Emily's POV

Me and my parents were getting ready for our trip to Japan as I've always wanted to go there. Suddenly my mum shouted. "Emily hurry up we're in leaving 5 minutes!" I then shouted back, "I know, I'll be down there soon!" I quickly went and grab my phone, power bank and my phone charger. Once I got them, I quickly went downstairs. When I came down I saw my dad talking on the phone in the kitchen. He had a worry face on and immediately I was concerned I saw him hung up and walked over to him and asked,"is everything okay?" He looked at me and gave me a sweet smile telling me it was fine I got the message and brought my luggage to the car.

I went outside seeing my mum putting in the luggage in the trunk of the car. I walked towards her telling her that I would take over. She kissed me on my forehead and walked back in the house. Since I am a foody I went back inside to grab a snack. Before I opened the door I heard my parents talking at the other side of the door. Then I heard my dad said, "should we really be going on this trip? I mean it'll be safer if we just stay here." I kept standing there letting curiousity get the best of me. My mum spoke back, "you know we can't. We promised her we would take her to Japan this year." My dad then responded, "but they're looking for us, they called earlier and they said that they'll be doing something to us."

My mother of course scolded him a bit,"oh please. They're just threatening us. They need us so don't worry. If they kill us they won't be able to get the forlula as we are the only people who know where it is hidden." My father sighed and agreed with her. I quickly ran to the wait in the car. Luckily it was unlocked and went inside. I thought of the conversation that I overheard.

"Who were they talking about? "

"Who were after them?"

"Who were threatening them?"

I decided to shrug it off since its none of my business. It might be about a dangerous business their doing. You see, my parents work are scientist so they do a lot research I don't even know about. Now that I think about they never really talk about their job, at least, not in front of me.

Soon I see my parents and I see them holding snacks and I instantly smile,"they know me so well." My Dad got into the driver's seat and my mum went into the passenger's seat, my mum and dad gave me the chips and I said thank you and open a pack of Doritos cheese flavor which is my favorite flavor. My dad starts the car and I he begins to drive to the airport, my mum, dad and me were talking about what to do in Japan. I didn't know where we were staying because they wanted it to be a suprise.

Out of nowhere I hear gun shots I wanted to look back but my mum yelled at me to get down and I did as I was told. I didn't know what was happening but what I do know is that we were in danger. I could sense my dad speeding up, I was confused and scared at the same time, I wanted to cry but I see my parents trying to stay clam and not panick. I took deep breathes to try to calm myself down. Just as I was calming down my dad shouted "THEY GOT ONE OF THE TIRES!!!" My dad lost control over the car and we crash. In the process of that crash I saw my dad lying on the steering wheel, then I started crying. Then I saw a group of men opening the doors to my parents, then they open the car door nearest to me and dragged me out. I saw a man get a bat and start hitting it at me hard then he got a syringe from another man and injected it to my neck I whimperd because he injected it on one of my bruise. They then shot me once on the thigh, then stabbed me once on the stomach, I screamed and laid on the road whimpering and crying. I then started to lose consciousness and I looked the other way to see my parents lying on the ground my dad was unconscious but my mum was begging for mercy. Them I see them point guns at my parents and they shot them, I then heard their laughs. Then I fell out consciousness and saw nothing but black.

Lucas POV

I was visiting a hospital because the person in charge said that their was a patient who kept complaining. My nurses and doctors tried everything they could to try to reason with the patient but the patient wouldn't shut up. I arrived in room 266 which is the room the patient was in. I honestly didn't want to come because I had important pack meetings to to attend to. I went inside without knocking because it was my hospital, once I saw the patient I knew who he was. He was one of Alex's warriors. Alex is a fellow Alpha like me but I have more power of course. We weren't friends and I wouldn't say that we're enemies either, let's just say we are on neutral terms. The patient look to my direction finally sensing me. He looked at me with wide eyes, probably in disbelief that I actually came. He then smirked which made me angry. He was looking at someone that could kill him instantly. I then spoke,"why were you causing trouble in the hospital?" It took him a moment for him to answer which he did," well, you see some of the nurses and doctors have been very rude to me." I made a little chuckle at his answer then thought to myself, " you might be a strong warrior but you're definitely not smart." I then spoke back, " how could you possibly prove that? I have lectured all employees in all the hospitals I owned to not talk back to patients unless necessary." He then started to think of what other excuses he would use on me. I already know that he just wanted money from me but I'm not going to give it to them that easily. I could have already paid them if I wanted to but the pack members would just see me as weak. He smirk and showed me a bruise on his arm. I sighed and immediately call Alex to come pick him up. He apologized and say he'll be on his way. He looked at me shocked and I said, "well, you see that bruise on your is caused by yourself as I have video proof that you injured yourself and that you were the one disrespectfing the employees." He looked down he finally submit to me I told him that his Alpha will be coming to pick him up, he nodded an I went out. Now that I got that sorted out I could finally go to the pack meeting.

While taking the elevator down my wolf Silver suddenly got excited, and I know all to well what this meant. My mate was here. I quickly went to the first floor to see if she was waiting. I didn't sensed much so I went to the second floor. She wasn't there either. I went all the way up to the 12th floor which is where emergency surgeries are performed once I walked out of the elevator her scent became strong, it became intoxicating she smelled like chocolate pancakes which was one of my most favorite scents in the world. But then I smelled it mixed with blood. My wolf wanted to take over but I refused him saying that he might caused trouble. He was angry at me refusing him but I didn't complain because I would probably act the same. I then arrived at the door to one of the surgery rooms and I could smell her inside. I banged the door open and saw the doctors jump. They were preparing for the surgery and I yelled at one of the nurses,"QUICKLY GRAB ME A UNIFORM!" she nodded and went to grab one. One of the doctors then spoke,"Alpha what are you doing here and why do you want to help preform the surgery?" I glared at him and he look down the nurse came back with a uniform and I immediately changed, I quickly ran to my mate seeing her beautiful face then I whispered, "Mate" the doctors and nurses look at me in shock but they know that there are other important manners to, like saving my mate. Then we begin the surgery.

While preforming the surgery, one nurse said that her heartbeat was slowing down, Lucas begins to panick,

"come on Lucas save her. We just found our mate and we're about to lose her without knowing her name, her eye colour, how she sounds!?!"

"Silver shut up I'm trying to concentrae, and no we are not going to lose her and we will definitely know her name, her eye colour, and how she sounds like."

"well you better!"

Then I cut him off.

After long hours of doing the surgery we managed to save her but the bad news was, she was in a coma. When Siver heard she was in a coma he whimpered. I wanted to let her move into my house but right now she is in an unstable condition which might make it worse. So I told my beta who is also my best friend Adam that we would be moving into the hospital until my mate wakes up. I then ask Adam to see if he could looked her up for me, he agreed. I then went to her room and ran to examine her face. My wolf Silver started to scold me.

"Lucas don't take advantage of mate while she's resting!"

I then said,

"No Silver I would never do such a thing to her. Or else she would never forgive me. I'm just want to make sure of something."

"I'm making sure that she didn't have any more injuries. Witness say that it was a car accident but she and her parents were laying outside and we found a couple of bullets in her parents bodies and one on her and of course a stab on her stomach ."

My wolf then growled at the idea of our mate being attacked. While I examin her neck I saw an injection it was unnoticable but since I'm a werewolf I had supreme vision when I saw this me and my wolf growl. I told Silver to calm down and he did I went to and touch the injection and felt electricity shock all over my body and I love it she also flinch her hand a little this made me and Silver purr because we knew that the mate bond is strong because she could even feel the bond although being unconscious.
