Ariana: "mom please I don't

want to marry, please mom . " she cried in front of her mom. they were

sitting in the Ariana room.

"Listen to me honey, you know your dad is in hug crises,

we can't do anything honey, please try to understand. if we would have any

choice we would have considered other options .you know we love you right. her

mother spoke tears flowing down her cheek.

she sits there and cried in her mom's arm.

Ariana's mom: why won't she agree I am indeed a good actress.

that bitch falls for it . " she smirked.

Andrew: good then I will fix the wedding date.

Ariana's mom: "ya finally we will be free from this

burden and all the wealth will be of our name after she is married. "

she jumped in Andrew's arm laughing.

Andrew: "sure darling. "

he said.

Ariana POV

this is it, today is the day I have to marry a man I don't

know anything about and it is just a day after my mother announced. I don' know

anything that I know is just the wedding will be in church and no guest will be

present except my parents and his parents. I was not ready for marriage yet but

I have to do this for my family, They have done so much to me, I have to repay

them.

I stood at the altar, my head hung low. I slightly raised my

eyes to look at the man, he was indeed handsome. The dark brown color of his

beautiful eyes, his dark brown hair neatly combed back and his sharp jawline..

but I saw his jaw clenching and then it hit me, his face was emotionless. He

was glaring at me. I immediately lowered my eyes. He seems angry but why? if he

was against this marriage then why did he agreed?

" The priest asked him and I looked up at him to find him looking at me. I

lowered my eye again. After a few seconds, he said

"I DO"

Do you Ariana smith take Xavier, knight, as your lawful

husband. " I immediately said "I DO" because I wanted to get

over with it and its not hat I have a choice... And then the wedding rings

exchanged.

My heart started to beat faster, he's gonna kiss me, I

instantly became nervous. I started to get up panic he slowly leaned forward

and kissed me slowly.

After the wedding my mom came to me hugged me "thankyou

so much for agreeing to this my daughter, I love you " she said and hugged

me again, I hugged her back as tears flow down my eyes.

I looked towards my right and scarlet looking at me with

haterade in her eyes. I smiled at her and looked away.

Ariana

The ride from the church to his house was silent. He didn't

even glance at me. I thought of looking at him but ignored that thought

immediately. We reached his penthouse building.

He left the car without uttering a word, I saw him talking

something to his driver then he walked past him. His driver came towards the

car to open the car door for me. It's not that I wasn't capable of doing it on

my own but I was tensed and was sitting rigidly in my position that I forgot I

had to get out of the car. I mumbled a small thank you to him and walked

towards where my husband was going.

I stepped in the elevator with him and stood behind him. My

heart was beating at an alarming rate, it felt like it's gonna explode anytime

soon. But luckily before it could happen the elevator door opened. He stepped

out first then I stepped out. He entered the passcode into the security panel

when clicking the sound of opening the door lock came he opened the door and

entered first.

Once I stepped inside the house, my steps came to halt

stopping me from moving any further. My heart which was speeding up at an

alarming rate a few minutes ago, now skipped a beat because the scene in front

of me was worth skipping a heartbeat for. My eyes went wide; I was stunned by

the beauty of the house.

I was in awe with the beauty of this house that I almost

forgot whose house was this and with whom I came here. The first thing caught

my eyes was the breathtaking skyline view which can be seen through the large

glass window of the living room. Just one word came in my mind when I saw the

scene

....Wow....just...wow...

I don't know why but right now where I am standing is making

me feel like a free bird. I have a feeling that I won't be caged here as they

caged me, I won't be treated here like they treated me. This place feels like

freedom to me.

I don't know what stepping in this new phase of life will

bring to me, but I was hopeful... hopeful like always I have been... hopeful

for a better life full of love, respect, and care.

My thoughts were interrupted by a voice full of annoyance.

"Are you gonna stand there the whole day or you gonna

come to see your room?"

When I looked at him he was already standing in the middle of

stairs with his hands in his pant pockets..looking extraordinarily handsome...

Well, when Scarlet was whining about marrying the man whom I

was forced to marry; saying he was handsome... I never imagined him to be this

handsome.

I nodded my head and followed him upstairs. He stopped in

front of a room.

"This is your room and beside this is my room. Do

whatever you want in your room but don't bother me." He said sternly. I

nodded my head looking down.

"Look at me when I talk to you" He grumbled.

he was just staring at me like he wanted to kill me.

Oh my goodness is he going to kill me?.

He opened his mouth to say something but shook his head and

turned around to leave but his steps came to halt, he again turned around and

stared at me clenching his jaw. He walked forward and I stayed rooted at my

place unable to move. He stopped a hand distance away from me. His face was

full of rage, he was constantly clenching his jaw.

"I don't know what magic you did on my parents that they

couldn't stop praising you and asked me to marry you. We are married but this

doesn't mean I accept you as my wife. Remember this.

I know you married me for money as if your father's money

wasn't enough for you otherwise, why would you say yes to marry me, we never

met each other before. You will never get any right to be my wife, you will

never interfere in any of my matters. Remember this...you are my wife only in

my parent's eyes...for me, you are just a gold-digging bitch...nothing

else." He seethed in anger. Saying this he turned around and left.

