drink again. And Jane stops me.

“Don’t let her drink anymore.” Jane told James. She walk away again with Aaron.

“You have a good friend.” He tell me.

“Yeah, Best Friend. So, I’ve never saw you here. It’s your first time?”

He just nod. He saw me having a more drink.

“Do you want more?” I ask him, when I saw his bottle empty.

“No, I had enough for tonight.” Hmmm.

“You come here often?” He ask suddenly.

“Yeah, about three times a weeks.”

“I think you have enough.” He hold my bottle.

“Yeah I think so, I’m sleepy. I think I need to go home now.” I tried to stand, I saw Jack’s new mix still remaining half. I gulp it down in one shot.

“Whoa, what is it with you and liquor?” He took the glass from me.

“I’m alright, hey Jack, I need to head back. I’ll see you again.” I feel sleepy suddenly. My head’s spinning.

“Are you sure?” He ask me worriedly.

“Shit, is she drunk?” I heard Jane talk to someone.

“Hey hey.” I can feel someone hold on to my shoulder.

“What Chris. Just a sip drink and you want to collapse now.” I shake my head. I can’t answer her. I feel like to throw up.

“I feel so sleepy, Let me sleep for a while.” I whisper to her.

I feel like I’m flying, I think someone lift me. I try to open my eyes. My head is hurts and spinning. I feel so comfortable. Julian?

“Julian?”

“Hey sleeping beauty. You’re awake?” Who is it? I blink. Oh my god. It’s James. I gasped.

“You can let me down now.” I told him. This is so embarrassing.

“Hmm let me think. The answer is no.”

“Please my head is hurt.”

“Please wait a little more. I’ll put you to bed.”

I looked around. I’m at lobby. What time is it now?

“Where am I?” I asked him. I’m in some stranger arms.

“Oh my god Julian. Put me down. I need to call Julian.”

“It’s okay, your friend Jane already told your protective brother that you are slept over at her apartment.”

“What? And why am I here?” I ask him. I almost shout.

“Hush. Keep it down it’s one in the morning.” He push the elevator button.

“Please let me down now. It’s so embarrassing.” I beg.

“Why would you drink like that?” He narrowed his eyes.

“I only have four ………or five.” I don’t remember. He smell so heavenly. He raised his eyebrow to me. Okay maybe more.

“Where am I?” I ask him again.

“My Apartment.”

Elevator door open. And he walk in and he push at 25 floor.

“I’m heavy, I don’t think you can hold me that long.” I tried another way.

“Try me.” He smirks.

I silent when he walks in to the room. A very big room. I think this is a Classic Six.

“Can you let me down now please?” He smile. I think my face is red.

“I’ll put you to bed. I promise your friend I’ll took a good care of you.”

“Oh this is so embarrassing.” I cover my face with my hands. I couldn’t resist. I don’t have that power now.

We walk straight to his room I think. And he put me down to his bed.

“Do you want to drink?” He pulls my both hands down.

“Yes thanks.” I look down ashamed. I lock my finger.

“Lie down now.” He push my body and lie down on the bed. His bed.

He fetch a water for me. He come back fast.

“Here, Drink this. You’ll feel better.” I gulp down all of it. It’s cold and made me awake.

“Feel better?” I nod.

“Okay sleep for now.” He walk away to another room.

I have my purse with me. I search for my phone. I got a text from Jane.

Dear Chris,

When you read this, which means you’re up. Don’t worry about Julian. I told him, you sleep over at my place. Do a good job. I hope you pop you cherry.

Shit, My face hotter right now. She had to pay for this. Tomorrow. I’m so sleepy now. I really need a good sleep. But how can I sleep in this situation. Where I’m alone with some man I just met. A stranger. And without shirt just a PJ pants.

“Let’s sleep.” WHAT??? He slid into the bed next to me. And turn his back to me. My jaw almost dropped to floor.

“Sleep. I’m not going to touch you.” He pull his blanket to cover his body.

“I’m not in that kind feeling right now. You’re not sober. And I’m tired.”

“Or do you expect anything from me?” He turn around facing me and smile wickedly.

“Of course not. Are you crazy?” He smiled weakly.

“Sleep then, I’m tired and sleepy.” He turn his back again. I lie down and put a pillow in our middle bed.

“You’re funny. Trust me I won’t do anything.” He laughed and he is knock out.

I worried that I’d be delirious. But I’m too tired to think. I’ll sleep here but not with him. I wait a little more. And I think he is in a dream channel now. I slowly get up from the bed and walk out from the room. I walk to the living room and I found a couch. He had a beautiful living room and it’s so big. He also had a fireplace. Fortunately he wasn’t awakened. I fall asleep fast. Too tired.

I wake up from my sleep. I feel so comfortable. And something pressing me. See, this is what I mean. I check my phone. Shit. It’s seven thirty. I wasn’t aware he put me back to bed. His arms wrap around me. Oh God. I get up slowly and managed to free myself from him. I saw him sleep soundly. I’m going to borrow his bathroom. I walk slowly to outside.

“Hey, Morning.” He wakes up. He rub his eyes.

“Oh, Good morning.” This is so awkward. I even think to go before he wakes up. Shit

“If you want to use bathroom. It’s inside.” He grin at me. He pointed the bathroom.

Oh he even looks great when he wakes up. And his messy hair. I go and find the bathroom. I quickly wash, and found new toothbrush. I’ll pay him later. This is so stupid. Get drunk and sleeping with stranger. A handsome stranger.

I don’t have time for drying my hair. I saw him doing something at kitchen. And he played songs from somewhere.

“Hey thanks for last night. I have to go now. I’ll pay you back for the toothbrush.” I told him while I’m checking my bag.

