“I-I’m sorry-” Before natsuko could even finish, her uncle grabbed her by the collar and shoved her across the floor.

“I’ve told you many times to not come back here if you don’t have my money!” Her uncle grabbed the bottle of champagne near the table and threw it on the floor.

The bottle shattered into many pieces. “Clean this up or leave.” Was all he said before he went out.

Natsuko covered her mouth, stopping herself from crying but the pain was making it even worse for her.

As she slowly crawled to the shattered glass picking one by one, one of the glass cuts her hand.

Natsuko winced in pain.

(Later that day)

“You have one voice message”

“Hey Natsuko! It’s me Nami! Me and Hina were just wondering if you’re free this afternoon to hang.”

Natsuko looked at herself in the mirror. Seeing how messed up she looks she knew it wasn’t a good idea to go out like this.

“Hey Nami! I’m sorry but I’m quite busy with school work right now. We can hang out next time! Have fun with Hina!” In a second the smile on her face disappeared, showing the same little frightened girl.

Natsuko took out the aid kit she had bought and started cleaning the small wound on the inside of her right hand. Then wrapping it with a bandage.

“You can do it Natsuko...just endure the pain for now.” She whispered to herself.

(The next day)

“NATSUKO!!”

Natsuko immediately smiled, hearing her two friends call her name as she enters the classroom brightened her morning.

“Hi guys.” Natsuko sat down in her seat which was in front from the two.

“You should’ve came yesterday. Me and Hina had so much but it would’ve been so much fun if you were there.” Nami pouted.

Meet Aki Nami, 18 years older. She’s been friends with Natsuko since Junior High School. Nami is the cheerful friend in the group.

“Who does school work on the weekends anyways. Should’ve just ditched it and hung out with us.” Hina said.

Go Hina is the age as Nami and became friends with them in beginning of high school. In the group, Hina is the most athletic one.

“I’m sorry but school is very important to me. I can’t just rest when I got things to do.” Natsuko smiled.

(NATSUKO’s POV)

“Hey natsuko..”

“Yes?” I smiled.

“What’s wrong with your hand?” Hina asked.

I blinked a few times scratching the back of my head trying to think of an explanation.

“Uh...I...” I stuttered.

The both of them leaned closer. “You what?”

“Haha...uh..” I bit the inside of my cheeks. “I SCRAPED MY HAND YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS CLEANING!” I put up a smile.

“Scraped?”

I nodded. “Mhm.”

“It doesn’t really hurt that much see.” I slammed my hand on my table. The pain started rising but I didn’t wanna tell them.

“Oh...okay.” The both of them smiled.

“So what did you guys do yesterday?” I tried changing the subject.

The conversation went on for a while until class finally started.

Throughout the whole entire class the pain in my hand was hurting again, I didn’t wanna get up because I would interrupt a very important lesson but at the same time the pain made me want to cry.

I was able to hold onto the pain for a while once the lesson was done but right when I was about to raise my hand the door slammed opened with a loud thud.
