I was so tired that I could faint at any moment. My body was beat up, blood raced down on my cheeks, and deep cuts on my arms produced tremendous pains. Finally, it’s...over. I stared at the Demon King’s corpse as I struggled to breath steadily and struggle to keep my balance. I was breathing heavily, I felt as though my heart was about to birst out of my chest. Then, I looked up at the radiant sun, it was just rising, as if it was saying “good morning”. I smiled, knowing that I can finally live a peaceful life. Before I know it, I collapsed on the solid ground.

I slowly opened my eyes, wondering who were the voices I was hearing. My eyes were fully opened, but all I could see was blurs. I, then tried to communicate with them.

“Where am I?” I asked the blurry figures as I slowly sat up.

“Please don’t move so much! Your cuts might open.” A female voice warned.

Once I sat up, my vision was finally clear. Right away, I saw a young, beatiful, blonde girl looking very worried. I glanced around, revealing two other people, who was also looking very worried.

“Seems like this family took care of me,” I thought to myself.

I noticed that I did not feel any pain, so I calmly said with a warm smile, “It’s alright, I do not feel any pain. Thank you.”

The young woman sighed in relief, including the two poeple behind her.

“Hero, we found you lying on the ground beside the Demon King. We’re so glad that you’re alright.” The woman started.

“And we also would like to thank you for protecting us during your battle. We owe you our lives.” The man added, the young woman took a step back and they all bowed, thanking me.

“It’s alright, don’t mention it,” I replied with a smile.

“Oh! We apologize for not introducing ourselves. My name is Joseph Rogers.” The man stated.

“And my name is Lenny Rogers” the woman added.

“I’m their daughter, Felisha Rogers.” The young woman said with a grin.

“Oh, we also sent a letter to the King to let them know that you’re here. They should be here soon.” Felisha added.

Then suddenly, three gentle knocks were heard from the door. Felisha walked towards the door and gently opened it revealing a female royal knight.

“Where is he?” The knight said worriedly.

Feliaha stood aside, revealing me with my cheat and arms covered in cloth. The knight bursted into tears as she sprinted towrds me and gently embraced me.

“Keisuke, I-I thought y-you were-“ the knight was cut off by me gently hushing her and softly said, “it’s alright, I’m here aren’t I?”

A minute later, we broke the hug, she stepped a few steps back, smiling knowing that I was alive.

“Felisha, this is Britney, my best friend. We used to be ina team together until she became a royal guard.” I said.

“And Britney, this is Felisha, she and her family found me and took care of me after the battle.” I added.

The girls smiled at each other and greeted each other while the shook each others hand.

“Keisuke, everyone is waiting for you outside, inculding the King. Are you in condition to walk?” Britney said.

“Yeah, I think so.” I replied.

“Okay, I’ll help you walk,” the firls said at the same time.

They looked at eachother like they were about to fight to the death.

“Uhh, I think I can walk by myself. See?” I quickly interupt as I slowly stood staright up.

They looked at me, then back at eachother before facing quickly at the opposite direction of one another before saying “Hmph!”. I smiled with a sweat drop.

We headed outside, knowing that a huge crowd would greet me.