“No need to rush. Eat your breakfast first. You don’t need to pay for the toothbrush. It’s stupid.” He plate some bread in front of me. And some fried egg.

“No I’m late, I won’t make it.”

“It’s only five minutes if you walk from here.” I raised my eyebrow.

“Eat.” His lip is twitching.

I shake my head and take a bite of everything he offers. I’m hungry anyway. So I just listen to him.

“Some fruit?”

“Yes thanks.” I put the fresh strawberry in to my mouth and chew it quickly.

“Slowly.” He offer a cold orange juice to me.

He go to his room, then come out in a minute.

“Ready to go?” He asked with a big smile.

“Yes, let’s go.”

We walk to elevator. I sighed. I peek a little of him. He is staring down at me. Shit

“What?” I asked.

“Nothing. How’s your head now?” He asked worriedly.

“I’m okay now. Thanks by the way.” I thank him sincerely.

“You can thank me later.” He pull my hands and we both out from his apartment.

He open the car door for me. An Audi. It’s a sport car. He’s rich man. And I climb in. He walk to the driver side.

“Where is my car?” I ask him.

“Oh, it’s at your office parking lot.” He start the engine.

“How?” I ask curiously.

“Oh I asked my driver to put your car there.” He had a driver. Of course.

He just driving for two blocks I think. I can already see my office building. He get down from the car. And open door car for me. He is a gentleman. I climb out.

“Thanks for the ride. I appreciate it.” I told him.

“I’ll see you later then?”

“Later?” I ask. Will we see each other again? I’m not so happy for the thought. I’m embarrassed enough not to see him anymore.

“I’ll call you.” He smile wide with a messy hair. And drive away.

Call me? How? Did he have my number?

“Hey Chris.” Jane shout from behind.

“Hey.” I hit her shoulder lightly.

“What?” Her eyes widen.

“Are you crazy? I just met him. What will he think of me?” I frown at her.

“I don’t know, I think he likes you. He take care of you yesterday. So I think he was interested in you. And I think he is gentleman.”

“Don't ever do that again.” I pointed at her.

“I’m sorry babe.” She made a cute face.

“Yeah. By the way, I have a lot of question to ask you. Come.” I narrow my eyes.

She walked with me. And we meet Aaron at the elevator.

We talked about yesterday. And yes she is the one who told him about Julian and everything.

“So what are you doing yesterday? Did you guys…?” I stop her with my finger.

“NO. Why would you think like that? Julian will kill me if he knows. Like you wouldn’t know. You know how Julian is.” I shout a little.

“I’m sorry but I think this is a best chance for you to get a boyfriend. He’s hot. Super-Hot. But I like Julian better.” She grin to me.

Elis is on vacation, I don’t have many jobs to do. I go down and check the mail. I take the mail and back to my desk. I rearrange her schedule and email it to her.

At lunch I saw Aaron and Jane walked out from elevator. They back from wherever they came from.

“Let’s go.”

“Where?”

“Lunch of course.” Aaron answer me.

“Alright.”

We walked to next door building. They had a coffee shop and some other restaurant. We stopped at coffee shop. Jane and I sit while Aaron helps us order.

“So, when will you tell me?” Jane start again. Ugh

“What?” I made an I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-ARE-YOU-TALKING-ABOUT face.

“You know it. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m going to ask you.”

“I don’t get it.” I still pretend.

“I think you like him.” She force me to talk.

“I just met him Jane.” I sigh and surrender to her.

“What kind of answer is that? Give me something else.” I know she wants to know about yesterday.

“Nothing we just slept. I woke up when we arrived at his hotel. It’s around one I think.” I remember ask him about the time.

“Slept huh? Didn’t do anything else?”

“We just slept, I wait until he slept and I moved to his couch at the living room and when I woke up, I found myself on his bed again.”

“What? You stupid girl, Why would you do that. You’re fucking ****** you know.” She is furious now. I laughed at her.

“Don’t start.” I’m warning her.

Aaron come back and join us with lunches and drinks.

“So yes or no?” He ask Jane. What is it?

“No.” Jane cover her face and sigh. She seems disappointed.

“Wow. I do not expect this. So he is a gentleman after all huh?” He grin to me.

“What do you guys expect me to do with him?” I ask out of curiosity.

“Sex of course.” She whisper to me. Oh god I glare at her.

I shake my head. And I flush.

“Okay I don’t want to talk about this anymore. Let’s eat and get back to work.” Aaron nod. And yeah Jane would let this go. For now.

We eat and Aaron talked about something else. And **** I forgot to call Julian. He’s calling me now.

“What is it?” Jane ask me.

“I forgot to call Julian, He must be freaking out right now.”

“I already called him yesterday, I told him you stayed at my place.”

“Thanks by the way.” I snap out of her. I go outside and call Julian back. He must be working now.

He pick up.

“Hey Julian.”

“Hey Chris you didn’t called me this morning.”

“Yes and I’m sorry.” He isn’t mad.

“I was worried. So you’re coming home tonight.”

“Yeah of course.” Why is he saying that?

“You alright?”

“Why wouldn’t I?”

“Okay then I’ll see you at home.”

“Okay.” I hung up.

“So how?” Jane and Aaron finished their lunch and come out.

“Nothing, I think Julian eat something bad.”

“Really?”

“Let’s go guys.” Aaron call us from the front.

We walked back. And I get back to work. So many calls for Elis, but not so important. It can wait until she is back. When the times comes, I take my purse and my phone. I saw that Aaron and Jane haven't finished their work. And looked busy. I waved to them. They waved back to me. I find my car key in my purse. I walk towards parking car. And there it is. I started my car engine. I take my times. I enjoy my driving while I think. What I have to tell Julian.