Again...all hopes of my desired life were broken. He

shattered all my hopes like glass into millions of pieces.

I don't know for how long I stood there dumbfounded trying to

grasp his words. But I came back into my senses when something warm touched my

cheeks, I touched my cheek with my hand to get to know those were my tears, I

was crying. No, I can't cry, I promised myself that I won't cry. I immediately

wiped my tears and entered the room.

If I wasn't this distressed I would have admired the beauty

of this room. But I just sauntered towards the cushioned bench placed against

the window showing the skyline view.

I sat on the bench not bothering to change my clothes and

stared outside the window at the skylines thinking about what he said.

He was angry, he got all his anger out on me. But what about

me? I was also angry, I also wanted to take out my anger, I also wanted to

scream, I also wanted to let out all I was feeling. But no I couldn't do it

because no one is there to listen to me, to my pain, my cries.

He called me gold-digging bitch, I don't know why it

pained....was I expecting him to be kind to me, good to me....maybe yes I

was...

Gold digger???? I never wanted gold, I just wanted a peaceful

life with a job that pays enough to meet my ends. I never dreamed of luxury. I

just dreamed of spending a simple life with the person who will love me

unconditionally, will respect me, will care for me.

What did I do to deserve all this?

With all those thoughts in my mind, I drifted off to sleep.

The year 2020 Los angles...

“We are here miss. you don’t look so well; do you want me to

send you to the hospital?” The taxi driver asked her, concern was seen on his

face.” no thanks.” she hands him the cash. “keep the change “she spoke walking

out of the taxi. she opened her umbrella was walk toward her so-called husband

mansion.

She heard these wired noises and stopped in front of her

room. A heave sign left her mouth as she opened the door. The sight for nothing

new Infront of her, her husband having sex with his mistress in front of his

wife. Xavier turned around and looked at her “you’re back “he questions calmly.

Ariana looked down replying “y-yeah “she walked inside keeping her bag on the

stand beside her.

“I’m hungry, go make me something. “he spoke wrapping the bed

sheet around him.

“why don’t you leave her baby, you have me right “the

mistress spoke, kissing him on his cheek.” why are you still here ??” he spoke

to her. “Xavier???” his mistress spoke. “get out !!!! he screams. The girl left

immediately. Xavier wore his robe around himself. Ariana went to make food for

him but he spoke making her stop in her track. “come with me to the party

tomorrow afternoon. “he spoke lighting a cigarette. “I’m not feeling very well,

can I….” he looked at her releasing the smoke in the air he spoke “no. this is

a project that I have to get. “

For the past 2 years, he has been bringing her to all kinds

of different parties. and he turned blind eye to all the people who took

advantage of her. He’s just taking his revenge on her for being married to her.

she was cutting the vegetable when she spoke again “let’s get

diverse “she spoke looking down.

he snapped at her “divorce, just forget about it!! “he

shouted holding her neck he spoke again “just so you know you deserve all this

for marrying me for ruining my life. “he pressed harder on her neck. “I’m not.”

she shutters “it not like that.I... I was. “she was trying to speak tears

filled her eyes but he stopped her “shut up, I feel disgusted just looking at

you now. it feels like I’ve directed my hand when I touch you!!” her eyes were

filled with tears, these two years she had not met her family, he did not let

her meet. he treated her like trash, never respected her as a wife. “in that

case why don’t you let me go “she spoke looking at his eyes. “I promise I’ll

never appear in front of you again and you’ll never be disgusted by me again.

“she spoke breaking down and sobbing “stop dreaming even if I have to tie you

up, I’ll keep you by my side! I will torment you day and night. you’ll wish

you’re dead !!” he pushed her on the ground with full force and walk out of the

house. “Bang !!! the door shut “

“I thought if I love you and try to make you understand my

situation, you will love me back but I think it impossible “she spoke

"sir the presentation is ready, your video conferencing

will start soon, we have to go. " Mr. Sean, Xavier secretary spoke.

“This contract is really important for us if you get this

contract, we will be working with the world top businessman “TAEHYUNG ” I am

trying to contact him for 2 years and this year we agree to see what we can

give them. so, everything should be perfect to make sure of that “Xavier spoke.

Sean nodded and walk out with Xavier.

THE ROYAL STARCAST was written on screen with bold letters

cause the meeting had not started yet.

Xavier sat on his chair in front of the screen and his

employee standing near the whiteboard to show the presentation. the camera

turned to show the most feared man in the business world, he also knows as king

of business the CEO of ROYAL STARECAST MR. TAEHYUNG KIM “he looked in the eyes

of Xavier through the screen.

“Hello Mr. KIM nice to finally meet you “Xavier spoke. Taehyung

nodded and greeted back professionally. and the meeting started. It took one

and a half hours and for the meeting to end and Xavier, our final walk out of

the room.

“Congratulations sir you finally did it, the contract has

been signed; I just got a mail from starcast,” Sean spoke.

“They are indeed fast; I am very glad to finally work with

him” Xavier spoke.
